Chapter 23 - Violence.

"Master!"

"MASTER!"

A voice broke though Silas's sleep, he looked around groggily.

"What?" He said with some dissatisfaction.

"Master, it's time for school, I've already prepared your clothes."

Silas looked around, it seems like he fell asleep.

He stood up and looked around and started walking upstairs, upon arriving in his room he looked at the digital watch on his bedside table.

He had 40 minutes until he needed to leave.

A shower and some observing out the floor to ceiling windows and he was ready to go.

The outfit for the day was simple, gray jeans, dark blue hoodie, and boots.

He really was the epitome of style.

He walked downstairs and picked up his keys and phone off the kitchen island.

As he arrived at the door, Viktor was standing there.

"Looking good, master."

Silas nodded.

"Thanks."

He headed out the door and made his way towards his car.

He jumped in his car.

Starting the car and driving off, he was now on the way to school.

After parking in the parking lot, he started to walk inside. Hopefully this day will pass smoothly.

He arrived at his locker and opened it, glancing at his schedule he had history first class.

As he closed the locker he felt a cold aura beside him, he turned to look and saw Alice standing there with her hands behind her back and smiling at him.

"Hello Silas. How are you today?"

Silas looked at her suspiciously, she was up to something, I'm convinced.

"It's been good, a little stressful morning, otherwise it's been good."

 Alice smiled.

"I thought that we had become pretty good friends, no?"

Silas nodded. They had… kinda, it's not like he has any other friends.

"Then how about we exchange phone numbers?" Alice said, looking unbothered on the surface, like she was sure to receive it.

But deep down she was feeling nervous, she had been pacing the entire night trying to figure out the best way to approach, how to start… she was not calm.

I knew she was up to something. Silas sighed in his heart, but on the outside he nodded. They could be called friends afterall.

Alice smiled, and on the inside she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Great!"

Alice took out her hands from her back, in her hands were her phone.

Silas reached into his pocket and took out his phone. As he raised it and took a look his face fell. He had forgotten to charge it.

He raised his head and gave an apologetic smile to Alice.

"I've forgotten to charge my phone…"

Alice's smile stiffened for a second, then it regained its luster.

"It's fine, you can just tell me your number and I will call you when you get home, and then you can add me."

Silas nodded. He really didn't mean for this to happen.

Silas walked up beside Alice and told his phone number and she wrote it in, then she added it to her contact list.

When she was done she smiled sweetly.

"Then I will call you later, will you be sitting with us at lunch?"

Silas nodded.

"Yeah, if you want me."

Alice nodded.

"Of course."

Alice smiled and walked off.

Silas watched her back as she walked away. He felt like he was on the stage too much.

He started to walk towards the history class.

Maybe being on the stage isn't so bad, he can just be a background character.

Just then he arrived at the history class. He walked in and sat down, he looked at the whiteboard and got lost in thought.

The whole class passed in this daze-like state. As class ended he walked out and headed for his locker.

As he took a few steps someone grabbed his shirt and a voice rang out. He turned around and it was Kate.

"Why didn't you answer any of my texts yesterday?"

Silas looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

"My phone was dead, still is." As he said that he raised his phone and pushed the power button a few times.

Kate nodded.

"Was it anything important?" Silas asked.

Kate shook her head.

"I just wanted to thank you, and also asked if you wanted to sit with me for lunch?"

"No need to thank me." Silas said.

"As for sitting with you at lunch, I've already promised Alice I would sit with her and the Cullens, but if you don't mind sitting with them, I think there should be no problem if you join."

Kate looked troubled. The Cullens. They were even more loner than her, she at least had some interaction with classmates, but they avoided it at all costs.

But still… they were very popular. They are beautiful and rich, that's the closest you can come to superpowers.

"Is it really okay?"

Silas nodded.

"It should be fine."

They talked some more then they agreed to meet at the cafeteria entrance.

Silas walked to his locker and switched books. This time it was math.

He headed to math class. When he entered he was greeted by Emmett who was looking at him with a smile. Silas flashed a small smile back and walked over.

After he had sat down, Emmett got right to the point.

"Brother, let's exchange numbers."

Silas looked at him, then sighed, and explained the situation to him.

"My phone is dead, but if you want I can give you my phone number."

Emmett nodded.

"That's fine." After he said that they exchanged phone numbers.

The math class passed smoothly, as the class was nearing its end, Silas asked Emmett a question.

"Emmett, Is it alright if Kate sits with us at lunch? You know, she doesn't have anyone else to sit with."

Emmett didn't think much and nodded.

"It's fine, the others won't mind." Emmett said… but inwardly he gloated, except maybe Alice, hehe. Manoeuvre well my good brother.

As the class ended they walked out of math class. And like the previous day, it was now lunch, so they did like yesterday. First go to Silas's locker, then Emmett's.

Then they made their way towards the cafeteria.

They arrived at the same time as the others. Kate was also there, waiting, she walked over a little timidly.

Understandable since all except him were strangers to her.

Emmett looked at them and said.

"This is Kate and she's gonna sit with us."

The others nodded noncommittal, clearly they didn't care much. Only Alice scrutinized her.

She felt displeased for some reason.

They entered the cafeteria and Silas, Alice and Kate made their way towards the cafeteria line.

They talked a little about mutual hobbies, like reading.

But soon it was their time. As Silas walked over to the counter the lunch lady looked at him and smiled.

"The usual? Apple or orange juice?"

Silas smiled.

"Apple juice."

He took out some money and paid. Soon Alice stepped forward and chose the same stuff, but she seemed to remember something, so she turned to look at Silas.

"Hey! I was supposed to pay for that!"

Silas smiled and responded.

"You were too slow, again."

Alice pouted and paid for her stuff, soon Kate stepped forward and bought a sandwich, apple, and apple juice.

Then they walked over to the table, where the rest of the Cullens sat.

Alice sat on his left, and Kate on his right. Silas frowned, what was this position?

Anyway he didn't really care and started to chew on his apple.

Sigh. Still grainy, the apple tasted like it had been left out in the sun, but how is that possible!? There hasn't been a speck of sun since he arrived in Forks.

The lunch passed smoothly in this manner. They had some pleasant conversation. Kate was mostly silent. She only answered some questions aimed at her, but nothing else.

She was probably shy around strangers, like most teenagers.

After lunch the other classes passed smoothly as well. And soon the school day was over.

Silas threw his stuff into his locker and made his way towards his car.

He walked across the parking lot at brisk speed and soon arrived at his car. He got in and sped towards home.

In the car he was vibing to some early 2000s music, there were quite a few good ones.

As he arrived home he parked and made his way inside.

Viktor walked over. Then he urgently said.

"Master, you're back."

Silas nodded.

Then Viktor continued.

"I received a call from Cessian and Gregor and it seems that the Volturi had caught up, they had called you, but you didn't answer."

Silas raised an eyebrow and nodded.

"My phone's dead, so do they want help?"

Viktor nodded.

"They don't know what to do."

"They are simply outnumbered."

Silas nodded.

"Call them and tell them to move towards Port Angeles, we will meet them outside the city."

Viktor nodded and got right to it.

"Done master, they say they are on course."

Silas nodded.

"Then let's head here." As he said this he and Viktor flashed away. They were planning on running, afterall they are probably faster than a car.

Silas was excited, it was finally time for some violence again.
