Lucan started to destroy everything in his surroundings. He stopped time; no backlash occurred. He killed every single alien along with Lord.
He escaped smoothly. He laughed as he said, "Hehe! This was way easier than I thought! So they were all too weak, actually!"
He was laughing like a maniac. He saw the end of space; he saw a door which leads him beyond it. His eyes flashed with happiness. He reached his goal.
He touched the doorknob. He was breathing heavily with excitement to know about what is at the end of space and beyond it.
The moment of truth was within his grasp. He opened it. It was all black, but suddenly everything faded out. Lucan was still imprisoned. He said in a weak voice, "What!? How am I still here?"
His consciousness was slowly getting destroyed. The Head spoke, "Lucan! I know what you felt right now! You felt like you destroyed us all and escaped, right!? Hehe! It is because you are going to die now! Your brain will play you some good memories in a while because you are nearing death! Your last hope was thinking about escaping; hence, your brain made you dream about it! Enjoy your final last moments!"
One alien asked him, "How do you know this?" The Head explained, "He is from a species called humans! Ranked at C-tier! I just analyzed him and found out information related to humans!"
While he said that, he had an ashen expression. The other aliens were stunned; they were speechless. A mere C-tier creature caused them this much trouble!
Lucan thought, "So I was dreaming! Hehe! In the end, I still failed! But I have no more regrets left. I at least died while pursuing my goal! What regrets could one have in this scenario! Hehe! My adventures were short, but they were awesome! If I could again be reborn or could reincarnate, I wish I would still pursue this same goal! I wish I will have my memories and experiences!"
He was feeling both happy and sad at the same time. He was happy that he did everything he could; his lips curled up into a faint smile. His eyes showed a deep trace of satisfaction.
He was sad that he failed. This failure cannot be corrected. He did not achieve his goal. His eyes turned red and water filled them. His lips curled down; his face turned pale.
Tears fell down; it was as if a rain drizzle. His hand started to shake. He was heavily breathing. His armor was nearing its end; he would run out of oxygen.
He felt all his past moments: when he left Earth, when he challenged Lord, when he tricked him and fled. Later, he taught emotions to slimes. He and his dad exchanged messages. He infiltrated the planet and rescued the leader from Lord. He remembered Blue Guy's tragic death and the golden butterfly which showed him affection.
He closed his eyes. His lips again curled up. Although he was both happy and sad, he still did not decide to give up until his last breath. His pragmatism overcame his emotions. He wiped off his tears; he started to deduce ways to escape.
Seeing his unwavering determination and Lord's uncontrollable pride, the Head felt fear. He thought, "Why? Why does the evil have such might! Why don't the righteous path members have this might! The evil path was always suppressed by the righteous! But now, even as a righteous path member, I have to accept the bitter truth that our righteous path has never produced such people!"
Lucan felt backlash. His deductions all started to shatter away. His hope was disintegrating into thin fragments, but he still did not give up.
He only had about a few more minutes, but he felt each second was precious to him. Now he understood one Earth philosophy: Time is equal to money. He didn't just understand it; he felt it deep within his heart.
Lord also saw this. He too started to gather his strength. He tried to break free. He was bleeding heavily. He thought, "Hmm! If that 16-year-old kid can do it, why can't I, the LORD, do it? Hehe!"
All the aliens gasped at this scene. One alien sneered, "Hmm! Why resist so hard! All of your paths are blocked! You have no hope! Just give up!"
Lucan was bathed in his own blood. He said in a weak voice, "So what if my paths are blocked! As long as I am alive, hope exists! I will try no matter what! If there is no path, I will create my own path! Hehe!"
Lord replied, "Even at this moment, Lucan, you didn't forget your laugh (hehe!), hahaha! As worthy of being my entertainment!"
The Head and the other aliens couldn't bear to watch this scene. He ordered them to kill them both, not even leaving a trace or portion of them left. Each second they saw him, their morals fell rapidly.
All of them gathered their cosmic energy to release their attack. Bright lights flashed everywhere. Suddenly, danger alarms blew up.
A voice said, "Emergency! Emergency! There is a forcible infiltration of enemies! They started to attack the space station! Count is—" The voice was also destroyed. A dark figure was flying above Lucan, Lord, and these aliens.
He was familiar to both Lord and Lucan. Lucan's eyes turned wide; his laughter echoed throughout. Lord's expression sank deeper; he could not believe his own eyes.
The Head urged, "All of you! Attack him! What are you all waiting for!" Countless attacks landed on him, but his speed was so fast the attacks were like snails competing with a rabbit.
Lord was filled with shock. He staggered, "008! HOW ARE YOU ALIVE!"
Lucan ceased his laughter. He chortled, "Blue Guy! Is it really you!"
The Blue Guy landed down. He snorted, "Yes! But I am the real Blue Guy! I am the one you freed from Lord's control! Let me explain, but now we all await Captain Lucan's order!"
"CAPTAIN LUCAN!" Everybody shifted their gaze towards Lucan. His crew appeared. The leader said, "Captain! Thought we would betray you! Hehe!" The Fate Guy added, "Lucan! Oh no! Sorry, Captain Lucan! Hehe!"
The red wrestler smiled but remained silent. The pink girl rushed forward; she started to heal Lucan. She spoke, "Hmm! Who did this to you, Captain!"
Lucan was confused. The aliens defending outside reported, "We need help! Help! Roger! Head! S+ tier creatures are attacking us!"
Lucan thought about the slimes; they broke in eventually. The leader slime spoke, "Lucan! We meet again! Uh! Wait, oh no! Damn, what emotion should I show now!"
The other slimes were confused, too. The Blue Guy transmitted the information to Lucan in an instant.
During Lucan's test, Blue Guy was killed by Lucan. He was freed from Lord's control; he regained his own self for the first time. He had to heal himself; he needed a lot of time. He spoke a few words to Lucan, then made a clone of himself which replaced him and died. He went to the spaceship secretly, hid, and started to heal himself.
While Lucan let his spaceship escape, he thought everyone would betray him. After all, why would they risk everything just to save him? But they never knew about Lucan being captured itself.
Blue Guy was fully healed. He appeared in the spaceship. It seems due to Lord's control he previously had, he could collect information regarding Lord—and Lord was with Lucan. So, he eventually knew about them being captured. When he told them about it, everybody immediately agreed to save him; it was just that they took a little longer.
Lucan had a doubt. He asked, "But why save me and proclaim me as Captain!"
The Blue Guy explained, "You saved all of us multiple times! We had to repay you! Hehe! But now is the only time we got a chance! Moreover, having you as our Captain is what we all expect. We may betray, but you deserve our loyalty! Because Lucan, just as you said: Loyalty is not given to someone! It has to be earned! Like you! Hehe!"
His crew asked, "Give us our orders, Captain!"
The leader slime figured out what emotion he must use. He smiled with happiness. He said, "Lucan! I think you need to re-teach us! We also owe you much more than you think!"
Lucan was healed completely by the pink girl. She smiled gently. Lucan's grin widened. He said, "Retreat!"
His crew grinned happily. This was the order they had expected!
