The words still echoed in her mind.
A council…
Lira walked away from Alpha Varik's territory without looking back.
But her silence was heavier than before.
Beside her, Ronan kept glancing at her.
"You're quiet," he finally said.
Lira didn't respond immediately.
Only the wind did swirling softly around her like it was waiting for orders.
Finally, she spoke.
"They didn't just kill me," she said.
"They organized it."
Ronan frowned. "A council doesn't just do something like that for no reason."
Lira's eyes darkened.
"They feared me."
A pause.
"Or what I was becoming."
The group continued walking, but the atmosphere had changed.
Heavier.
Slower.
Like the world itself was listening.
Far away, in a hidden chamber beneath stone mountains, torches burned without flame.
A long circular table stood in the center.
And seated around it
Were the most powerful Alphas of the realms.
The Alpha Council.
One of them tapped his fingers slowly.
"Reports confirm it," he said.
"She has awakened."
Another scoffed.
"That's impossible. We ended her cycle."
A deeper voice responded from the shadows.
"You didn't end anything."
Silence fell instantly.
From the highest seat, a man finally spoke.
Cold.
Controlled.
Final.
High Alpha Darius.
"She was never meant to stay gone," he said.
"But she was meant to stay weak."
A murmur ran through the council.
One Alpha leaned forward.
"Then why is she walking freely?"
Darius's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Because someone failed."
All eyes shifted.
Not accusing each other openly
But understanding.
Someone had made a mistake.
And now she was back.
Back with Lira…
They reached a high cliff overlooking distant territories.
Ronan stopped.
"This is far enough," he said.
Lira looked out at the horizon.
"It's not far enough," she replied.
A faint glow flickered in her eyes.
"They're already watching me."
Ronan frowned. "Who?"
Lira's voice lowered.
"The Council."
The wind shifted sharply at her words.
As if confirming it.
Inside the council chamber…
High Alpha Darius slowly stood.
"She is moving toward awareness," he said.
"And when she remembers everything…"
A pause.
"…we lose control completely."
Another Alpha stood quickly.
"Then we eliminate her again."
Darius turned slightly.
"You think it will be that simple?"
Silence.
No one answered.
Because they knew.
It wouldn't be.
Not this time.
Back on the cliff…
Lira clenched her hand slowly.
A faint pulse of power rippled outward.
"I feel them," she said quietly.
Ronan looked around. "Feel who?"
Lira's eyes sharpened.
"Not just watching."
A pause.
"They're reacting."
The air trembled slightly.
Far away, unseen forces stirred.
The council's attention had fully locked onto her.
And she could feel it now
Like pressure on her soul.
But instead of fear…
Her expression softened into something colder.
Calmer.
Dangerous.
"Good," she whispered.
"Let them look."
Ronan stepped closer. "Lira… what are you planning?"
She turned slightly.
For the first time
There was no confusion in her eyes.
Only certainty.
"I'm not hiding anymore," she said.
A pause.
"Now they come to me."
The wind exploded outward around her.
Not chaotic.
Not uncontrolled.
But declared.
A message to every Alpha… every council member… every hidden force.
The Moon Goddess had awakened fully.
And she was done running.
Back in the council chamber…
High Alpha Darius closed his eyes briefly.
Then opened them again.
"Prepare everything," he ordered.
"This time…"
His voice dropped.
"…we end her properly."
