Lavenia's POV
ARGH!
The man who had just fired a bullet at the window was groaning in pain. Rayden was there, pinning him down until he lost consciousness.
Rayden just tapped the glass a few times before disappearing again. Like a code for me.
Though I didn't understand the signal, I decided to close the curtains and curl up in the corner of the room, covering my ears.
The sound of gunfire was still loud outside. However, after a while, the sound faded away, leaving only Rayden's shouts to his men.
"Tighten security! Don't let them get back in!"
"Yes, Alpha!"
Not long after, I heard two knocks on the window, but I ignored them. Then two more on the door after I'd ignored it for a moment.
I stood up, raised the gun in my hand, and as the door swung open, I pointed the weapon at the head of the person standing there.
He raised both hands with a characteristic dark smirk on his face.
