I stretched as i glanced at the clock in the cafe
1:00pm
'Fuck… one hour for this? That's a first' I thought, clearing the computer's history before standing.
"I really need to get my own laptop" I muttered under my breath as I walked towards the exit
"Hey, you stop there" A voice said
I kept walking until I heard footsteps behind me
I turned around and came face to face with a middle aged man with a burly figure
I glanced at him as he directed a glare towards me
"Hey, are you deaf, didn't you hear me talking to you" The man said
I glanced around me..., upon noticing nobody close to me, I turned my gaze back to him
"Are you talking to me" I asked with raised brows
"Of course I'm talking to you, who else would I be talking to if not you" the man said angrily
My brows furrowed in displeasure
"Ok, so why were you calling me" I asked
"Where's my money" The man said
"Your what?!" I said, looking at him in surprise
"When did I take your money" i asked
The man facepalmed
"That's not what I meant. I'm asking for payment—you used my computers but didn't pay. Do you think I'm running a charity here?" the man said.
I looked at him with raised brows
"Are you crazy.., The sign outside literally says free services, so why should I pay" I asked coldly
"That sign has already expired, I just forgot to take it down" The man said, waving his hands
"And how's that my business, next time remember to take it down..., The sign says free services so I'm not paying" I said indifferently as I turned around to leave
"And where do you think you're going, you little brat" The man roared angrily as he stretched his hand to grab my hair
My eyes turned cold as I glanced backwards
"If I were you, I wouldn't try that, your predecessors who tried that didn't have a good ending" I warned calmly
The man froze momentarily upon meeting my cold gaze but continued his line of action
"Who do you think you're trying to scare little kid" The man said mockingly
I sighed softly, then turned and caught his arm, forcing it behind his back before delivering a sharp kick to the back of his leg, driving him to his knees.
The man thrashed, stretching his free hand behind him in a desperate attempt to grab me.
I glanced at his futile resistance as I shoved his face to the ground and stepped on his fingers, breaking some bones in the process
The man cried out in pain
"You should be lucky that I'm not wearing heels if not your story would have been much worse" I said, my eyes devoid of any emotions
I glanced around the cafe and noticed it's customers frozen in shock and fear
Not wanting to attract any more attention, I searched the man's pockets
"I will be keeping this as compensation" I said as I grabbed the man's money from one of his pockets
After one final glance, I bolted, vanishing into the crowded streets.
