The event was bright and lively with the schoolmates and spectators shouting and cheering for the fifth year students. Explosions and clashes in the field as both teams tried their best to dominate the match. Meanwhile, group A in the red team was in awe towards Sylvie's voice and performance.
"Damn! Is she an idol in disguise or just good at performing?!" The whole group thought to themselves in unison along with Hinata and Erika having more respect over to her even if it wasn't related to her god-tier prowess status.
Minutes earlier…
Sylvie sighed after putting on the uniform as she tested the microphone that was connected to the defense of the flag. There was a device attached on the mic which she assumed to be the level to keep the defense active for the flag.
She sang for a demo to see the score as it immediately shot up to a hundred in which impressed the girls while Erika and Hinata sweatdropped.
"So that's why she looked stressful and worried…" the duo thought to themselves, their pride a bit shaken by Sylvie's voice but used that as an inspiration to be the better version of themselves despite the magenta haired girl's level.
"Does that wrap up our preparation?" One of group A members asked while the rest just simultaneously agreed since Sylvie was more appropriate with it.
...…
Currently, Hinata and Erika were teaming to protect themselves from the blue teams invaders although they were immediately saved by Sylvie who was roaming around with the mic, singing perfectly and dancing in rhythm to which they envied.
"Is this an idol show or what?" Hinata thought to herself before focusing on her own performance as she at least hummed and sang some parts as a background echoing which was at least decent for the required level to keep the flag's defense active.
It was pretty impressive to watch Sylvie both singing and defending at such a state, as if watching an idol do their best to perform except this one was to defend while motivating the entire red team.
"Catch me if you can ~" Sylvie sang playfully as she swiftly evaded the attempts of the invaders attacks while either moving a lot or kicking them as hard as possible which infuriated Haru since the blue team was barely advancing with Rei's overwhelming guidance and planning in which he underestimated.
The magenta haired girl enjoyed performing as she watched Rei fight to the rhythm of her performance. Each beat, lyric and flow was followed perfectly by him which impressed the spectators as the two stole the spotlight due to their perfect coordination with Rei playing as both offense, support and defense while switching prowess in his copied arsenal then Sylvie adding the support and defense with her quick and powerful prowess.
There was no doubt that this was the winning team all due to Rei's planning for the group B's formation with pressuring the overall control of suppressing the invaders of the red team's group B formation while Sylvie's coordination of the performance in group A held very strong due to her and a couple of her teammates who could defend very well despite of their weak prowess.
"Haruki. Get to the plan. I'll take care of the rest. Just make sure our team and group are able to last alright!" Rei said while Haruki didn't argue as he immediately went to help the rest and stick to the plan.
Rei immediately went all out as he used Erika and Hinata's prowess to combine the two prowess which formed an ice manipulation in order to freeze a couple of the opponents while using a spiky vine to incapacitate those who dared to get too close to the perimeter or to him.
A burst of black flames almost hit him as Rei smiled crazily before returning back the same flames after letting go of the spiky vine in his area as he copied Haru's black flames. "Can't wait? Well, here's what you want!" He shouted before the black flames he shot out at Haru, which was four times more powerful than the original one.
Rei's action infuriated Haru even more since his team was barely able to push the red team's defense. Caught off guard by the webs laid on the floor which was the reason why they were defending really hard. Making the whole blue team think that they were just pushing them away desperately.
"Fuck this!" Haru shouted before he screamed angrily at his entire team to go on a full assault, putting every manpower to push Rei's defense while he alone would do the defense along with blue team's group A.
This action surprised the crowd since they were expecting for Rei to put his group in a tight defense but were surprised when the entire red team group B did the same. Ignoring them as they pass by each other which only leaves the mimicry user alone.
"Is he stupid?" One of the spectators asked before being surprised when the copycat was defending fairly by encasing a large amount of blue team's group B with what seemed to be an ice manipulation type prowess since they barely saw how the wind and water prowess fused together when Rei executed his attack.
"Ice Manipulation?"
"Did he copy Eunji before entering?!"
"Isn't that cheating?!"
Each of the crowd were growing strong until an announcement spoke out.
"Cheating? Isn't that what our duty is? We lie to keep people calm without worrying about minor or major things during our expenditure or investigation." A grumpy voice said before continuing on, "Don't forget. We are sorcerers that deal with deaths, tragedy and horrible things so that's why we use everything in our cards to make our decision worth. If you're a sorcerer with this mindset of not cheating then you should retire cause you are a damn rxtard with that thinking of yours."
Harsh criticism but was the truth since sorcerers and sorceresses have to deal with scenarios that were beyond unsalvageable and traumatising. Every year, there would be at least 10 to 25 sorcerers who would resign after being traumatized by their first or second mission, especially those who are assigned in the front lines.
...…
Sylvie was having a blast with singing and defending the flag especially with Rei's help since the latter was more versatile and had more recovery than her. It's true that she's stronger than him but when it comes to fights that last long, Rei would be the better competitor since his mimicry could just copy a healing prowess to boost and recover himself immediately except for spiritual energy unless he copies another one to add more recovery stats in his arsenal.
Her time manipulation drains a lot of spiritual energy which was the reason Sylvie prefers to end the fight as quickly as possible. Her physical combat is barely average since she focused refining her prowess to boost her power stats which is why she trained with Rei to help refine her hand-to-hand combat style.
"Is that all you got darling? Too bad ~ Can't touch this ~" Sylvie playfully sang and mocked the opponents which caused them to try their best to capture her which resulted with Rei knocking them out almost instantly with ice crystal shaped blunt bullets that wasn't harmful nor life threatening but enough to put them out of their consciousness.
"Since both teams haven't advanced nor captured the flag! The countdown begins now!!!" Eto shouted in which intensified the atmosphere as a timer started going down for thirty minutes.
This outcome made Rei grinned as he signalled for Haruki to retreat while he handled the rest which confused everyone for the red team's formation from defense, full assault the immediately to full defense.
"I'll take care of the rest!!!" Rei exclaimed, which confused the entire red team since they had no clue if this formation would be suitable for the win.
