The butterfly flew as it sprinkled golden dust, illuminating the dark night. Even the stars were dimmer compared to it.
To normal eyes, it would appear slow, but it actually flew at an incredible speed. When it left Earth, it moved at its true speed.
If one saw this, they might feel as if it was warping space and time. The golden butterfly soon reached Lucan's hand.
Lucan was roaming the market when it landed. Countless gazes were attracted, and a huge commotion was created. One alien fell down in shock.
It pointed at the butterfly and said, "Impos...sible... he has the legendary... golden butterfly! It is from the creation of an S+ tier creature!"
Lucan frowned, his brows tightly furrowed. He did not want to gather attention right now, so he activated his move.
Time froze. Everything and everyone turned still, as if captured in a photograph. Lucan rapidly went to the meeting place between him and the others.
He went underground and cleared all his traces. He also used another method to erase their memories of the golden butterfly.
Time resumed, but backlash occurred as Lucan expected. Thankfully, he reached a safer place. He became still; now, his time alone was frozen.
He could do nothing but wait until the power faded. After a few hours, the red wrestler arrived along with the leader. They had been given a task by Lucan.
He wanted to check whether they were able to leave the planet. He had this doubt because Lord had taken control now. His doubts were true—Lord had indeed done so.
But because of the backlash, Lord would also be unable to leave the planet.
The red wrestler and the leader saw that Lucan was frozen.
The red wrestler was about to go near to help Lucan, but the leader stopped him. However, he shook him off and went closer.
He was also frozen.
The leader sighed. He already knew this would happen. Lucan had warned him previously not to come closer if he was frozen.
After a few minutes, Lucan was released. He came to know everything.
He decided not to help the red wrestler, to punish him for not following his words. If he saved him now, he would still try to help Lucan, which would affect him.
But if Lucan didn't save him, he would realize his mistake and correct it.
Lucan also came to know that they were unable to leave this planet.
The leader had a solemn expression, while Lucan laughed heartily. He already knew this situation could occur—it was within his expectations.
But something he didn't expect had occurred. Lord came to know about the golden butterfly and its secret.
Before Lucan erased their memories, Lord had already found out.
At the three-sworded place, Lord said, "Oh! So Lucan has this golden butterfly! Hehe! My entertainment never fails to entertain me!"
He sent a message to Lucan:
"Lucan! I will let you and your team leave this planet. You only need to do two things. First, hand over the golden butterfly. Second, die in front of everyone so that I can reclaim my pride.
After that, I will bring you back to life secretly. I promise it on my pride."
Hence, Lord would never go back on his word.
What made Lucan feel strange was that Lord asked him to fight using his full strength whenever he wanted.
This meant Lord believed that, no matter what, Lucan's strength could never match his own.
Lucan thought deeply. Countless ideas swirled in his mind.
The first was to create a fake golden butterfly, but he immediately discarded it.
The second was to ask for help from an external source through the golden butterfly, but he left that too, knowing even worse situations awaited him.
The third idea was more promising—to convert themselves into messages and use the golden butterfly to reach their spaceship.
Lucan accepted this idea.
He made preparations, They needed a fourth person. If any one of them carried out the conversion, they wouldn't be able to include themselves, leaving one of them behind.
The leader called his last subordinate, the most trustworthy one. He agreed to help them.
Lucan was pleased.
The alien converted all three into messages and placed them on the golden butterfly. He set the destination as the spaceship.
They left successfully.
Even though Lord could trap them, the golden butterfly was not bound by him. It was simply too powerful.
It quickly left the planet and moved toward the spaceship.
Lucan was inside. His dad's message was close to him. He read it, and a rare warmth surged through him. His lips curled up slightly, and his eyes widened.
A memory surfaced in his mind—
The day he was leaving Earth.
He had been caught by his dad. For a brief moment, everything had stopped. Lucan thought he would be stopped, questioned… maybe even forced to stay.
But his dad had only looked at him.
Then, silently, he stepped aside.
He let him go.
Lucan's gaze softened for a split second before returning to normal. He didn't reveal what was written in the message, but the meaning was clear to him.
The alien who sent them watched as tears fell from his eyes. He smiled, happy that he helped his leader escape.
But his happiness didn't last long.
Lord appeared behind him.
"Hey you! I can sense traces of the golden butterfly here. Do you know anything about it?"
If it were others, they would panic. But he was the leader's most trustworthy subordinate.
He bowed and replied, "Oh Lord, future ruler of all planets! I sensed a powerful source here as well. Only now I realize it was the golden butterfly. But I haven't seen anything, Lord. I only found this."
He handed over a folded letter.
Lord grabbed it. In space, the only one known to use paper was Lucan.
Lord read it and laughed.
"So! Lucan! You want to train secretly! You even have a trump card to kill me in one move! Wow! But backlash is troubling you! Hahaha!"
"Oh! You agreed to give me the golden butterfly. Good boy! You even left its traces here so I can verify it later!"
Lord threw a bag of precious resources.
"Take it and leave! I will create missions for all of you! Inform the entire planet—and no one must disturb Lucan!"
The alien left.
Lord collected the golden sprinkles.
Lucan and his group reached the spaceship.
The fate guy jumped and hugged Lucan.
"Lucan! You are alive!"
Lucan was stunned. "Eh? What? When did I die?"
He thought, This guy... why is he so obsessed with me? I only need information from him...
He didn't show it.
The pink girl's pupils shrank. The fate guy also felt fear, yet still hugged Lucan tightly.
Lucan's anger rose. He pushed him away.
"Keep some distance! I am a boy!"
He sighed and explained everything.
The pink girl and the fate guy were relieved.
They noticed the leader behind him and felt fear, knowing his strength.
The fate guy asked, "Okay, Lucan, why can't I hug you?"
Lucan was like, What the heck?
The pink girl knocked his head, and the red wrestler punched him.
Both said at the same time, "Because he is a boy!"
The leader silently watched.
The fate guy asked, "I still don't understand! But Lucan, Why does your body look different there? There were two round things and something else—"
The atmosphere froze.
Lucan smacked him.
"Freaking idiot!"
The fate guy fainted.
The pink girl laughed.
Lucan wished he could erase this moment from existence.
