Jay's POV:
Today I was excited and scared at the same time because I received a text from David saying he has registered Keifer and my name for the event and they will come for confirmation during our club hours, so yeah when they come it will be a total surprise for Keifer. Hopeful he just say, "Tss, fine"
But I was little confident that David was helping me, because he is the only person with whom Keifer had actual conversations.
It was time for our club, I entered the room and as expected he was standing in front and o smiled at him, he did not return it which was usual but it seemed like he did not acknowledge me, I ignored and sat in the front seat and he started talking about the club programmes and other stuff and in the middle when I tried to flirt with him, he just ignored me and went on and I got angry on him.
The club hour was about to be over and that when a guy entered, David gave me a signal indicating that he was the cultural secretary, I suddenly remembered the event and the Plan, which I totally forgot because he was ignoring me.
Secretary guy: "Hello, Keifer"
Keifer: "Hello, what brings you here?"
S: "I am here for the freshers event confirmation"
Keifer: "Yeah, about that I know every president has to participate but I don't want to, is there something you can do?"
S: "But your name and Jasper Jean Mariano name is already submitted"
Keifer: "What, I did not submit any name"
S: "Sorry bro, you have to participate, it's the rule, you can't do anything"
Keifer: "Okay" he nodded and sent him off
And continued with the club speech and the club meeting ended, did he just really was okay with participating, I thought I had to convince him.
Everyone left and I was also about to leave when he called my name,
"Wait, Jay Jay"
I turned to him, but he had an expressionless face
Jay: "What?"
Keifer: "Did you register our names for the event?"
Jay: "Well, technically I didn't, but does it matter, you have to participate anyways" I said with a grin
Keifer: "That's is my decision to take not yours"
Jay: "well as your future girlfriend, I have all the rights"
Keifer: "Just stop with this nonsense already, how many times do I have to say that to you" he said in a stern voice and I flinched and tears started to form in my eyes, but I did not cry, I just couldn't believe that this was the same guy who said, to call him if I faced any problem and I just said,
"Sorry, If possible I will try to withdraw my name" I said and ran from that place. But I know I couldn't withdraw my name anymore, but I will handle it later.
Keifer's POV:
I decided to ignore her for her own and myself because i felt myself getting too close with her especially after the hug, I cannot afford to fall in love right now, I have to focus.
Today we had club meeting and I ignored her the whole meeting when she tried to flirt with me, I thought it would be easy for her to move on if I did not pay any attention to her.
The meeting was about to end, when the cultural secretary informed me about the Jay and my name being registered together, I know she would have done and I got angry
Thinking how could she do such things without my knowledge.
I stopped her while she was leaving, I shouted at her and I regretted it immediately when I saw her flinch and tears forming in her eyes.
The same eyes I said I will be there when she someone tortures her, but now I am the reason for her condition right now, she left after saying sorry, while I stood there with regret.
David: "Are you out of your mind? Why did you shout at her? Anyway you have to participate so why can't you do it with her?" David shouted at me
Keifer: "First thing I was not interested, secondly I did not want to give her any hope but I got carried away and shouted I shouldn't have done that"
David: "Dude, it's is not your right to decide whether she love you or anyone else first get that in you mind and secondly apologise to her, Do you know how excited she was to participate with you, even though she had stage fear, she wanted to participate just for you"
It stung me when David said she wanted to participate for me while having stage fear. I shouldn't have done that, I have hurt her feelings while she is already facing a lot at home. I felt really guilty and I ran out to see if she was still there but her car was not there in the parking lot
I have to apologise to her tomorrow and make it up to her.
The next day, I got ready and went to college and I was waiting for break to go meet her and apologise and finally break came and I went to cafeteria to look for her but she was not there and I went to the library to check she was there, but she wasn't and lastly I went to the empty basketball court, I finally found her sitting there looking lost and I felt guilty because I was the reason behind and she finally noticed me looking at her and stood up from her seat
Jay: "Sorry, I will leave" she said and I moved and held her hand and said, "Wait"
