The memory slowly faded as I returned to the present.
"I remember it clearly," I said softly. "That was the first day we met."
Aaron smiled at the memory.
"You looked so beautiful that day," he said. "I could barely take my eyes off you."
I rolled my eyes at him.
"You are exaggerating," I said.
Aaron let out a quiet laugh and leaned his elbows on the balcony railing.
"I am not exaggerating," he said calmly. "You were standing there holding a cup of coffee and complaining about our supervisor as if he had personally ruined your life."
I could not stop a small smile from forming on my lips as the memory replayed in my head.
"I remember you laughing at me," I said.
Aaron nodded.
"That was because you were so serious about it," he replied.
