Jade heard voices clearly for a while. She felt his strong arm around her, warm and comforting for the time being. His cologne, oh his cologne, it was not strong. You really had to be close to him to smell it, and it was the best she had smelled in a long time. Such a fragrance did not exist outside of this world. It was just perfect.
"The serum, she was injected with the serum." She could hear the urgency in his voice, as well as how quickly he shut out anyone else who asked him questions. "Don't ask me anything, take care of her," he had said firmly.
Jade saw Agnes walk into the ward. She had come to drop a file off for Stella, but at the wrong time. Stella was just a biologist who specialized in these toxins as well as how they reacted with the human body. As the lead biologist, she knew what to do, but not everything else.
