The three boys laughed collectively.
" He sounds stupid,"
" well how about you come with us,"
" Come? Oh no I'm waiting here,"
" how about you give us one of those crates?"
" I can't do that," Zaril'n answered standing up.
"You won't, but we will," a boy smirked and immediately one of the boys were in the cart lifting off a crate.
Zaril'n called out for them to stop, but the children laughed as they ran away, two of them carried a crate. As Zaril'n ran to chase them he tripped over a rock that appeared from nowhere. He fell face down, the children laughed at the boy and their victory.
But then suddenly they were captured within a water bubble, they were all stunned. They were now disappointed as they knew who it was. The water bubble lifted off the ground at a few feet and traveled backwards. No longer than a minute they stopped moving and the water bubble popped soaking them as it did.
The three boys were now before an unpleasant looking Xavier.
" Still at it I see," Xavier said his arm crossed.
None of the boys said anything, the could only silently fume.
"Now get lost," Xavier instructed seriously.
The boys stood up and ran away in disappointment and anger.
" Let's go," Xavier said calling Zaril'n. He was impressed with the display of Xavier's abilities.
Zaril'n was amazed at how Xavier used his abilities, he created a sphere of water and captured his enemies with such ease. Before Zaril'n could think further Xavier called him over as he was ready to leave again. Xavier untied the horse and rode to a different side of the town.
The entire time Xavier tried to figure out why Zaril'n didn't help himself, he was certain the boy had the capabilities to, so why did he allow himself to be defeated.
After about two hours they started their return in journey back in silence just like before. Zaril'n sat comfortably while Xavier kept glancing in every direction.
In a sudden, but expected moment of event something sharp from underneath the cart dug up destroying the cart. In one swift movement Xavier pulled his sword slicing the reigns on the horse setting the horse free from danger, and at the same time he dodged the attack and dragged Zaril'n by the collar.
" Wah?!" Zaril'n yelped finding everything sudden.
Zaril'n was now looking up, everything was so sudden, the carts was destroyed and the horse was running away. He didn't understand what just happened.
" Well, well, well. Fast as ever now aren't we church boy," a voice chuckle as they clapped their hands.
Xavier didn't speak, he stood ready as he continuously checked his blind spots. This was an ambush, it wasn't too surprising getting attack while coming from selling goods or getting attack while traveling to sell them, this was a norm.
" So that a new one I guess," a boy tilting his head while pointing at Zaril'n.
" That has nothing to do with you," Xavier spat.
Looking at the figures Zaril'n noticed four humans, two girls and two boys. They all seemed similar age to Xavier, but they did look a bit older. There clothes were loose as it wrapped around them.
" Now let's act formal first Xavier, hand over the money," the young boy states, he looked to be in his early twenties, he wore a single glove, stretched out shirt and brown pants, he had a cloth that was wrapped around his waist, he also had short blonde hair.
Zaril'n didn't understand what was going on, they appeared as if they wanted to fight, but why?
Xavier ignored the boy before him and didn't answer, he kept his guard up checking his surroundings and being focused.
" Stubborn as usual," the boy said, he then waved his gloved hand while speaking some words.
In an instant a sharp rock pierced up from beneath them, Xavier was fast enough to react dragging Zaril'n by the collar again and moved them both from out of the way.
The attacks didn't let up as before he could land multiple swords were heading for him. Xavier kicked Zaril'n out of the way straight to the ground which he crashed into. And on the other hand Xavier displayed great talent with his sword as he evaded over fifty blades.
There was no time to rest as a ball of fire was heading his direction. Using his Devine gift Xavier created a barrier that dosed the flames easily.
" Good as usual church boy!" the blonde boy praised clapping his hands.
" Wind blades!" a female voice shouted.
Xavier spun on his heels a ball of water surrounding him.
" Earth's Pit!"
The ground that Xavier stood opened up revealing a large ravine that was more than ready to swallow him.
" Shit," Xavier cursed.
He released the ball of water around him and that's exactly what his enemies wanted. At that moment sharp and visible wind was heading his direction, balls of fire and three hands made from stone rising from the earth to grab him.
Xavier saw the attacks coming, and he knew what needed to be done.
" May a god give me strength, strengthen my body and a given gift, hear mines voice and accept mines praise of my words," Xavier murmured.
In that instance his eyes dimmed brighter, and in a second Xavier turned his sword in a full 360 degrees and a water tornado pulling in and destroying all the other attacks.
" Rock wall!" the blonde boy chant and a thick wall about six feet rose up behind him.
The boy hid behind it and hoped he wouldn't get pulled in. "Damn it church boy," the blonde boy cursed, but at the same time he was pleased and unsatisfied.
The other three members got drawn in and was blown away, two of them got sucked in as they tried holding onto the grass.
The other one got blown away, and the blonde boy was hiding behind rock wall.
Zaril'n was dumbfounded seeing the power display before him and as Xavier power exploded he got blown away his back slamming into a tree trunk.
Xavier caused a powerful gush of wind dragging trees from their roots and scattering the natural earth's terrain, the water twister went straight up while destroying it's standing surface.
In about two minutes the twister fanned outwards disappearing at the same time, only droplets rained down patting the remaining leaves and grass.
