Chapter 31 - The Kings Expansion

THE MONKEY KINGS EXPANISON

As the Monkey King expanded to a colossal size, his body towering over the battlefield like a living catastrophe, even the most seasoned shinobi felt the weight of his presence crush their resolve.

Shukumei's eyes widened slightly one of the rare moments where his composure faltered. The sheer magnitude of the Monkey King's aura was suffocating, pressing down on everything like an unrelenting force of nature.

Not far behind him, Fugami stood frozen, his sensory abilities overwhelmed by the surge of power.

POWER BEYOND COMPREHENSION

"How are we supposed to fight him at this size?" Fugami muttered, his voice tight with disbelief. "His power… it's insane."

Yamata, however, remained still, his sharp gaze fixed upward. A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

CALM IN FACE OF DESTRUCTION

"Oh my," he said dryly, "his power is quite interesting, don't you think, Shukumei?"

Shukumei glanced at him, unimpressed.

"You really have jokes at a time like this, huh?"

His expression hardened as his Butsugan activated, glowing faintly with divine perception. With a single glance, he created a clone to maintain pressure on the battlefield before turning his attention to Fugami and Smoke.

"Inform the Delta Ops," Shukumei commanded calmly. "Find Hikari. Make sure she's safe."

MISSION PROTECT HIKARI

Fugami nodded immediately, snapping back into focus. He signaled to nearby shinobi those who had already managed to defeat several of the Monkey King's clones.

"Move out. Locate Hikari," he ordered.

Without hesitation, they dispersed.

Fugami closed his eyes, his sensory field expanding outward. It didn't take long before he locked onto a familiar presence.

"I've found her," he said.

He turned to Smoke.

"Teleport to her location."

Smoke gave a slight nod. "Stay close."

THROUGH THE VEIL OF SMOKE

With a swift series of hand signs, smoke spiraled around them, swallowing their forms whole. In an instant, Fugami and several Delta Ops shinobi vanished.

They reappeared moments later near Hikari.

She turned toward them, her expression tense.

THE GIRL WHO WILL DECIDE THE BATTLE

"What's going on out there?" she asked. "I can feel it… that aura…"

Fugami exhaled slowly.

"The Monkey King has gone into a rage. Lord Shukumei and Yamata are engaging him directly."

Hikari's eyes widened slightly, but she steadied herself.

"We came to ensure your safety," one of the Delta Ops added.

She shook her head.

"I'm fine," she replied. "I appreciate it but we need to get back. They can't hold him alone."

Smoke studied her carefully.

"I understand," he said, "but you haven't fully charged your visual prowess yet. Are you sure you'll be alright?"

Hikari met her gaze without hesitation.

"I'll be fine. I can handle myself."

The Delta Ops exchanged glances before one of them spoke.

"When we return, we need a plan," he said. "We have to force him into a position where he can be trapped."

Everyone agreed.

A PLAN AGAINST THE IMPOSSIBLE

Fugami and Smoke quickly took the lead in forming a strategy.

"When I used my smoke teleportation technique on him earlier," Smoke began, "I noticed something… it annoyed him. Disrupted him."

Fugami nodded.

"That could be our opening."

Smoke continued, "The Delta Ops will use their strongest techniques to distract him. If Shukumei and Yamata can land a decisive strike during that moment, we gain the advantage."

He then looked at Hikari.

"And you… you'll use your visual prowess to influence his mind. Even slightly could shift the outcome."

Hikari nodded.

"I understand."

With the plan set, Fugami locked onto Yamata's aura once more.

"Let's move."

RETURN TO THE BATTLEFIELD

Smoke raised his hand again. Smoke enveloped the group, and within seconds, they were transported back toward the battlefield positioning themselves just a mile away, close enough to observe and act.

Back on the battlefield, the clash was reaching its peak.

Shukumei stood firm, his voice calm yet commanding.

"Come on… let's take him down."

Yamata smirked.

"Indeed."

Both men brought their hands together, aura surging violently around them.

