The next day, I knew one thing for certain I couldn't leave for the pack without my mate. Mars would never let me rest. I needed her with me, but she wouldn't follow me willingly. The only option left was to kidnap her.
A small smile tugged at my lips at the thought.
Still lost in my thoughts, Dennis walked in.
"Good morning, Alpha Mason. I came with the information for your little mate," he said, handing me the file.
Melina Webster: 22 years old.
Relationship status: single.
Date of Birth: March 22nd.
Family: adoption.
Work experience: waitress and stripper.
Adopted from: Lily Rose Orphanage Home.
Raised by: Lina and Thomas since childhood.
Condition: maltreated.
I closed the file and placed it in my drawer.
"Dennis, get ready. You have another mission before we leave for the pack."
"What should I do for you, Alpha?" he asked.
"Kidnap her," I said simply.
"When I say her, I mean my mate. Bring her. We're taking her to the pack. I need to speak with Selena she must ask the Moon Goddess why my mate is human. I need answers. And I need her close because of Mars. I'll be expecting you and my mate at the border. Make the kidnapping fast and clean up every trace."
I left him to carry out the task.
I drove my car deep into the outskirts of the city. When I reached the forest, I stepped out and burned the vehicle to erase any trace wolf hunters were becoming a problem. I could afford a new car anytime; this one didn't matter.
I waited patiently. I could have waited at the border, but I didn't want rogues attacking Dennis while he was with my mate.
Five minutes later, the plane landed. I knew it was him. The pilot and the flight attendant came out to greet me they were members of my pack.
Dennis handed my mate over to me. She was unconscious.
I turned to the pilot and attendant.
"Be careful out there. Wolf hunters are looking for prey. I won't be around to save you."
"We'll be careful, Alpha," they replied.
I shifted into my wolf form. Mars immediately licked my mate's face. We lifted her onto our back and ran all the way toward the pack.
When we reached the border, Dennis and I shifted into human form. The guards brought clothes for us. They bowed and stared at my mate, curiosity clearly in their eyes.
"Dennis, get Selena to the pack house," I ordered.
He took off running to fetch her while I continued to the pack house. I carried my mate into my room and laid her gently on my bed. She was still unconscious, breathing softly.
I sat beside her and just stared.
She was beautiful undeniably so.
