Kris Cooper staggered back two steps from her shove, his body swaying.
Concerned, she rushed to support him, but the man had already straightened up, looking at her with a cold expression.
"Don't forget, we're still married. You have this obligation!"
"You're drunk!"
Vera Wave tugged at her clothes and turned to leave.
Kris Cooper stormed over, grabbed her arm, and began to pull her towards the hallway.
"Kris!" Vera frowned, wincing as his grip tightened. "Where are you taking me?"
"Home!"
The man dragged her onwards without looking back.
Home?! Vera was startled and hurriedly halted.
"I... I'm not going back!"
Kris Cooper didn't respond. He just tightened his grip and continued to pull her forward. When she dragged her feet, refusing to budge, he turned around and hoisted her onto his shoulder.
Vera was startled. Feeling his shoulder digging into her abdomen, she immediately began to struggle with all her might.
"Kris, put me down! Kris... calm down... Put me down now!"
