"Young Master, I've been tasked to pick you up."
Kaden and Emma just stood there, frozen, when a man arrived at Emma's doorstep because they didn't understand a single word he was saying.
Looking like someone in his late twenties, he wore all black; black jeans, a black shirt, a black jacket, and even a black hat that made him seem intimidating. The man just stood there, not moving at all.
"Who… are you?" Emma asked, her voice small as she tried to hide Kaden behind her. But Kaden peeked out from the side, curious.
"I'm Mr. Romano's appointed bodyguard," the man said, "and I've been tasked with picking up the Young Master. Since Ms. Leclair will be away at the conference for four days, he figured the Young Master would need someone to keep him company."
Emma looked super confused. "Young Master…? Mr. Romano…?"
"Is he Mommy's boss?" Kaden chirped in his high little voice, clutching onto Emma's pajama pants with his tiny hands.
"Yes," the man replied.
