Chapter 26 - || CHAPTER 26:Crashing Down Just After Surviving! ||

The crew went silent. Lucan's gaze was still focused on Great Lord. Lord's figure emerged slowly; he was holding a purple crystal in his hands.

It was beautiful. It was smooth to touch but rough in appearance. It was emitting a dim light. Great Lord kept it inside.

Great Lord was not just a change in title or name.

His size increased to twice his previous size. In simple words, he was now the massive size of six whales. He now had two purple eyes, two arms, and two legs.

His skin was smooth, without any marks.

Suddenly, a pole appeared in his left hand. The crystal floated above and attached itself to the pole. A cluster of cosmic energy was emitting around him.

His gaze shifted toward Lucan. He smirked at him. His crew was filled with fear and anxiety. None decided to directly face Lord. Even the slimes did not have such guts.

Lucan moved his spaceship. He continued on the path he had previously determined. He was heading to the lifespan-increasing location.

The blue guy asked, "Is it alright to ignore Great Lord and move ahead?"

Lucan laughed as he replied, "Great Lord! Hehe! Yeah, yeah! He is indeed Great Lord! No worries, he won't attack us."

His crew members sighed in relief, but Lucan continued, "To be precise, he won't attack me!"

Silence suddenly echoed everywhere.

Lucan spoke, "But still, I won't let you die! Hehe! You guys have many benefits for me! How can I let you all die!"

He transmitted a message to the leader slime to go back to their planet. He thanked them for showing up and saving him. They were still wary of Great Lord, who would be within their path.

Lucan recorded a message and gave it to them. He said, "With this message, you will be safe! Here!"

All of them left immediately.

Lucan gave control of the spaceship to the fate guy. He said he was going to find ways to nullify his backlash. He went to a room.

Everybody was exhausted, so each decided to get some rest to regain their strength. Only the fate guy was left in the control area.

Lucan started to deduce ideas, but his cosmic energy was unstable. He was constantly facing backlash, so he stopped his deductions.

He began to think of a solution in his mind.

The golden butterfly flew and sat gently on his head. He felt it but didn't disturb it.

It emitted a golden-yellow light. Lucan felt a change.

He saw himself in a completely white room with nothing around. He felt like he was in a dream. He tried to wake up, but nothing worked.

In front of him, there was an empty paper and a pen.

Lucan approached the paper. He took the pen.

Golden letters started to appear on the paper:

"Lucan! What knowledge do you seek?"

He was stunned. He said, "I want to know how to stabilize my cosmic energy and avoid backlash!"

He was straightforward.

No response came, but the letters transformed:

"Write your question here!"

Lucan took the pen and wrote his question.

A change occurred. Golden-yellow light radiated around him. It was like seeing fireworks at night.

His surroundings kept changing continuously. He couldn't understand anything.

Suddenly, he woke up.

His mind was filled with a thought—he had found the answer!

He looked above his head. Nothing was there.

His gaze shifted past the golden butterfly. It was still lying motionless.

He was perplexed. He knew the golden butterfly had something to do with it, but he couldn't find any trace.

He started to work on the solution.

He used his time-stopping move. Backlash stopped him.

Lucan had prepared one more move. He activated it.

He was released, but the surroundings froze.

This move could reverse anything. It could turn attacks into defense and defense into attacks.

He succeeded in finding a method to control the backlash.

But suddenly, it broke.

Lucan snorted, "This! Every time I find a method to prevent backlash, it keeps on changing!"

He sighed. "It seems I can only wait till I get a crystal."

He named this move "Uno Reverse," because on Earth, he had played this game and found a reverse card.

He noticed a change.

The golden butterfly emitted a dull light. Its wings flapped slowly.

It was as if the butterfly was feeling sad for Lucan's failed attempt.

He examined it, but found nothing strange.

He got another idea.

Days passed. His crew had already returned to the control area, except him.

Everyone was worried.

The blue guy said, "Let me take a look!"

When he approached, Lucan spoke from inside the room, "Don't disturb me now! I will come out on my own!"

Nobody disturbed him.

After a few more days, one day, they suddenly saw ten aliens appear around them.

The whole crew's heart sank.

They were from the space station. News about Lord and Lucan had spread everywhere.

The space station learned that Lucan was weak and still trying to resolve his problem.

They decided this was the right time to finish him off.

His crew started to fight.

Within minutes, all were suppressed. Only the leader was fighting with some ease.

But he too soon couldn't keep up and fell.

The alien leader spoke, "Tell us where that human kid is! At least you all can stay alive!"

No one spoke.

Their loyalty was at its peak.

Even when Lucan was desperate, the alien had forcibly taken a crew member—the weakest one, the pink girl.

Another alien came and searched forcibly.

Lucan's location was found.

Five of them broke in and entered inside.

Lucan screamed in fear.

The other five aliens laughed heartily.

His crew members felt dejected.

The remaining five also went in.

For a split second, loud splashes could be heard.

His crew had gloomy expressions. The pink girl cried a lot, since she was the main reason Lucan was found. Others tried to pacify her.

They felt Lucan had died.

His blood had splashed everywhere.

But a figure walked out.

He was covered in blood—but it wasn't red.

It was alien blood, mixed in different colors.

It was Lucan.

He sighed, "Damn! Now I have to bathe again!"

He waved his hands.

His crew members were relieved. Some even ran and hugged him.

But the fate guy squeezed Lucan hard.

In the next moment, he fell down.

Lucan was on the other side. He said, "You are still a freaky idiot!"

The blue guy asked, "Captain! What scheme did you do now?"

Lucan sighed, "Hehe! You understand me way better. My scheme was this:"

He had been using his time-stopping move again and again all this time.

He eventually gained stability over his cosmic energy.

He faced no backlash—only while using this move—because he had used it countless times.

Now he was working on increasing its range.

His range was still small.

He sensed the attack.

He let five of them come in.

They were frozen because they entered his range.

He screamed to lure the other five.

They too fell into his trap.

He killed them all and released time.

That's why, in that split second, they heard the splashing sound.

While he was still speaking, behind him, golden-yellow light sparkled.

The golden butterfly flew rapidly and sat on his shoulder.

It nuzzled him.

Lucan started to laugh—not his usual one—because of the tickling.

He said, "Crew! Help me! Take this butterfly off me!"

His crew wanted to enjoy, so they ignored him.

Lucan said, "Alright! Alright! Leave me, please!"

The fate guy said, "I will follow your order, Lucan!"

Lucan snorted.

But the fate guy finished, "But I will replace the butterfly and tickle you!"

He jumped.

Lucan's pupils shrank to needle size. He retreated.

He thought, "Damn! They are making a cold person like me into a joker! Ugh! I can adjust that! But this guy!"

He saw the fate guy running toward him.

He fell into a corner.

The fate guy blocked him.

His crew watched while eating popcorn. Lucan had previously shared this concept from Earth.

Lucan gritted his teeth.

He stopped time and escaped.

He had little cosmic energy left. He could no longer stop time.

Suddenly—a huge crash.

The spaceship collided.

Warning signals echoed.

All of them were injured.

The spaceship flipped upside down.

Everyone's gaze pierced toward the fate guy.

They crashed because he left control.

Now they had fallen into a star.

It was burning hot.

Only because of the spaceship were they still alive.
