"Ouch. That hurt." Fionn cried, his arms tightly wrapped around Kiara.
"Are you alright?" He whispered as his eyes studied the girl, completely oblivious of the people around them.
"Fionn, they are watching," Kiara whispered, burying her face in his chest.
"Isn't that Fionn one of the Clarkson Brothers?" One bystander said.
"He's never been seen with a woman. Do you think that's his girlfriend?" Another asked.
"She's such a lucky woman. I'm envious."
"She can't be his girlfriend, don't you know that he's gay?"
"No wonder, that's why he was forced into marriage to keep his CEO position."
A group of girls kept on gossiping.
Fionn didn't mind whatever they said, but one captured his attention. Him being gay.
"Gay, really." He scoffed.
"Fionn, you better do something, we can't continue lying down here," Kiara whispered, her face still buried in his chest.
"Well, princess... sorry...Kiara .. you know I can't be of help for as long as you're still comfortably enjoying the warmth of my body."
"How do you expect me to get off you when your arms are still tightly wrapped around me. That being said, all those people are still watching. I can't just simply stand up," She whispered, her voice tinged with a bit of annoyance and embarrassment.
________
"I think I heard my sister scream," Kayla muttered. She tensed as she looked in the direction of the small crowd of people.
"We should check it out," Ethan whispered.
The two ran to the small crowd, Ethan making his way through as Kayla followed closely behind, her hand tightly clutched in his. The sight of the two left them stunned.
What in the world had Fionn done this time around? He had turned himself and Kiara into a laughing stock. Had he known this would happen, he wouldn't have agreed to the plan. Ethan couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"Mr. Fionn Clarkson. This girl really has you. I'm starting to question your sanity." He muttered under his breath. Kayla hurriedly grabbed a bathrobe on display and wrapped it around her sister.
"It's another Clarkson brother. With another woman."
"I think the women are sisters; they look alike."
"I wish I were one of them."
"Ooh my... It's two of the Clarkson Brothers and their Girlfriends."
The girls kept on gossiping.
"Sweethearts," Ethan called out at the gossiping girls.
"He called us sweethearts." One giggled.
Kayla helped her sister and Fionn up as Ethan kept the gossiping girls busy. The rest of the onlookers had returned to their businesses, but the girls had kept around.
__________
Kiara was restless, pacing around the room, her face painted with embarrassment. "That's so embarrassing. Everyone saw me." She stuttered.
"Have you been to the beach?" Fionn asked casually.
"Yes. Why do you ask?" She asked, giving him a sharp gaze, her disfigured face shouting, "It's all your fault " at him.
"Just think of it that we were at the beach." He said with the hope that he was helping.
"Fionn, you're not helping." She said. her voice barely a whisper. She fought hard to suppress the anger that was building up, but deep down, she felt like jumping onto him and strangling him to death. She gave him an intimidating look that sent shivers down the man's spine.
"I give up." He said, raising his hands in utter surrender. "Guess I'll check the situation outside."
"Better." She said.
Before he twisted the nob to open the door, Kayla opened it from the outside, her gaze locking with his. He noticed a clear resemblance between the two, not just how gorgeous they were, but they had the same eyes and face shape.
"Are you Kayla?" He asked his voice intimidating.
Kayla stood perplexed, her lips parted, but no words came out, and before she could get herself to utter a word, Kiara's voice cut through the silence.
"You fool, stop scaring my sister around." She snapped; she now knew how ungentlemanly he was with women. She wasn't letting him near her sister.
"I'm not scaring. I was just asking." Fionn replied.
"Good, you know we are sisters. What do you want with her? Leave her alone." Kiara replied, her tone calming down.
The door opened wider, and Ethan pulled the fear-stricken girl to his side.
"It's all clear." He muttered, addressing the two people inside the room.
He turned to Kayla, leaning his towering figure to her level.
"Don't mind him. He shouldn't scare you." He whispered into her ear. He had done a great deal of winning the girl over; no wonder she felt safe around him. She managed a smile, which was reciprocated by his own.
The two walked to the cash-in-counter, leaving Fionn and Kiara behind. Kayla watched in awe as Ethan wrote a cheque worth fifty-five thousand Euros.
Was he about to give it to the cashier?
"It's for the damage my brother caused." He said as he handed it to the cashier, her curiosity was satisfied.
"What, fifty-five thousand for just a small commotion?" She mused.
"Who are these guys really. How are they so famous and rich?" She came from a wealthy family, her father owning a chain of different companies, but this was beyond. She'd indeed spent extravagantly, but this guy was literally throwing away money like it didn't matter to him.
__________
Kiara stood up from where she had found refuge and sauntered towards the door, but was stopped by Fionn's hand, which blocked the doorway before she could get out.
"What now?" She asked.
"Ride with me," Fionn said with a serious tone.
"I'm not interested." She snapped.
"We have a lot to talk about." He replied.
They indeed had a lot to talk about. A lot had happened in the past days that was left unsettled.
Kiara's heart screamed for her to agree, but her mind was totally against it; it wasn't ready for another drama, but when the words came, "Alright. It's fine. I'll go with you."
She couldn't believe it; her lips had betrayed her.
"Then let's go," Fionn muttered, a smile tagging at his lips. Kiara felt like protesting; she wasn't ready to go with him, but the damage had been done. Her own lips had betrayed her, dictating her fate against her wish.
They left the changing room where they had been for the past hour. Kiara followed closely behind Fionn, her face painted with disappointed defiance.
They walked to the counter where Ethan and Kayla were waiting.
"You two drive together. I'll go with Princess." Fionn said nonchalantly, more like talking to himself. Kiara handed her sister the car keys and ran towards Fionn like a little girl running to their father.
"What do you think?" Kayla asked, referring to Fionn and her sister.
"I'm not sure about your sister, but my brother is surely in love with her; he's just trying to run away from it," Ethan replied.
