The Morning James picked Lucian and Charlotte up from their house driving them to work "it feels weird being drove around by our boss" Charolette said mockingly
"got to keep up the act" James said indifferently
James let out a sigh before saying "Lucian I'm sorry if I have given you the bad impression. what I meant was. as good as you have on top. I don't want you to worry about the future, so I do want you to think about when you want to retire but not anytime soon. I just don't want you to over work yourself and enjoy life"
James looked in the rearview mirror seeing Lucian's eyes were red brimmed "James you are truly something else" Lucian spoke trying to keep himself together
"James look at you being all mushy this morning" charlotte went back to teasing him.
"ahem, anyway graduation is next week" Lucian interrupted "have you both thought about what you are going to do after graduating?"
charlotte smiled "yes, I want to take throw a party for all my friends since most of them are going abroad. then after that I don't know."
"After graduation finishes, I want to sit down with the finance department and work out the best optimal way of making profits for everyone in the company and slowly make more sub-companies if we have the capital for it"
"that's not after grad plans, even now you still thinking about work. what are we going to do with you" Charlotte snickered
"Charlotte is right, take some time off and relax. You two go to school and when not at school you are working. take time off and relax" Lucian huffed
James smiled after having a glimpse of what it like to have someone who cares about his well-being.
Arriving at the company James opened up the car door for the father and daughter, James parked the car in the underground car park before heading into a vacant office drawing up a rough plan. hours slipped by in a blink of an eye, lifting his head to stretch his neck seeing Charlotte sitting in front of him tapping away on a tablet "how long have you been sitting there?"
"You really do zone out don't you? anyway, I spoke with dad this is going to be your office starting today since you like to be lowkey and all" charlotte lifted her head and lowering the tablet "so whatcha working on?"
James cleared his throat before speaking "I did a rough draft of a plan just trying to sort out the details" standing up and moving aside signalling Charlotte to have a look. she walked around the table and seat in James's seat, scrolling diligently through the documents trying not to miss anything.
her eyes widened "you never cease to surprise me, you want to convert the majority of your funds into an LLC then use that to fund for steady income such as estates or renting to make back what you spent, and the income that comes from that goes back into the LLC for projects?"
"Mhm"
Charolette pulled out her tablet and scrolled through to the Finance report for this quarter "if i may what if we use the profits that you received this quarter and go to a bank for someone to invest the into deviants that way you can get a foot into other companies using the LLC collecting the funds while finding an places for sale for your extra income?"
"Because need a steady income first so don't lose much doing that, unless we look at smaller businesses and work out a contract best for them and we earn while they earn as they grow" James spoke excitedly
"But why don't you put it through the company, so you don't spend any of your own money?" Charlotte couldn't help but ask.
"let's say someone sabotages us, the company loses profits and so forth, if we have something that no one knows about wouldn't that be the ultimate lifeline for us?"
"But aren't you already the company's lifeline as is?" asking curiously
James sat on the corner of the office table "the problem with that is it can easily be traced back to me if I'm not careful, therefore if my money gets cut off how can I fall back onto it in tough spots? so making a legit paper trail that leads nowhere and having a safety net for not only me but the company it will be easier"
hearing everything that James was talking about, charlotte got out of the chair letting James sit back down in his spot and began calling someone she knew. beginning to help set up an LLC spending the rest of the day executing the plan, as fast as they could. it was the first time Charlotte did something like this without asking Lucian for advice. by time she finished setting it up for James she felt a sense of accomplishment with-in herself.
the office door opened and Lucian walked straight in seeing both of them hard at work "it's time to go its closing time" saying with a smile on his face, seeing both of them working away smoothly in a medium size office room. starting to realize why Charlotte was insisted on having James around prior.
getting back to Lucians and Charlottes estate, Lucian invited James in to have dinner with them without leaving room for refusing. as they walked in dinner was ready and Charlotte's mum was helping Lucian take his coat off, it was the first time that they all sat down for a meal together. spending the time not talking about work as they enjoyed the meal. after the meal was finished James helped clear the table, charlotte's mum tried getting him to stop because the maids do it.
"With all due respect Ma'am i came empty ended so please let me do this as my thank you for the meal" James said with a warm smile.
the three of them remained at the table while James helped with the dishes "what in interesting man you both brought for dinner" she said quietly
"actaully he is charlottes friend from school, that kind of turned out to be the chairman" Lucian said quietly.
her face dropped in shock "you mean you are letting the chairman clean dishes?" her face went pale