SUMMONING OF LEGENDS

"Summoning Technique."

The ground beneath them cracked as massive summoning circles formed, glowing with ancient symbols.

Shukumei's aura erupted upward.

From it emerged a gigantic lion, its body radiating divine power. Its claws were razor-sharp, its fangs gleaming like blades. Standing atop its head, Shukumei looked down upon the battlefield.

The lion let out a thunderous roar, its breath alone strong enough to topple nearby trees. Its fiery hazel eyes locked onto the Monkey King.

Behind him, Yamata's aura twisted and coiled.

Serpents began to emerge from his back, multiplying rapidly until they formed a colossal entity.

The legendary eight-headed serpent, Ibuki Daimyojin, rose into existence.

Each head hissed violently, their glowing eyes fixed on the Monkey King. Yamata stood atop one of the heads, his expression sharp and confident.

For the first time—

The battlefield felt evenly matched.

THE KING'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Monkey King observed them both in silence.

His gaze shifted to Shukumei's summon.

"…Manjushri," he said, a grin spreading across his face. "The legendary sage lion. I haven't seen that in a long time… not since my battle with your father."

His attention then shifted to Yamata's serpent.

Massive. White. Radiating lethal intent.

Each head stared him down, their eyes burning with different chakra natures.

He chuckled darkly.

"You've entertained me long enough."

THE FIRST COLLAPSE

With a sudden motion, he gripped his staff.

A red and golden aura erupted around him, cloaking both his body and weapon in overwhelming power.

Then—

He moved.

The Monkey King leapt into the air and brought his staff down.

BOOOOM!!

The impact obliterated two of the serpent's heads instantly. The explosion tore through the battlefield, sending flames and debris in every direction.

Smoke, Fugami, and the Delta Ops scattered quickly, barely escaping the destruction.

A MONSTER WITHOUT LIMITS

"One of the shinobi shouted, "What kind of strength is this?! He's a monster!"

Yamata's serpent retaliated, multiple heads lunging forward at incredible speed.

But the Monkey King dodged effortlessly.

Another head struck—

He caught it midair.

And tore it apart.

The shockwave alone nearly shattered the battlefield again.

Yamata stepped back slightly, his expression sharpening.

"…His power is increasing."

Shukumei's Butsugan flared.

"No," he said calmly. "He's losing control."

The Monkey King roared, his aura igniting violently.

His attacks became faster.

More destructive.

But less precise.

Still he was overwhelming.

He broke through Yamata's serpent, forcing it back.

THE FIRE THAT CANNOT BE BURNED

Then he turned back Swinging toward Shukumei.

The lion narrowly dodged, countering with a powerful fire-based technique.

Flames engulfed the Monkey King.

He didn't move.

He stood there… letting it hit him.

Then he smiled.

And laughed.

Yamata's eyes narrowed.

"Marvelous… he's resistant to fire as well."

"Shukumei," Yamata called, "use your Butsugan control his mind!"

Shukumei shook his head.

"I can't.

His rage is too strong.

His spirit would break free instantly,It would be a waste of aura."

A brief silence passed.

ANOTHER PLAN IS BORN

Then Shukumei spoke. "I have a plan."

Yamata glanced at him.

"Well, if you do, you'd better say it quickly… or we'll be discussing it in the afterlife."

Shukumei's gaze sharpened.

"We're not killing him."

Yamata raised an eyebrow.

"…Go on."

THE DECISION TO SEAL

"We're sealing him," Shukumei continued. "With my Five Mountain Manjushri Buddha Technique.

The seal is powerful enough to drain his aura… but first, we need to force him out of this form."

Yamata smirked.

"…I had a feeling you'd say that."

He stepped forward slightly, his aura beginning to rise again.

"Then leave that part to me."

YAMATA'S GAMBIT

He looked back at Shukumei.

"Just focus on preparing the technique."

Then Yamata turned toward the Monkey King.

His eyes sharp.

His smile dangerous.

"Watch closely," he said.

"I'll bring him down."
