Chapter 114 - CHAPTER 114:FIRST DREAMER GIFT

The night before the campaign, Kafu sat alone in his chambers, the Star Core pulsing softly beside him. His mind was a storm of strategies, contingencies, possibilities. Forty-six worlds. Fifty thousand enemies. Three Eternal Celestials waiting at the heart of the Collective.

And somewhere in the shadows, Valerius Varnax sharpened his blade.

The golden text blazed before his eyes.

THE FIRST DREAMER'S GIFT

Before Kafu could study the update further, the air in his chamber shifted. Reality folded, folded again, and a presence materialized—not a being, but a message given form. A scroll of light, sealed with the Infinity Rune, floating before him.

He touched it, and a voice echoed through his mind—ancient, vast, amused.

[THE FIRST DREAMER — MESSAGE]

"Kafu of the Ashari.

You have done what few have done. You have passed the Heaven Tribulations. You have claimed the title of The One. You have trained students who became legends, and you have built an army that makes civilizations tremble.

I have watched you. Not as a master watches a student, but as a dreamer watches a dream that has learned to dream itself.

Take this gift: one sextillion UC. Enough to build empires. Enough to free worlds. Enough to remind you that wealth is a tool, not a purpose.

But hear me, Scorpion King. The universe is unpredictable. The powerful fall. The mighty fade. Even I, the First Dreamer, am not eternal. One day, something will come that even I cannot survive.

But a being with a title? A being whose name is written in the fabric of existence? Those beings do not die. They become stories. They become legends. They become the bones upon which new universes are built.

You are The One of the RVC. You are The Unkillable of the Slaughter Organization. These titles protect you in ways you cannot imagine.

But titles can be lost. They can be forgotten. They can be claimed by others.

Before you face what comes next—before you wake your Makena, before you face the Chaos Sovereign's challenge, before you become what you are meant to become—earn another title. One that cannot be taken. One that will survive even the end of existence.

The universe is watching, Scorpion King. Make sure it remembers.

—The First Dreamer"

---

[GIFT RECEIVED — FIRST DREAMER'S FAVOR]

Item Amount

UC 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 UC (1 SEXTILLION)

Note This is a gift, not a loan. Use it wisely.

Kafu stared at the numbers. One sextillion UC. Enough to buy star systems. Enough to fund a war across forty-six worlds. Enough to build something that would last for eternity.

But the warning echoed in his mind. The universe is unpredictable. The First Dreamer could die. But one with a title always survives.

He touched the rune on his heart.

What title could survive the end of existence?

---

THE COUNCIL OF WAR — DAWN

The next morning, Kafu gathered his forces in the Grand Arena of New Hope.

One hundred thousand soldiers stood in formation—Realm Lords in gleaming armor, Dantian Genesis warriors with weapons that could cut through reality, shadow soldiers flickering between life and death, transcendent beasts crouched and ready.

Above them, ten Void Dreadnaughts hung in the sky, their hulls painted with the Scorpion sigil. Fifty corvettes circled like sharks. A hundred troop transports waited to carry the army to war.

Kafu stood on a platform before them, his twelve wives behind him, his twenty-one commanders at his sides.

"Today," he said, his voice carrying across the arena, "we begin."

He raised his hand, and the holographic map of the Shadow Collective's worlds appeared above him.

"Eighteen worlds in the Outer Rim. Weak garrisons. Complacent commanders. They have grown fat on the suffering of slaves. They believe themselves safe because they are far from the core."

He smiled.

"They are wrong."

---

THE PLAN — OUTER RIM

Kafu's voice was cold, precise.

"Phase One will take seven days. One world per day. The shadow soldiers will infiltrate before dawn, eliminating sentries and disabling communications. At sunrise, the Realm Lords will strike the garrisons. By noon, the commanders will be dead. By nightfall, the chains will be broken."

He looked at Seraphina.

"Your intelligence network has identified the leaders of each world. Their habits. Their defenses. Their weaknesses. Share this information with the commanders."

Seraphina bowed. "It is done, master."

He looked at Morana.

"Your shadows will lead the infiltration. No alarms. No warnings. They will not know we are coming until we are already upon them."

Morana's form flickered. "They will not see us until it is too late."

He looked at Elara, Theron, and the other commanders.

"You will lead the assault. Strike fast. Strike hard. Leave no commander alive to rally the troops. The soldiers who surrender will be offered a choice: join us, or face justice for their crimes."

Elara's jaw tightened. "And those who do not surrender?"

Kafu's eyes blazed. "They will not survive to regret it."

---

WORLD ONE: ZAMBEZI-8

The first world was called Zambezi-8—a mining colony like the one where Kafu had been born, where he had been enslaved, where he had first learned that the universe was cruel.

The irony was not lost on him.

The shadow soldiers moved before dawn. Ten thousand beings of death and darkness, phasing through walls, slipping past sentries, eliminating guards without a sound. By the time the sun rose on Zambezi-8, the Collective's communications were dead, their reinforcements sealed, their leaders trapped in their fortress.

