"So that's how it is… this is the seal placed upon the Dog Clan?"
Ruo Feng murmured to himself as he stared at the ancient manuscript before him.
Inside the vast cavern were countless treasured texts. Yet the Ghost-Faced Mastiff King had deliberately guided him to this particular volume. Within it lay an analysis of the seal placed on the Dog Clan. The manuscript was none other than the research notes of the Dog Sage — decades of accumulated study.
It had to be said: although the Dog Clan's intelligence had been sealed away, their natural animal instincts remained exceptionally sharp.
Ruo Feng gently stroked the Ghost-Faced Mastiff King. Among the Tibetan mastiff pack, this one was the most powerful. Feeling the warm sense of closeness transmitted through their summoning contract, Ruo Feng lowered his gaze back to the manuscript.
The text explained that the Dog Clan's seal was an extremely unique sealing technique. It restricted spiritual power, sealing each dog's mental strength within their bloodline. Spiritual power was the manifestation of one's soul — in many ways, it was the soul itself. With the soul sealed, true intelligence could hardly emerge.
Worse still, the spiritual power had been sealed directly into their flesh and blood cells. This severely limited the Dog Clan's growth. Summoned beasts typically grew rapidly, but such growth required chakra. Now, with spiritual power sealed and fused into their flesh, chakra itself was effectively locked within their cells. Without the ability to generate chakra, they could not truly grow stronger.
As for cultivating natural chakra? That was even more impossible.
After all, controlling chakra required strong spiritual power.
The one who had cast this sealing technique was Uchiha Madara.
It was practically the bane of summoned beasts. Especially those that had yet to mature — once sealed, recovery was nearly impossible. Worse, the seal passed down through bloodlines. It was nothing short of a technique designed to destroy an entire summoning race.
Ruo Feng narrowed his eyes.
"How could the Uzumaki Clan possess such a sealing technique? I didn't see this one in the scrolls written by Madara…"
Though puzzled, he wasn't worried.
When it came to sealing arts, none surpassed the Uzumaki Clan. Ruo Feng knew Uzumaki Kushina, and behind her stood Uzumaki Mito. Lifting this seal might not be difficult for them.
More importantly, the manuscript recorded several potential methods to break the seal.
The Dog Sage had concluded that destroying the balance of the seal would suffice. If the Dog Clan's flesh and blood cells grew strong enough — to an extreme level — they might shatter the seal on their own.
For that purpose, the Dog Sage had even created a body-strengthening method using natural chakra to enhance physical constitution. Unfortunately, this method could only be used once. Excessive enhancement would lead to erosion by natural chakra — causing complete beastification.
Seeing this, Ruo Feng muttered:
"So that's it… the enhancement I experienced last night was natural chakra. No wonder it was so painful — and so effective. It was the strengthening art created by the Dog Sage. But overusing it would cause me to lose control and become beast-like."
He shook his head and set the manuscript down, looking at the somewhat pitiful Ghost-Faced Mastiff King.
If this king possessed true intelligence and could grow properly, surpassing Gamabunta would be effortless. Compared to dogs, toads were inherently weaker. The same could be said of snakes. Some racial gaps were simply innate.
He patted the mastiff's head.
"Don't worry. You'll regain your intelligence soon. Then you'll grow stronger without limits. Tomorrow I'll ask Kushina about a method to remove the seal. And even if we can't find one… I have ways to continuously strengthen your blood and cells until you break it yourselves."
His voice was calm — but confident.
He wasn't joking.
He still had several tons of magical beast meat. If it could strengthen a human body, it could certainly strengthen the Dog Clan's physique. Stronger bodies meant stronger cells — and perhaps the seal would crack under pressure.
And beyond that, there were other methods.
From the Doupo world's discarded materials, he had obtained Foundation Building Spiritual Liquid. That too could strengthen the body. Unfortunately, he had no clear understanding of its medicinal properties. If the energy was too violent, it might destroy the body instead. He didn't dare use it recklessly — nor experiment. He had only a small amount, and without medical ninjutsu knowledge, testing it was risky.
Soon, Ruo Feng arrived at a barren area of Beast King Mountain.
"Woof! Woof!"
The Ghost-Faced Mastiff King barked.
Ruo Feng smiled faintly.
"Oh? So this is the wasteland of Beast King Mountain?"
Through the summoning contract, he understood its meaning.
The desolate land before him was the mountain's unused zone.
Ruo Feng gazed ahead.
"Let's do it here. All the useless trash in the garbage station — dump it out!"
As his words fell, space above the wasteland twisted violently. Then—
"BOOM! BOOM!"
Crushed stones, broken wood, soil… heaps of miscellaneous junk poured down onto the barren ground.
The garbage from several Earth-based worlds had already been decomposed by the garbage station itself.
So what appeared now was trash from the Grave Robbers' Chronicles world.
"BOOM—!"
Another rumble.
Next came trash from the Doupo world — mostly soil and splintered wood.
Then came the garbage from the Swallowed Star world.
This one, Ruo Feng handled more carefully.
After all, Swallowed Star's background was a post-apocalyptic Earth. Some of the steel materials were actually useful. Even if he had no use for them now, they could someday be forged into weapons for the Dog Clan.
The steel beams fell neatly to one side, while the rest of the junk piled onto the wasteland.
"Phew…"
Ruo Feng exhaled slowly.
"Finally cleaned out the garbage station. It's empty now."
He closed the garbage station. The distorted space returned to normal.
Looking at the mountain-sized heap of trash, he turned to the Ghost-Faced Mastiff King.
"You head back first. I'm going home to sleep. I'll visit you tomorrow."
With that, he vanished into a cloud of white smoke.
The Ghost-Faced Mastiff King watched him leave.
Then its gaze shifted to the towering pile of trash.
In its lively eyes flickered a trace of… desire.
