Rei's plan was going great especially when the final countdown had thrown the finishing plan but this is what he was great at. Adapting and thinking immediately in the spot as the arsenal he had was Haru's black flames, Hinata's wind control, Erika's water manipulation and lastly, Haruki's prowess which was a trump card for him to reveal later if needed.
His remaining time was running thin as Rei immediately went all alone, avoiding each attempt of the blue team's group B members to catch him although failed with Hinata's speed and his own prowess speed stats boosting him to be at least faster than any attempts that could be his downfall.
He immediately formed a glacier to trap another batch of the opponents group as he was getting closer to Haru and the remaining last line of the flag's defense.
"As if I'm letting you go easy!" Haru exclaimed as he surrounded the flag with black flames while forming a fistful of flame claws to strike Rei who in response just evaded and returned a glacier spear out of the floor which grazed Haru's side for a bit.
"Bastard…" the white haire male groaned as he tried to retort back with a powerful blast of black flames except his own flames was devoured by Rei's white flames. "What?!"
Rei smirked as he unleashed Haruki's copied prowess to neutralise Haru's black flames. "What? Thought I'm that easy to fall? Too bad! I'm stubborn to lose?" He exclaimed before grabbing the objective after exchanging wind control with the same spiky vines to lasso the flag and using his white flames to push blue team's group A asides to depower the defense.
"Thanks for the gift!"
His mocking tone infuriated the black flame used as he tried to stop Rei from escaping except the white flames surrounded his body to neutralise Haru's attempt. Every opponent avoided him since they had nothing to take on the flames since it was hotter than Haru's black flames.
"You idiots! Get them!" Haru screamed as the entire group got up from their feet while helping their encased teammates to get out of the glacier that trapped them before rushing to try reaching Rei.

"Would you look at that! Rei Nishimura has captured blue team's flag! All he needs to do now is to get back to his base but would he be able to reach first before the countdown ends nor the opposite team's attempt to capture him?" Eto said into her mic which made the crowd who were spectating the match scream in excitement and anticipation of how it would end.
Each attempt of the blue team went to waste with Rei's swift evasion with his acrobatics which impressed the crowds as the countdown started its final countdown.
"Thirty seconds left!"
What seemed to be a losing view of why Rei threw the flag towards the base as it became the winning condition. Sylvie had stopped her performance and swiftly took it before using her prowess to freeze time to secure the victory as she returned back to the base where their flag and the enemy's flag while their defense were up again when she started singing again.
"Thank you! Let's turn up the volume!" Sylvie sang in a teasing and mocking tone towards the opponent.
The match went intense as both teams did their absolute best to win with the red team pushing every ounce of energy they had to defend the entire thing while the blue team desperately trying to go past the defenses of the red team.
It was a total chaos since Rei had purposely stayed to fend off Haru who was extremely pissed off from how his team was about to lose. "Move out of the way you damn copycat!" He shouted as he blasted a wave of black flames in which Rei countered with a wall of white flames.
"No, thank you! You absolute man-child!" Rei mocked Haru as he sent out a huge amount of fireball towards him in which the white haired male had to fall back since his black flames wouldn't be able to overwhelm it.
The entire crowd were in total suspense as the last 10 seconds were running down the countdown to end the match.
"10!"
Rei parried Haru's strike while also blasting white flames to throw the guy off guard.
"9!"
Hinata and Erika joining forces to combine their attacks which almost formed an glacier spikes to defend themselves against the invaders who managed to get into their defense.
"8!"
Haruki joining Hinata to form a powerful wave of explosion from both his white flames and Hinata's wind which managed to knock anyone who was airborne that tried to overwhelm them.
"7!"
Sylvie swiftly singing and striking the opponents in one shot by using her time manipulation whenever possible while relying on Rei's white flames to defend her.
"6!"
Rei used ice manipulation to push Haru out of his team's defense while he re-engaged again but coating his palm with white flames to hit him.
"5!"
Haruki used his flames to push anyone who was trying to force themselves into to the perimeter of their formation.
"4!"
A chaos between the team started crawling without using their prowess by beating the life out of each other, desperate to win the match.
"3!"
Rei and Haru were in standout with the copycat holding the black flame user's arm, forcing themselves to stand in a stalemate while both were using their prowess to dominate each other.
"2!"
Haru's black flame being devoured by Rei's white flames as the white haired male looked frustrated as the countdown reached its end.
"1!"
A loud siren of ringing indicated the end of the match, most of the spectators stood up of their seats before they started to cheer at the spectacular perfomance of the victory of the winning team.
Haru looked devastated and angry as he depowered down which Rei did the same although he was looking down at him since he proved himself to be able to dominate him no matter the odds were.

Headmaster Sho was relieved to see the results with the two new students winning the match just like what he expected while Eto was listing the blue team on their own match on who are able to join to the next event.
It was fun to see the students having a great experience of the sports event, especially with the winning team since some of the red team members were always defeated in the first match before they could even have the chance to advance.
"Looks like their spirits are back again." Sho thought to himself, happy to see the once frown and depressed expression of those certain fifth year students in the red team who couldn't even advance to the second match.
"Thank you for bringing them to victory. Young Rei. Young Sylvie."

The red team formed a circle around Rei and Sylvie, chanting and cheering the two main carries of the team. The two feeling a bit overwhelmed with their constant praises and continuous comments such as being the two power couple of the entire match. Despite of the two's insistance of just being best friends, the entire team ignored it and pretended that they were a couple.
"Jeez… They'll never let this go, aren't they?" Sylvie uttered defeatedly while Rei followed, "They probably won't…"
The two pair sat down at the spectator side of where they could watch the match while they rest since the blue team had some sort of preliminary match selection to finalised who will be able to advance for the next event.
"You reckon that the next event would be a one on one fight or team fight?" Rei asked since he had only watched a couple of videos before the sports event with what Sylvie had shared him with.
"Probably one on one fight since it shows how is students would perform when faced against someone we know of while also observing the pros and cons of the fight for their skill set and level."
The magenta haired girl's answer made sense to him since he himself had a lot of cons when fighting someone who could have a high power or defense stats in their base form due to the passive ability of their prowess. Although, the only people he knows who could have them were Haru, Erika and Sylvie since the rest were barely a mid-tier and low-tier at best.
"I guess we'll just see and find out…"
