Jay's POV
I was really that my plan to participate with Keifer turned successful, but I did not know how he will react, hoping he will not have much reaction.
I was going to parking lot to get my car after the classes were over, That is when I saw Keifer walking out of the campus alone, I couldn't miss this opportunity, so I ditched my car and hopped to join him.
I finally went beside him and started talking
Jay: "Hiii" I said enthusiastically
He was a little startled
Keifer: "What are you doing here?"
Jay: "Walking home"
Keifer: "Nice try, I saw you coming in car this morning"
Jay: "So, you admire me silently, I didn't know that"
Keifer: " I was just passing by"
Jay: "Whatever makes you sleep at night"
He just nodded his head and I was yapping all the way, he was listening and sometimes giving me one words answers which was huge coming from him.
Suddenly a car went by fast on side and I was on the side, he quickly grabbed my shoulder and moved me to the other side and his hands were still on me and everything went still around me, because he was looking at me in the eyes
Keifer: "Are you okay?" He asked sincerely with eyes filled with concern
I couldn't answer I just nodded and the car stopped in front of us and a guy got down, and came towards us,
Guy: "Hello, I am Kiko, you Jay Mariano right?"
I just nodded and he came close and was about to hug me and I went behind Keifer and he also move forward shielding me,
Kiko: "Chill, I am the blind date that you Mom you fixed up with and you Mr bodyguard you can move"
Keifer: "I will only move, if she want to" he said in a authorative tone
Kiko: "Come on, Jay don't be shy"
Jay: "I am sorry I am not interested"
He did not get what I was saying and tried to move closer to hold my hand and that's when Keifer shoved his hands and twisted it and
Said, "Learn to respect her, she just said she is not interested, now leave before I break your bones" he finished with a punch on his stomach, He left the place in his fancy car.
Keifer turned towards me, "are you okay?"
I was little startled by all the happening, but o just nodded my head and he was convinced.
Keifer: "Come I will walk you home"
We both started walking towards my house, I was silent while walking which Ofcourse he noticed,
Keifer: "You know it's weird if you go silent for more than 5 minutes"
I understood he was trying to lighten my mood,
Jay: "So you like my yapping"
Keifer: "No, I just said it's weird, by the way why your mom is setting you up on a blind date, you just started college"
Jay: "Well, for starters My Mom only care about money and her new husband and since Dad is not around anymore, she uses me for her purpose"
Keifer: "Where is your dad?"
Jay: "He is no more" I said in a lower tone
Keifer: "I am sorry"
Jay: "It's fine, I am used to it, it's been 3 years"
Keifer: "How do you handle her?"
Jay: "I run away from the house or shut myself in the room"
His expression softened
Keifer: "I am really sorry and if anyone try to torture you, call me" he said genuinely
And that's when I realised I have fallen in Love with the right man.
I wanted to lighten the mood so
Jay: "Ofcourse, who else would I go to you are my future boyfriend" I said while grinning
He nodded his head and we reached my house while having these banter,
Jay: "So, this is my house, I would invite you inside but even I don't feel welcome in this house"
He nodded and bid bye and turned to leave and I called him, "Keifer" he turned to meet my sudden hug, he was shocked by my action
After a min, he hugged me lightly and I said, "Thanks for today" he nodded and I pulled away and bid bye and I called him again,
He turned again, but I just smiled and said
"I love you"
KEIFER's POV:
I don't know why I was protective over her, but when that boy came to touch her, I snapped because i did not like the thought of being uncomfortable, and shoved that guy, I could notice she was little startled by the happening
So I decided to lighten her mood,
When we started talking only I realised what she had went through, and I don't know why I said that "I am really sorry and if anyone try to torture you, call me" but I really meant because I do not want her to in such situation and do not have someone to support her or protect her" and we talked did not know when we reached her house.
When she hugged me suddenly I did not know what happened, but everything around me stopped and what I did next was more shocking to, I hugged her back, that is probably because after listening to what she had went through, nothing else I convinced myself.
Then she called me again and said, " I love you" she has already said this before but I was speechless when she said, probably because I stared at her face too long and left the place with replying, I should not entertain her anymore.
