"Anywhere near adapting to this situation? " Albur approached to Wilton.
"I don't know man, I'm still kinda confused right now....." he muttered.
"The first thing I hear right after I woke up, is the world invaded by....morons, and the first thing I faced was an enemy so freaking powerful. I'm just a normal cameraman..." Wilton sat down.
"Hey, I am also just a normal news reporter, and look how I'm adapting now." said Albur.
"You're different, you are braver than me, not like me, who is just a coward, even Johnson said I am one." murmured Wilton.
"Don't mind his words, he is just an emotionless battle machine. "
Albur sat next to him, looking at the dark surrounding.
"Maybe I can't encourage you to fight, or help, or whatever, but, just try your best to stay alive. That's what every one of us are trying to do right now." Albur patted Wilton's shoulder. Wilton smiled.
"Oh yeah, speaking of Johnson, I have something I definitely have to show you." Albur searched his bag, he took out the criminal record he took previously and showed it to Wilton.
"Wait, what is this? " asked Wilton.
"This is a criminal record, familiar with the criminals name? " asked Albur.
Wilton took a look on the record, he then gasped in fear.
"Wait, you mean....."
Albur nodded his head.
"Mysty is still not aware of this.....I will try telling her this, you must be careful onwards....."
Wilton nodded his head.
"Need help investigating this stuff?"
"Oh, I would love that. Thanks Wil."
Wilton smiled.
Suddenly, the boat stopped, it rattled so hard as if it hit a concrete wall.
"What the? What the heck is blocking the way? " Johnson jumped off the helm. Covie woke up due to the impact. Albur quickly got into battle pose. Mysty, although still not feeling well, also got to battle pose. Johnson ran to the bow of the boat and took a peek.
"Let me see."
Albur walked to Johnson, he took out his old spotlight and shone at the ocean.
" Nothing...." murmured Albur.
Suddenly, a massive jaw emerged from the water, swallowing the old spotlight and vanished into the water.
"What the...the spotlight!" Albur looked into the sea. Suddenly, the jaw snaps again, Albur is lucky enough to dodge it in time.
"What is happening? " Covie flew next to Johnson.
The unknown creature kept attacking the boat recklessly. Wilton hid himself in fear. Mysty took out her CCTV glass flashlight and shone it at the ocean, the gang can finally see what is attacking the boat. It is a massive sea creature, not a shark, nor a whale, it have an enormous, loosely hinged jaw and pouch-like mouth, a long, thin, black, ribbon-like body and a long tail. It continued to attack the boat, seemingly want to sink it. The boat kept shaking, everyone was trying their best to remain balance.
"What is that thing? It doesn't look like something on earth! " yelled Covie.
"Wait a second." Albur tried to use his watch's search website to search for it but there's no signal around the area.
"Dang it! I couldn't search it up! " yelled Albur.
The creature attacked the boat even more violently, the boat kept shaking and rattling.
"Mysty! You have any idea what is that thing? " asked Johnson.
Mysty shone her flashlight at the creature again, trying to see what really is it, somehow, it was hurt by the light. Mysty tried to make up something in her mind.
"Giant mouth, long body, weird look, afraid of lights...wait! That's it!" Mysty had a Eureka moment in her mind.
"I think that is a Gulper Eel." she said.
"Gulper Eel? What is that? " asked Albur.
"A creature living in the midnight zone of the ocean, it was one of the creatures that somehow weren't extinct during the HVR war! But i dont know why is it so massive! They should only be around 1 meters long! " said Mysty.
"How the heck did they come up here! Shouldn't they stay in the midnight zone? Where's the water pressure and light difference?! " yelled Albur.
"I think it evolved through the years! But it still shouldn't be that big! " yelled Mysty.
"Must be because it have no natural predators hunting for it! We have to escape it! Covie! Repair the broken parts! Mysty! Albur! Try your best to keep it away! I'll try to get us outta here!" Johnson yelled as he tried to get back to the helm. Albur and Mysty looked at each other and exchanged a nod. Mysty turned on and off her flashlight repeatedly to try and stunt the Gulper Eel. It got enraged and slammed onto the boat so hard it went into the boat's body. It then kept struggling, trying to further damage the boat
"Oh no you don't! " Albur fired a Hyper Blast at it, hurting it, he then fired a Disabling Shot to stunt it and then kick it off the boat. Covie repaired the broken parts. The Gulper Eel recovered from the injury and continued attacking the boat.
"Boy is he starving. " said Mysty.
"The other creatures were captured, so there's no food for him I guess..."
Albur tried to fire at it. But then, it dove into the water. The two of them were shocked, they quickly searched the water beneath them.
"Where'd it go? " asked Mysty.
"It can't be escaping, it...wait....AWWWW SNAP! Johnson! Hit the speed! " yelled Albur.
"Wha- the what?!" Johnson yelled.
As Albur expected, the Gulper Eel hit the boat from below directly, making the crushing it into 2 parts and sending everyone flying 15 meters high. The Gulper Eel aimed for Albur and opened its mouth right at the place where Albur is falling. Albur panicked, he tried to use everything he can but nothing can be used and his rifle is way to far for him to reach. As he was about to give up and just fall down, he think of an idea. When he fell into the mouth of the Gulper Eel, he braced himself against its mouth. He then reached out to his microphone at his waist and turned it to max volume.
"Built-in speaker activated, warning: the volume might be too high."
The Gulper Eel tried harder to shut its mouth in order to swallow Albur. Unable to hold on anymore, he smashed his microphone against the mouth of the Gulper Eel, producing an extremely loud, ear piercing audio feed back. Albur can't hear anything other than his ear ringing. His vision was blury, and he feel very dizzy. He can feel that the Gulper Eel had let go of him, he dropped into the ocean, fainted.
