Reading Jie's message, Anthony was first struck momentarily blank — and then, on pure reflex, tapped the Check-In button.
No item drop. Collected 20 Points and moved on.
Only after that did he turn his full attention back to Jie's words, his brow knitting together involuntarily.
Seriously? Already? It's only been a day or two since this chat group came online, hasn't it?
Wait — didn't Jonathan mention that the flow of time on his end was incredibly abnormal…? God, that's wild. It's actually accelerated this far?
In a single blink, the entire plot of Part Two had been skipped over — plus several decades before Part Three — jumping directly to the moment the Egypt arc was about to begin.
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: So right now, you're… attached to DIO's body?]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: It appears so. Perhaps because DIO has been using my body — my soul has no choice but to remain bound to this vessel. I cannot leave it, at least for now.]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: That said, I can feel the flow of time has slowed considerably… though everything still seems to be proceeding at an accelerated pace overall.]
Still accelerating?
Where exactly is this plot trying to jump to? Surely it can't be skipping straight to Egypt and the final showdown with DIO's crew?
Anthony turned that over in his mind for a moment, then typed into the group chat:
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: At a normal flow of time, you'd have roughly two more months. But given the current situation, it's hard to pin down a specific number.]
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: Either way — let me send you a rundown of the plot from your side first. You can use it as a reference to gauge the timeline.]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: Understood. My thanks.]
Immediately after, Anthony dug around and found an extraction function buried in the Resource Exchange interface. He quickly packaged up everything he remembered about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part Three and sent it over to Jonathan — and couldn't help feeling a small wave of relief.
Good thing the chat group had at least some decency and didn't lock away a utility function that tucked away in a corner like that.
But then again — once Jonathan actually read through Part Three and saw what state his descendants were in…
The mental image surfaced, and Anthony's expression went distinctly strange.
Honestly couldn't say what the last true gentleman of the Joestar bloodline was going to make of all that.
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: Don't mention it — but once you've finished reading, you absolutely must send me your thoughts.]
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: Please. I'm being completely serious. This is extremely important.]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: I don't quite understand why, but I'll do it.]
After closing the group chat, Anthony kept fishing with one hand and started turning things over in his mind with the other.
The situation had shifted meaningfully from before. Events on Jonathan's end had clearly reached a point of considerable urgency.
In the span of an eyeblink, the entire Part Two plotline had been skipped — along with the decades before Part Three — fast-forwarded straight to the cusp of the Egypt arc and the final clash with DIO's crew.
First things first: this was an event Anthony had actually been planning to get involved in.
For one thing, he'd already asked the chat group — the quest-distribution system was apparently fully functional. The group could issue high-reward quests at any time, triggered by major events occurring in a member's world.
When the showdown with DIO finally came, there was no way the chat group would let that slide without handing out some kind of quest. If the rewards were generous enough, Anthony stood to make an enormous profit off this one event alone.
For another thing… the JoJo world was genuinely, obscenely lucrative.
If he actually participated in the battle against DIO, Anthony didn't even dare imagine how high his Affinity Bond with the JoJo world would spike. And the higher the Affinity Level, the rarer the items he could pull.
And speaking of items from JoJo — there was one specific thing Anthony had his eye on.
The Arrow.
The powerful catalyst for awakening a Stand. As the most iconic power system in the entire JoJo series, a Stand offered raw stats and unique mechanics in equal measure — as long as you didn't roll something like Silver Chariot and end up cursing your luck, it was an unqualified win every single time.
But Anthony had another reason for wanting the Arrow specifically — a Stand was explicitly something that bound itself to a soul.
Even in their current state — every group member dead, existing only as souls — it would still activate.
That was the key point.
Right now, Anthony had managed to scrape together a few useful items, but his actual combat capability was precisely zero. If he could get his hands on the Arrow and awaken a decent Stand, it would go a long way toward filling that gap.
And even if he couldn't get the Arrow — fishing during the battle, he might manage to reel up one of Father Pucci's discs. That would work too.
"Stands matter enormously… so before the battle against DIO officially kicks off, I need to have something that earns me a seat at the table."
Anthony muttered it inwardly, and made his decision.
"In other words — I need to find a way to power myself up."
To get involved at all, the prerequisite was unlocking the [World Traversal] feature — which would cost 1,000 Points.
Beyond that, he needed to grind his Soul Ability Tree as hard as possible. Even unlocking a handful of support abilities would be enough — as long as he could find some way to contribute to the upcoming Egypt raid and actually be useful when it mattered.
When you stripped it all back, it came down to one thing: Points.
"I'm so broke. So incredibly, painfully broke…"
Anthony sighed with feeling, then opened the group chat and gave everyone a quick heads-up — there might be support quests incoming, so anyone who could should start preparing for cross-world raiding. Then he closed the chat again and went back to fishing in earnest.
Unlock the last feature first. After that, focus everything on powering up.
As for how exactly to power up — Anthony had a plan forming. He'd save it for after World Traversal was unlocked.
He'd just reeled in a piece of cyberware worth around 100 Points when the group chat pulled him back.
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: …@Lord of the White Holy Throne — I've finished reading.]
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: Oh? That fast? So — what are your thoughts?]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: …]
[AAA City Female Ghost: Why does it feel like there's been a very long silence? Was it… that bad?]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: …The Joestar bloodline is cooked.]
He choked on a laugh.
The moment he read that message, Anthony felt an overwhelming urge to burst out laughing — but his instincts immediately told him that probably wasn't appropriate, so he clamped down on it with everything he had.
He'd known it. He'd known that the moment Jonathan got a look at what Parts Two and Three had done to the Joestar name, even a man with nerves of steel would come out the other side saying the family was absolutely cooked.
[Let Night City Burn: Just how outrageous does something have to be to make Mr. Jonathan say something like that?]
[Lord of the White Holy Throne: Ahem. Well. We can discuss the details another time — so what are you planning to do now?]
On the other side of the chat, Jonathan was quiet for a moment.
Then he typed:
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: No matter what — they are still my descendants, aren't they?]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: And if DIO is the cause of all of this, then the disaster was born from something I failed to see through to the end. Whatever it takes, I must be the one to resolve it. This is the fate I am meant to face.]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: So please — I'm counting on you.]
[Founder of the Golden Spirit: I will come back to life. And then I will return DIO to where he was always meant to be.]