Kafu stood at the head of his army, his gold-red eyes fixed on the fortress gates.

"Break them."

The Realm Lords moved.

Five thousand cultivators, each one capable of destroying continents, descended on the fortress like a storm. Walls crumbled. Shields shattered. Defenses that had held for centuries dissolved like mist.

The Collective's commander—a Void Knight who had ruled Zambezi-8 for three thousand years—emerged from the rubble, his power flaring.

"Who dares—"

He never finished the sentence. Kafu appeared before him, the Dream Devourer already extended, already piercing the commander's heart.

"You," Kafu said quietly, "dared to enslave my people."

The commander's eyes widened. "You... you're the—"

"I am the Scorpion King. And your reign is over."

The commander fell. The fortress fell. The world fell.

By noon, the chains were broken. Fifty thousand slaves emerged from their pens, blinking in the sunlight, unsure if they were dreaming.

Kafu stood among them, his gold-red eyes soft.

"You are free," he said. "All of you. The Shadow Collective no longer holds this world."

An old woman stepped forward, her back bent from decades of labor, her eyes sharp with hope.

"You're the one they talk about. The one who freed Zambezi-7."

Kafu knelt before her. "I am."

She touched his face, her fingers trembling. "My grandson was on Zambezi-7. He was sold when the camps fell. Do you know... do you know if he lives?"

Kafu closed his eyes, reaching out through the soul bonds that connected him to the freed slaves of Zambezi-7. He found the boy—a young man now, training with the army, growing strong.

"He lives," Kafu said. "He is in New Hope. He is free."

The old woman wept.

Kafu rose, looking at the freed slaves around him.

"Those who wish to fight are welcome in my army. Those who wish to build are welcome in my city. Those who wish to leave are free to go wherever they choose." He smiled. "You are no longer slaves. You are what you choose to be."

---

THE CAMPAIGN CONTINUES

The pattern repeated across the Outer Rim.

World by world, the shadow soldiers infiltrated. World by world, the Realm Lords struck. World by world, the Collective's commanders fell.

Day Two: Zambezi-9. A research world where the Collective experimented on slaves, trying to extract life genes through torture. Kafu found the laboratories. He found the survivors. He found the scientists who had performed the experiments.

He gave them to Morana.

Day Three: Veridia-3. A pleasure world where the Collective's elite came to indulge their worst impulses. Kafu's army found slave markets, fighting pits, breeding camps. They freed thirty thousand souls. They burned the markets to ash.

Day Four: Kaelen's Reach. A fortress world where the Collective stored weapons and supplies. The fighting was harder here—the garrison was larger, the defenses stronger. But the shadow soldiers had already poisoned the water supply, and the Realm Lords struck before dawn.

By noon, the fortress was theirs.

Day Five: The Shattered Moon. A mining colony built into the corpse of a dead planet. The Collective had been strip-mining the moon for ten thousand years, working slaves to death and replacing them with new captives. Kafu's army found mass graves. They found survivors who had been born in the mines and never seen the sky.

They freed them all.

Day Six: Ashara's Rest. A world that had once been free, before the Collective conquered it and renamed it. Kafu stood in the ruins of its capital, looking at the statues of heroes who had died fighting the invasion.

"Your world will be free again," he said to the freed slaves. "And your heroes will be remembered."

Day Seven: The Gates. The last world of the Outer Rim, and the gateway to the Mid Sector. The Collective had fortified it heavily, knowing what was coming. Ten thousand soldiers. A Void Knight commander. Reality anchors that could trap even Eternity Masters.

Kafu faced them alone.

He walked through the gates, the Dream Devourer in his hands, his twelve wives behind him, his army waiting in the shadows.

The commander—a woman with iron-gray hair and eyes that had seen too much—stood before him.

"You are the Scorpion King."

"I am."

"I have heard the stories. The Thousand vs One. The twelve ancestors. The students who claimed all five thrones." She smiled, and there was something like respect in her eyes. "I do not fear you."

Kafu raised the Dream Devourer. "You should."

The battle lasted three hours.

When it was over, the commander lay dead at his feet, her army scattered, her fortress in ruins. Kafu stood in the center of the carnage, his armor scarred, his power drained, his spirit unbroken.

Kyrella appeared beside him. "The world is ours."

"The sector is ours." Kafu looked toward the stars, toward the fifteen worlds of the Mid Sector, waiting in the darkness. "Now, we go deeper."

Kafu studied the numbers, then dismissed the notification. There would be time for rewards later. Now, there was work to do.

He looked at the map of the Mid Sector, at the fifteen worlds that awaited.

"Tomorrow," he said to his wives, "we begin Phase Two."

Kyrella's Starlight blazed. "And Varnax?"

Kafu smiled—a predator's smile, cold and sharp.

"Let him watch. Let him plan. Let him believe he is the hunter." He touched the reversed contract in his soul. "When the time comes, he will learn what it means to be prey."
