ALETHEA'S POV
I walked out of the shower and Thane wasn't anywhere to be seen.
'He must have left' I shrugged as I opened his closet. Everything is arranged in an orderly way. I can see his shirts, trousers and suits placed neatly, my gaze shifted to the right side of the closet. My eyes soften at the sight, he had arranged the clothes I bought from when I went shopping, next to his. Shaking the thoughtd out of my head I picked out a fresh pair of black underwear with a white short and a purple crop top. Paring it with a purple sneakers it has white spots on it. I looked at myself in the mirror not quite satisfied with my looks, I stared at Thane's side of the closet.
'He won't mind if I borrow one of his shirt?' I asked before taking a white irin shirt. Putting my hands inside the sleeves, they were to big and long for me just the way I like it. I folded the hand of the sleeves all the way to my wrist. It was like a big ball on my hand but I didn't care, putting my hair in a messy bun leaving some strands to fall all over my face and back. I left the room. I can remember when he carried me from the stairs that I am descending. I don't know where he is but something told me he hasn't left the house. I decided to wander around, the house was huge I can't even remember where I came from. But I am currently standing in front of a big wooden door where voices can be heard.
' I wished I had my wolf, I will be able to hear what they are saying' shaking my head to wipe those thoughts away. Maybe if I push the doors open a little bit then I could hear them. Doing what my stupid brain told me, I pushed the door opened it didn't make any sounds thank you moon goodness. Smiling at my victory, I took a peek inside the room. Thane stood there with the sweatpants he wore this morning and I must say he looks delicious without his shirt on. The morning sun shines on his abs and defined body as he stretched his hands. I can feel something weird happen to my stomach.
'Am I on my period?' I thought. It can't be that.
I can see Thane tensed and those muscles do to, making his veins to pop out.
'Damn I want to lick him' where the hell did that come out from. Before I can even shake my head the door is pulled open wide as I stumbled to gain my balance.
'What are you doing here' his voice is raw and strained.
'I..um..go.. Leave' he cuts me off with a hard command. I stared at him, I won't cry in front of him and those two…Where did they go? I pushed my head under his arm that is rest on the door frame to look inside the room,that is now empty. Oh the command was for them not me, silly me.
I raised my head to see him staring at me with cold and emotionless eyes but there is something else I can see he is trying to figure out what I am thinking about. Before he can find something in there I walked into his office fully.
'So what were you guys talking about?' I asked looking around the office. It is neat and arranged like him.
'I asked a question before little mate' his voice is so close that I feel his lips touch my neck. I can't think of anything apart from what it will feel like to have him kiss me there. No I can't.
Gathering all the willpower I have I stepped away from him to the other side of the room. I face him, my eyes on his not daring to look down from his eyes. His lips are in a tight line, I don't care why. Back when I was in the moonlight pack, I used to hear about the Alpha king and how is ruthless, cruel, and cold hearted. I also heard that he once said he didn't need his mate because he has different bitches for each night.
Thinking about it now, makes me feel disgusted as I wanted to kiss him so bad few minutes ago. I don't know how many bitches he kissed with those lips and I am not about to be one of them.
'I was bored and decided to explore and ended up here' I said my voice hard with venom. He shifts his head to the left, observing why my mood changed so quickly.
'Hmm' he hummed walking out of the door. I turned to look out of the window until his voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
'Aren't you coming' I turned to see him by the door, he holds it open for me to walk out. Him behaving gentleman like won't change my mind about him. I am still going to reject him before I get attached.
'Have you eaten breakfast yet?' he asked
'Not yet' I replied.
I followed him as he entered the kitchen, taking a seat on the counter.
'I have a lot of questions and I will need a honest reply' he said
'Ask away' I took the bowl he gave me as he poured something in it. I didn't bother asking as I watch him do the same, then he added milk in both bowls. Taking a spoon I watched as he ate it, following him I did the same.
'Oh my God' I moaned
'Don't do what?' I asked taking another bite of heaven.
'Don't make those sounds with your mouth' I didn't bother replying just continued eating.
'Where did you go yesterday's night?' I don't want to lie, I don't have it in me to lie.
'To my old pack' he stared at me confused.
'Which pack is that?'
'Moonlight pack' I can see the shock on his face as I told him that.
'Why did you go there?' he asked his food long forgotten.
'Someone I love died' I said, the food was too hard to swallow this time.
'Why did you leave your pack?' I feel his eyes on me.
'I ran away and I am not telling you the reasons' his brows are frowned, smiling I added
'You are the Alpha king, you can figure it out' this time his lips are in a thin line.
I continued eating as he thought about what I said 'Then tell me this one thing?' I nodded still eating.
'What is your full name?' he asked
I stared at his brown eyes and smiled as I just gave him a hint to solve his puzzle.
'Alethea Grey, daughter of the beta of the moonlight pack' I stood up and walked out if the kitchen.
