The next day…
As Missio had suspected, Dick had pled guilty to the panel of judges at the high court. The Assemblyman had soon been transferred to the rehabilitation facility or in simple terms, prison.
Now, the bereft had only one thing left to do – interrogate him.
For that task, he had called upon a trustworthy but unreliable companion from the Black Ops First unit.
Missio leaned against his SUV at the perimeter of the Black Ops HQ. With his head down, he patiently waited for his co-worker to arrive. Then, after a few minutes, he heard a familiar voice greet him.
"Ay, O' Captain, my Captain. Heard you needed some help."
The Lieutenant General lifted his head and tilted it to the side. In his vision, he saw young man the same age as him approaching.
A bright smile plastered over his face. Brown hair, captivating umber eyes and plush skin of the same color, wearing the same attire that Missio wore – Krishna.
Twisting a black ring on his middle finger, he locked eyes with Missio. Missio straightened and faced his friend.
"Took you long enough."
Krishna chuckled. "Gotta be prepared for everything, Y'know."
"We're going to an interrogation…" Missio drew his keys, opening his car.
"The guy's gotta remember my face long after I'm gone, Missio." Krishna moved around the vehicle, opening the opposite door.
Both enforcers entered the SUV and slammed the door shut. A blue light shot out of the instrument panel, scanning Missio's retina. The next second, the whole interior lit up as Missio gripped the wheel. Then, he reversed out of the parking lot and began heading towards the rehabilitation facility.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the prison. Missio and Krishna stepped out of the car. The Lieutenant General locked his vehicle as his coworker stepped beside him.
"You ready?" Missio inquired.
"I was born ready." Krishna smirked.
Missio groaned, rolling his eyes. They walked towards the prison surrounded by thick steel walls with officers on each corner. Krishna strolled beside him with an unserious demeanor. They passed the walls, went past the entrance and eventually found themselves in front of the Warden's office.
Missio knocked. The next moment, a twangy voice sounded from the other side.
"Come in."
Missio seized the doorknob and twisted it, entering the room alongside Krishna. Seeing the Lieutenant General of the Black Ops entering his office, the Warden of the prison immediately shot up and saluted his superior
"Greetings, Lieutenant General."
"No need…" Missio waved. "I need to conduct an interrogation."
The Warden raised a brow. "On who?"
"Dick Quartel."
The man paused for a moment and pondered that name.
"Dick Quartel… oh, yeah, he just came in yesterday. Do ya wanna see him now or…?"
"Right now – we don't got time to waste." Krishna stated.
"Alright, fellas. Let me get him." The warden replied. "Just wait for a moment in my office, okay?"
"Okay." Missio nodded.
The warden left the room leaving Missio and Krishna. Krishna shifted into a more serious attitude and locked eyes with his captain.
"What exactly are we interrogating him about?"
Missio didn't respond immediately. Then, after a few second, his lips parted.
"One to know why he committed the financial fraud, second to ask what he was doing 17 years ago and third…"
Missio's brows furrowed.
"To ask where in the Pangea's name he got half a ton of drugs."
Krishna blinked, his serious persona suddenly vanishing.
"Wait, drugs? Where and which one?"
Missio sighed. "The deputy commissioner found it in a hidden storage room when searching Dick's home. Half a ton of marijuana."
Krishna blinked once more. Then, he threw his hands in the air, exclaiming in an annoyance.
"Why is it marijuana every single God damn time?! These guys have no taste whatsoever!"
"Why are you annoyed? Do you want to have some of something?" Missio said, guessing his best friend's intent.
"I mean…" Krishna's tantrum halted as he looked at Missio with a thoughtful expression.
Missio clicked his tongue and heaved a breath. However, as he was about to respond, the door opened.
"My apologies, fellas. Let me lead ya to the prisoner." The Warden said.
"Alright." Missio nodded, spinning around.
Both enforcers followed him. They walked through the corridors of the rehabilitation facility which seemed… oddly empty.
It was because the prisoners were going through rehabilitation except for one.
Missio, Krishna and the Warden halted near the door to the interrogation room. Opening the door, the Warden stepped inside with the two enforcers following right behind him. The room was dim with a table and chairs in the middle.
Across the table sat a square-faced man with dark hair and eyes, wearing casual civilian clothing. He smiled and greeted them.
"Good afternoon, gentlemen. What can I do for you today?"
The Warden ignored him and spun around.
"He's all yours."
Missio nodded as he heard the door slam shut. He took a moment to prepare himself then, he locked eyes with Dick.
"Dick…" Missio whispered as he sat down. "We want to ask you a few things."
"Really? Go ahead."
"First, why did you take such a huge chunk from the National budget 17 years ago?" Missio went straight to the point.
However, the former Assemblyman didn't speak, zipping his mouth shut.
"Come on, Assemblyman. Spill it. What are you gonna even lose?" Krishna spoke in a serious tone, trying to bait Dick out.
Yet, the politician still refused to speak. Realizing he wasn't going to get an answer, Missio asked a different question.
"Where did you get all those drugs?"
"Kharagen." Dick replied almost immediately.
Missio narrowed his eyes, his scarlet pupils gleaming with suspicion.
'You answered rather quickly, Dick… are you trying to lead us into a trap?'
Intertwining his fingers, the Lieutenant General's expression went dark as he asked in a solemn tone.
"Who did you get the marijuana from?"
"A dealer named Sun Daishen."
