In the next few days, Neves' daily life didn't change much.
He still goes to the church the moment he wakes up, to be blessed by the sister's prayers there.
Then goes to the dungeon and spends an entire day hunting down monsters for their drops.
After that, he'll leave the dungeon.
Buy some food for dinner at the stalls he always goes to, with a tiny change of buying an actual full meal instead of a single skewer of meat, and go back to the horse stable to sleep.
Having done this for an entire month without missing a single day, he couldn't get rid of such a habit in one go, so even though he now has money, he still keeps doing it.
The only change that happened in these past days is him buying a hand-sized lance blade he uses on the second floor.
That helps him greatly in taking down the enemies there.
Thanks to this, he managed to grind experience points and reach level 6 already.
Now, on the 5th day after he found that golden snail, he was back inside the dungeon, this time with a small change.
"I'm not feeding you two," Neves said to the two adventurers before him, as they stood in the grassy hills within the first floor.
"Of course," a man with red hair said. Wearing a chest piece armor, colored in black, with a gem in the middle of it. His face firm and handsome, with a striking jawline too.
"Yes!" Around the height of 5'6, a petite brown-haired woman said cheerfully. She wore a green-colored cloak, combined with wood-colored pants, while going barefoot.
Looking at her, Neves could only think of her as a ranger in the forest. While the man was a fallen knight, corrupted by a demonic power.
Looking at them, Neves wondered how he got to this point. Earlier, when he was about to enter the dungeon, he was stopped by Lenin again.
Thinking it would be their daily bantering with each other, he didn't mind it and went towards her.
The moment he did, Lenin didn't say her usual dialogue to him, but introduced these two instead.
Asking what they wanted with him, he was told that they would be joining him in his dungeon run today.
Of course, he didn't agree at all, as making a team with strangers was not an ideal thing to do — especially now that he was known to bring a skill book worth over a hundred gold.
But hearing their reason for doing this, Neves could not help but agree.
"Still, to think the guild secretary would go this far..." Neves said to himself quietly, as these two were acting as observers for him.
From what they said, they would be watching how he does his usual hunting in the dungeon.
Based on what they'll see, they will report this back to the guild, which will decide what rank he'll get after.
"Still, she already did what I asked her for... that's terrifying." He said, finally getting to the area where they were allowed to go down the floor.
Looking back at them, he found them ready to go. Seeing this, he didn't hesitate to move forward to the next floor.
The moment they were on the second floor, the two with him noticed they were already surrounded by multiple monsters.
Not just in one direction, but in all four directions, and each one had different monsters on them.
Knowing this, they looked at Neves, wanting to see what he'll do at this moment, and whether he already knew this.
Looking at his attire, the lady could not help but think, 'Still, going inside a dungeon with only civilian clothing?'
As Neves wore a simple black shirt and pants, while barefoot too, for some reason.
Sensing something wrong, seeing the two people with him suddenly quiet to the point he couldn't hear their breathing, Neves quickly prepared himself.
Summoning the lance blade he brought, he tied it tight into his hand, not wanting it to slip out.
'They're here,' the two thought at the same time. Turning their heads to Neves, they continued.
'Now, what will you—' before they could even finish their thoughts, Neves already ran towards the north gate.
Running towards the largest number of monsters there were.
Seeing this, the two gave a nod to each other and followed him.
"He's a bit reckless, don't you think?" the ranger said.
"Or he's scared and trying to run away from a fight, thinking the area up ahead is safe."
"Hmm, are you sure about that?"
"...?"
"Look at us. We're known for being fast with our feet, yet we can't catch up to him. Do you really think he would run away from a group of low-level monsters if he's this fast?"
Hearing that, the knight noticed this and realized what she was saying was true.
They had only been running for a moment, yet they could not catch up with him.
Seeing this, he smiled and said to the ranger, "Speed up, we'll see whether he can fight or not in the next corner."
Sensing there was a room just a few meters ahead, where Neves ran off to.
"Ok!" she yelled back, using her skills. Seeing this, the knight too activated his speed-up skill.
The moment they got to the room Neves was in, multiple corpses of goblins were already on the ground.
Looking deeper into the room, they found Neves fighting multiple skeletons.
"They're here now," Neves said, ducking down as a bone swung toward his head.
Counting the number of skeletons around him, he counted a total of seven — including the one before him.
Stretching his arm at the one before him, he grabbed its hip and pulled it out, making the skeleton break apart.
"Can't kill it yet, but immobilize them for now," he said, jumping to the side as another did a sideslash, using another skeleton's leg bone.
"Seven," he uttered, sweat breaking out on his face. "Too many for me if I'm surrounded, too small for them to do it."
Saying so, he jumped away from his current position and started running around the room, spreading out the skeletons chasing him.
Facing a wall, the two tried to intervene by helping him.
The moment Neves was just a meter away from the wall, he jumped on it, pressing his foot against it like a spider.
Gathering strength in his legs, he flew above the heads of the six skeletons, reaching their backline.
"Good," Neves said, thankful that the skeletons were half his size only.
Stretching both his arms toward the head of a skeleton, he twisted it and pulled it apart from its body.
Placing his hand into it like a punching gloves, Neves started landing jabs and uppercuts on them, making their heads crack and fly from their bodies.
"Haaah..." He breathed out, finally pulling out the last head of a skeleton from its body.
"That took longer than I thought," he said, summoning a water pouch from his ring and drinking from it.
Seeing what just happened before them, the two stayed silent, not expecting him to start using his enemy's body to take them down.
"Is that legal?" the ranger asked, pointing at Neves surrounded by multiple headless skeletons.
"I guess?" the knight answered, still confused about what just happened before their eyes.
