Chapter 13 - 13: Do you want to have sex with me?

Varney

 "I- I don't understand, I'm human?" I responded, my tone like a question cause I was starting to feel weirded out.

The leader took one long look at me before he stepped back. "You may leave."

My eyes widened. Somehow I didn't expect it to be over this easily.

"Of course, a word of this conversation mustn't leave this room if you love yourself."

As I left the room, I felt more confused than ever, and also terrified for something I didn't even know.

 I was tasked with scrubbing the entire hallway of the dorms, and by the time I finished, I felt like I was about to faint. The fact that now I'd have to be working like this every damn day on moving forward made me feel this strong urge to cry, cause this is literally torture.

I was already running late when I finally made my way into my dorm, feeling tired and hungry as hell.

I got into the bathroom and almost cried cause my horrible roommate used up all the hot water, and I feel cold as hell cause the woods last night was so cold.

With no time to waste, I rushed fast, showering and getting dressed in one of my clothes which was more like pieces of rags put together. I need money, as fast as possible, because I definitely need more clothes.

As I rushed to my first class for the day, I wondered if there'd be a way for me to make money here in this school. Aside from clothes, I'd definitely need money for a lot of other important things.

My stomach growled. I was starving right now but there's no time for me to stop at the cafeteria right now. That would have to wait until later.

I was following the map carefully. My first class was general English, and I feel eager to start learning in this school. In my past life, I couldn't study. In this new life, my life situation wasn't all that good, but I'd take it over and over again compared to my past life where I was living with my horribly creepy step brothers.

I was walking so fast that I didn't see the person in my line of direction until I had fully collided into them.

A horrified gasp left my mouth as I glanced up fast and locked eyes with him.

The prince from yesterday who I spilled coffee on.

The male lead of this story.

His eyes were as dark as I remember and he was wearing a white shirt today. Thankfully I hadn't grabbed anything from the cafe yet, else it would have ruined his shirt.

Then of course he'd have just snapped my throat

We were presently in the school hallway, and a few students who were present sll turned to glance at us.

A terrified shiver rolled down my spine as I backed away at once, my face hot. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there." I whispered frantically, my eyes falling on the ground where the book he was holding had fallen.

I bent to pick it up but his sharp voice stopped me in my tracks.

"Leave it,"

His voice sounded so cold, making me flinch.

He bent and retrieved the book, then he towered over me again, his dark eyes watching me for a moment before he clicked his tongue.

"Are you blind, human?"

My cheeks flowed in embarrassment. This was my fault, I deserved it.

"I'm not… it wasn't intentional, I'm sorry." I tried again and he let out a scoff, glaring at me like I was dirt under his feet.

"Do you know what happens to people who get on my nerves?" He asked but I remained silent cause truly, I'd rather not know. I only want to get to class right now.

"Most of them don't live to see the next day."

As my mouth fell open in shock, he brushed past me, leaving me feeling horrified, and scared out of my mind.

I turned and stared at his retreating back.

He hadn't meant those words, had he?

~~~ | ~~~
 In my first class, I stepped in and the teacher instantly stopped me.
"Why are you late to my class? Think this is a party or something? And what are you wearing?" The woman asked, her nose upturned and she looked annoyed. The class erupted in laughs and I wished I could disappear into thin air right now.
"Uh, I was…—"
She cut me off rudely with a wave of her hand. "I don't wanna hear it. Introduce yourself, your supernatural class and find an empty seat."
I took in a deep breath, reminding myself to not let her words get to me.
"Hello everyone, I'm Varney. I'm a human."
The class looked bored as hell and the teacher basically resumed teaching without acknowledging my words. I let out a deep sigh as I made my way to the back of the class where about three seats were left.
I sank into one of the seats, then I faced the class.
That's when I realized everyone was staring at me, not in disgust or boredom, but horror and disbelief.
I blinked in confusion, wondering if I had something on my face or something. Why were they all staring at me right now?
"You shouldn't seat there if you love your life." Someone spoke from the row in front of me after everyone had looked away. He was staring at me with something that resembled amusement and pity.
"Why?" I asked and he shrugged.
"That's Knox's seat, no one sits in it,"
I jumped off the seat so fast that my head spinned.
What the fuck? Knox had a seat just for himself? And does he kill people over something as ridiculous as a seat?
Is it ever that serious?
Ugh.
The class ended in literal minutes cause apparently, I arrived at the class when it was about to finish. Everyone was filing out of the class and my eyes darted to the guy who spoke to me a while ago, and I thought of striking a conversation with him cause so far, he's the only one who's voluntarily spoke to me since my arrival in this school.
As if reading my mind, he turned in his seat to smile at me, holding his hand out.
"Hey, Varney and welcome to the class. I'm Darcy, and I'm a werewolf… but I haven't gotten my wolf yet." His voice was a little sad at the end.
I accepted his hand a little too fast, then I felt embarrassed, but I didn't care, especially when he asked if we could be friends in the next moment.
Of course I instantly agreed.
"My first human friend, I'm excited!" He exclaimed and we both laughed again.
"And you'll be my first werewolf friend." He informed me and he grinned bashfully.
"I'll soon get my wolf, then you'll get to meet the coolest wolf ever." He huffed out and my mind instantly went to that night where I met that large wolf in the middle of that night and helped him.
I briefly wondered how he's fairing now. Is his injury healed? Is he still out there wandering?
My heart squeezed on remembering the fruits he left me that morning.
Darcy and I separated, because while he had a different class, I was free for the next period.
I felt relieved as I exited the classroom, heading for the cafeteria straight cause I was so hungry, I might faint.
"Hey, weirdo human. Come here." A sharp voice called out and I stiffened.
It was a feminine voice and I turned around. The girl was pretty and in a short, revealing outfit. She wasn't someone I recognize, but I just knew she was gonna give me trouble.
She was standing in the midst of her three friends and they were all giggling among themselves.
I turned away and resumed walking, and the girl screamed for me again, now sounding annoyed as she marched around to stand in front of me.
"Can I help you?" I asked as politely as I could, a frustrated huff leaving my mouth as I stared at her beautiful face and the wings protruding from her back. She's clearly a fairy and all the stories didn't lie about them being super pretty.
We were about the same height, so she wasn't that intimidating. I tried to check if I found her attractive, but I felt nothing.
I might be straight but she's definitely not my type. Not cause she wasn't pretty enough but cause of her personality, I believe.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure of what my type is yet.
"Would you like to have sex with me?" She asked and I almost fainted from shock.
