THANE'S POV
I held my little mate's body, she is so small and thin. I could tell that everyone has left the room, leaving me and my mate alone. Her small hands are placed on my chest as she pushed me off her. 'I don't like it when she does that' frowning I let her take a few steps backwards.
'You know it is not good to frightened someone' she said. I don't answer thinking she will say something again but no. She continued eating her pancakes not paying me any attention. Taking a seat in front of her I asked her the question that has been bothering since I saw her.
'Why can't I feel your wolf?' I saw how she tensed up and avoided eye contacts. Her fingers are slightly drumming on the counter table. She is hiding something. 'That is not your business' she said, her eyes are finally staring at me. I hummed. 'You are forgetting something little mate that I am your mate, so it is my business' 'Just reject me please' She begged.
'Why do you want me to reject you?' I asked. Resting my hands on the table I leaned forward as I watch her.
'Because…I am not the type of mate you want' She yelled pushing her stool in the process. Her yelling doesn't faze me a bit as I just watch her run her hands into that her white hair.
'I am not good for you and I am too young to be ruling a pack.. for fuck sake I am 17 and you are what 27?'
'25' I corrected her gesturing for her to continue her rants.
'I just can't do it' she is pacing her hands on her waist.
'Tell me why?' She stopped as she turned to face me. Opening her mouth to say something then closing it back, turning her face she continues pacing. My lips are pressed in a thin line, I know she is hiding something.
'What is your name?' I asked I need to know that at least.
'Alethea Grey' she answered while taking a seat.
'So you are 25 and I am 17 that is too many gaps' she said trying not stress her brain. 'There is nothing stressful about that, it is just 8 years gap' I thought.
'Where did you come from' I rested my hands on the table.
'Somewhere' she waves her little finger around the air while shoving her face with pancakes.
'What were you doing in the woods last night?' I could see her she tensed up.
'I ran away' she answered after a few seconds of silence.
'I demand to leave this place' she is finally looking at me.
' I think that is not happening' she bit her lips. I could bet that she wants to curse me.
' You are not leaving me little mate?' I said standing arranging my whit shirt.
'If you wouldn't let me go at least let me go somewhere this night..I need to say my farewell to someone I love' she pleaded.
'Love…she loves someone..who is that? There is no way I am letting her go what if she leaves with him'.
' No' With that I left the kitchen where I could hear her strings of curses. I have wanted so long to have her, I can't let her go not when I need to tame my beast.
Walking into my office, Ethan and Ivan is already waiting for me.
'The shadowclaw Alpha called' Ethan said I took my seat. He continues speaking,' He heard that you have gotten your mate and he is not happy. He said that if you don't marry his daughter that they will be no deal between you guys. That you can keep your mate as a mistress'…the look I gave was enough to make anyone pee on themselves, my beta however just swallowed his spit. I could see the sweat breaking out of his skin and Ivan is no exception. There heartbeat is beating so fast that I actually wondered if it burst out of their chest.
I took out my phone and just when I am about to dial the piece of shit number, he calls.
'How could you break my daughter's heart?' he shouted. Too loud,I groan pinching my nose.
' Alpha Jack no deal, I don't want to see or hear from you until I decide to' I hang up.
'Are you sure you what to do that?' Ivan asked.
'I don't need him anymore'.
We have been here for 20 minutes when someone knocked on my door.
'Alpha, may I come in?' I heard a voice it is sounds so familiar. The door opened as my beta's mate I think her name was sc..
'Scarlet what are you doing here' my beta asked.
' Alpha I just came to ask if me and Charlotte could take Thea.. I mean the Luna queen to the mall to get her things and show her around the pack?' I forgot that she can't be wearing my clothes everyday even though I won't mind it.
'Here is my card give to Alethea' I handed her over my black card. She took bowing them leaving shutting the door behind her.
'Come into my office now' I mind linked one of my best guard, Mike. I turned to face my window. Few minutes a knock sounded at my door before opening and closing.
'You called for me your Majesty?' I only cast my side eye at him and the scent around him told me what he has been doing. I rolled my eyes while Ivan tried not laugh, I know they smell that he was having sex before he came in.
'I need you to go and wash up, you reek and follow my mate around to see where she goes. If you lose sight of her consider your girlfriend dead'. 'Yes! Your Majesty' bowing he left the door.
' Tell the cleaners to clean my office before I get back' I don't wait for their response as I slam the door shut behind me. I stood at my balcony as I looked at my mate chatting and smiling with two other girls I don't need to know. I looked her clothes, she has changed into a pair of black sweatpants and sweatshirt, pairing it with a white sneakers. I took her I from head to toe. Her hair is in a ponytail with a white cap. I could see her muscle tensed up as she stopped just before entering the car. Slowly she turned making eye contact with me, her eyes held anger and a promise that I don't get. She turned and got into the car shutting the door just as I car start she rolled down her window sticking her middle finger out. I almost smiled as I walk out of the balcony into my torture room. Time to kill those assholes now that she is gone.
