The Devil's Debt. Sneak Peek
Lucian was sitting in a leather chair in a room that wasn't on any map. He had on a brand charcoal suit but his right hand was all wrapped up in a thick silk bandage. He looked over at the silver-headed cane that was leaning against the desk. It was broken the silver bird on top was missing one eye.
Somebody spoke up from the corner of the room. "They think they've won do they'nt?" It was a man wearing a torn up King's robe. His face was all pale and grey like ash.
"They did win " Lucian said. He was lighting a cigar with his hand. "They broke the rules. They killed the First Alpha. They even got to stay human."
He blew out a cloud of smoke that went up to the ceiling. There was a picture of a two-headed wolf carved into the stone up there.
"But Elara forgot something " Lucian said quietly. His eyes turned a red color like they were on fire. "You can break the rules. You can even kill the Devil.. The Debt is something that will always follow your family."
He looked at a small glass bottle on his desk. Inside the bottle was one drop of special liquid. It was the blood of the Twin Monarchs. He got it when the big explosion happened.
"Book 2 is not about getting at people " Lucian said to the man in the King's robe. He was smiling,. It was a scary smile. "Book 2 is, about what happens when you inherit something.. I heard that the sisters are going to find out something big. They're going to find out that the 'First Alpha' wasn't the secret their father was keeping in the basement."
