Kar finally gathered 20 young men and 10 young women and presented them to Niles saying
" My lord, these were the people who helped build the houses in the village."
" They have the best building experience among everyone in the village"
Niles looked at them thinking about the so called houses that Kar claimed these guys built
' I mean they aren't bad to live in with this situation but .'
' If this was modern times no wrecking ball, machinery or even a sledge hammer would be needed to knock them down just a normal hammer would do.'
' But in all at least they did something that allowed many villagers to survive their current crisis.'
Niles finally was out of his thought and replied
" Well we need to start planning out the plotting out the land and how the materials will be used"
" But first we need the right tools to construct the house materials or we'll have to use completely wooden materials which is not a good idea if you don't want them to catch on fire during dry seasons or fire type wild magic beasts."
' In all honesty wood is easy to do and was wildly used in the past eras on my palnet before concrete and steel, but you can never know what might happen especially in a world where things can literally breathe fire and kill you'
Niles then grabbed and threw out fifty of the storage cubes from his pocket and threw them out which contained barrels of water, limestone, marl, clay, loads of sand and some sap from those trees.
Niles also laid out some wooden buckets, stone shovels, screeds and 3 wheel burrows which were easy to make but not really long lasting as it was made of wood.
Everyone was still impressed with the items Niles brought out in the wooden barrels seeing them though they had the, I don't understand face on how they were going to use these to help build houses.
While they had confused looks Niles was happy as he remembered he automatically picked up items and if it weren't for this he wouldn't have so much materials except for the sap he harvested from a yellow colored tree that was sticky on the outside.
Niles was extremely lucky after simulating the properties of the materials going to be used in the making of the cement, with it being water resistant, heat resistant, a great bonding agent and helps keep normal temperatures.
Honestly this place was truly a forest of death , but the boumtiful resources it has due to it being classified as unlivable makes up for it which is another advantage to staying here.
" Ok guys first we need to make 4 large buildings,2 kilns specialized for wood , 2 Furnaces and 12 large concrete brick molds"
They looked at me in surprise about the large furnace but it's all in my calculation all because of this sap which came from the trees which is now dubbed the Gold River Tree can be used as a replacement for now until the future.
Because it's a great bonding agent it speeds up the process of solidification of materials which means if done we can get the materials to build all of them in two days based on my simulation when the sap reacts with certain materials.
Niles taught them to make cement, concrete and the polymer like clay moles which we had finished setting in just a few hours .
Seeing everyone sweating in the sun hard at work, others that had nothing to do noticed as well and started to assist with either helping transporting cement, mixing them making clay molds and even the kids joined wanting to help causing the atmosphere around the site to feel full of joy of one community.
Even Niles felt like this was the first time he was having fun and being a part of something genuine had made him forget aboutsome of his past traumas .
With all the help received the initial 9 hours of work that was needed to be done got cut down by 3.5 hours after all they needed breaks too obviously or they'd work themselves to an earlier grave.
They just needed to wait until two days until the concrete was set and ready to be removed to repeat again.
Two days later the 30 people which I found out most of the names for the ones leading them which were Adan a 28 man with green spiky hair and muscular physique, Fane which was 25 with brown droopy hair and had a swimmers body, Nium which is 30 great red hair and looked like a persons who lifted weights and the girls group which were Oyue a 26 year old woman which had long dirty blond hair and great body many women would envy and finally Kisa a 27 year old woman with short brown hair and a lean womens body builder build.
'Don't ask him how he knows as when was going to ask their age they glared at me, they gave me the look that told me one thing, turn around and walk away.
Niles only had one thing one his mind at that time when he had dared asked this question which was that it's true even in a different worlds even a god must not dare ask a woman's age lest you have a womans ire and fury.
" Okay guys this is the plan for the Kilns first as they will take a quicker time to complete than the furnace"
" As I'm sure you've seen the molds we made two days ago these will be used to bake concrete blocks"
" They are not only more sturdy and safe but combined with a wooden structure will last a long time"
" So let's do this "
They got excited by the things Niles said and shouted together
" Yeah!"
After that everyone made the foundation using the concrete blocks and cement. This was done quickly and used the screeds to smooth out the cement mixture to leave no gaps and it bonded excellently together.
The design was exactly as was planned with it optimized to shorten the two days of drying to just a mere few hours for the concrete blocks.
They created a compartment to light the fire, there were slots in the walls to hold the molds live trays but this was for the concrete kilns.
It was not like those traditional old time kilns because Nile used shaved logs as wooden rollers under the kiln doors as part of the design as well as a locking and tightening method and vent to let some heat to not damage the inside.
This was the best Niles could do with the materials at hand.
Then wood kilns were next which were much quicker to make so that they had time to complete the two large furnaces.
The completion of these took three days as some were confused with the layout even with the rest of the village's help and lumber workers' help.
But finally after 5 days of hard work we completed it all that was left is for them to set.
This had caused a fire to be lit in their souls as they felt that they were changing and the village chief Kar made us have a feast by asking for my permission but was told not to overdo it because resources were still limited at this stage.
Blood wolf soup, Barbeque and some vegetables although to others it may seem bland but to us this was a meal fit for a king and everyone joined in laughing while having a merry time discussing with each other Niles even overheard some people telling them what they did with a proud look on their faces like theygot highest in their class tests.
While this was happening Niles was eating and contemplating on what he felt today as when he was building and making all these tools of thinking up these it was like some kind of unexplained happiness in doing these things. It was as if there was an itch to continue going onward to complete this and even ideas sprouted out of no where to hasten the project so he asked Nuera to explain what he felt.
' Nuera can you explain why I felt happier than normal when I was doing these things, It felt like it was something I was made to do especially I didn't feel all that tired nowadays than before'
( This could be because of you Divinties host as they can influence your personality and make you feel what you would call a runners high like those triathalons you had back on your planet) Nuera explained in the same tone as usual
' My personality, is this bad, will this change me, is it dangerous?' Niles was confused and somewhat apprehensive hoping that this wouldn't change him to a different personality altogehter
' can you explain some more in detail Nuera' Niles pleaded a bit due to the fright of this change as if he was under hynosis.
