Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Master, are you awake?"
Silas opened his eyes and looked at the roof, he rolled over and looked at the watch on the night stand.
Time to go up.
"Yeah." Silas said his voice deep and gruff after just waking up. He stood up, and made his way towards the bathroom..
Viktor outside hearing this nodded and walked downstairs.
He couldn't understand why the master liked to sleep. Was it really that nice? He couldn't quite remember how he felt.
Silas took a quick shower and then picked out some clothes. It was simple, light blue jeans, and a white hoodie with blue details. He felt like going light today.
As he made his way down stairs, he felt his phone vibrate. It was a good morning text from Alice.
Silas opened his phone and texted back.
Alice text: Good morning.
Silas text: Thank you and you too.
He then put down his phone and entered the kitchen, he made his way over to the kitchen counter and started making a sandwich.
He doesn't have to eat, but he has really gotten into this human disguise he got going. He better commit to the disguise. Go hard or go home as they say.
He sat down on the kitchen island and started to eat. He now remembered why he hated sandwiches in his first life.
Dry, tasteless and not filling.
He finished eating the sandwich and put the plate in the dishwasher. Time to head to school.
As he walked out of the kitchen he grabbed his keys on the kitchen island.
Walking out of the house Viktor said goodbye.
"Have a great day, master."
Silas nodded and headed to his car.
As he was driving towards school he couldn't help but ponder.
When is Edward coming back, it was one week after enrollment right?
Sigh.
I miss watching the awkward relationship between him and Bella.
As Silas neared town he caught sight of someone familiar.
He drove up beside them and rolled down the window.
"Kate!?"
The girl walking on the side of the road was indeed Kate. She heard Silas's shout and turned her head.
She looked a little shocked and confused.
"Silas?"
"Yeah, do you want a ride?"
Kate hesitated for a second then nodded. He won't kidnap me, right? Even if he did…
"So do you always walk to school?" Silas asked, bringing Kate out of her stupor after she got into the car.
"Yeah, my mom works all the time at the hospital, and my sister doesn't have a license."
"Or… my sister did have a license, but it got suspended."
Silas smiled in amusement.
"What did she do?"
Kate looked embarrassed.
"She drank and drove."
Silas let out a chuckle, and looked over.
"I already like your sister, haha."
Kate smiled wryly.
"Yeah… my mom wouldn't agree with you, she was very mad, especially since my sister is 21 and still lives at home."
Silas just laughed again.
Kate looked around the car for the first time.
"You got a really nice car…"
Silas smiled.
"Thanks, I like it a lot."
Kate nodded a little embarrassed.
"If you want I can drive you to school, after all it seems like it's on the way?"
Kate looked over.
"Would you really wanna do that?"
Silas nodded.
"I don't mind."
Kate smiled.
"Thank you."
Silas smiled.
"No problem, we're friends after all."
Kate nodded a little absentminded.
Just then they rolled into the parking lot
Silas looked around and soon found a parking spot. After parking he stepped out with Kate.
"Let's go."
Kate nodded in agreement and followed him towards the stairs.
Upon entering the school they separated.
Silas walked towards his locker and soon arrived. After opening the lock, he took out his books for history.
Seeing that he had everything he closed the locker, and behind the locker door stood Alice, with a smile.
"Hello, Silas."
"Hello, Alice."
Alice smiled.
"I heard you and Kate arrived in the same car earlier."
Silas nodded.
"Yeah, I met her on the way and offered to drive her since she was walking."
Alice nodded.
"That was nice of you."
Silas nodded and started to walk towards the history classroom. Alice slipped in beside him.
"Are you and Kate sitting with us for lunch today?"
Silas nodded.
"I think so… I don't know about Kate but I am."
Alice smiled.
"Then she probably is too."
Silas agreed with that logic.
Just then they arrived at the history classroom.
"See you later Silas."
"Yeah, see you later."
The history classroom was mostly empty, Silas found his designated spot and sat down.
The class passed smoothly, and so did the one after that.
The lunch also passed smoothly, as did the rest of the classes.
After school Silas waited by his locker for Kate. As he was standing there waiting he felt a pair of eyes on him.
It was Alice, she was spying on him.
Silas didn't know what to say, curious little?
Just then Kate arrived, she smiled and said.
"Have you waited long?"
Silas shook his head.
"No, I just arrived."
Kate smiled and nodded and then they started to walk outside. They walked down the stairs and talked about the ride home.
"So where do you live?" Kate asked.
Silas looked thoughtful.
"I don't think it has a name, per se, but do you know the newly built house with an ocean view?"
Kate looked surprised.
"Yeah, basically everybody knows it, it has been in the paper for being unsellable."
She then turned to look at Silas.
"You bought it!?"
Silas smiled.
"Yeah."
Just then they arrived at Silas's car.
"Get in."
They both got in and Silas started to drive towards Kate's neighborhood.
After 10 minutes of driving they arrived at a neighborhood that looked like Bella's in the movies.
Silas drove up slowly beside a white house.
"Is this is?"
Kate nodded.
"Thanks for the ride."
Silas smiled.
"No problem, I will pick you up tomorrow morning so you don't have to walk."
Kate nodded a little embarrassedly.
"Thanks again."
Silas nodded.
Kate stepped out and walked towards the front porch, she unlocked the door and walked in.
Silas, seeing that she had gotten inside, drove off.
"Time to go home."
CHAPTER END.
