The four of us enter the aquarium. The bright blue light illuminating our faces. Multiple species of fish swimming just behind a large pane of glass.
"Amazing..." I say, amazed by the fish.
Carla is just as amazed as I am, Yuki barely changes her expression, and Yui has his eyes wide open.
We start walking towards the different types of fish. Carla and Yui are talking to each other and during their conversation, I tap Yuki's shoulder.
"Hmm?" Yuki looks at me puzzled.
"Let's leave those lovebirds alone shall we? They deserve it after being separated for so long." I say, looking at how happy Carla looks.
"...sure" Yuki says.
We both start walking around the aquarium, now separated from Carla and Yui. Not too far away but just enough to keep an eye on them.
"Do you like Yui? Not just as a friend." I ask Yuki.
Yuki flinches because of the question. "Why're you asking?"
"You're clenching your fist as if you're suppressing your jealousy." I say, pointing towards her clenched fist.
Surprised I noticed her clenched fist, she says, "Fine... yes I do. Is there a problem?"
"To put it bluntly, Yui's being stalked." I say.
"What?! Who?!" Yuki says, finally changing her expression for the first time.
"I dont know, but I saw someone stalking him earlier."
"So what will we do?"
"I'll take care of it, just tell Carla and Yui that I had to do something real quick." I say, determined to handle it myself.
"...alright. Stay safe." Yuki says.
"I will." I reassure her.
Yuki returns to the group. I start walking around, trying to find Sayaka. It didn't take that long as it's easy to differentiate a side character from a background character. I start walking towards her, she's completely focused on Yui.. She's actually really pretty, she was a fan-favorite character in the anime because of her looks and her yandere personality.
"Hey, are you planning to ask them something?" I ask her in a light tone.
"E-Eh? Uhhh..." Sayaka is surprised by my sudden appearance.
"Or are you stalking them? I change my tone to a more menacing one.
"N-No! I-I was planning to ask them w-where the restroom is." She says, it's pretty obvious that she's lying.
"Oh! If so then just go straight then to the left, I'm with them you see, stalker." I say/
"W-What, I'm not a stalker!" She says loudly.
"I'm just kidding." I say pretending to play it off.
"O-Oh, haha..." she awkwardly laughs.
"So are you going to the bathroom?" I ask, knowing that she doesn't even need to go.
"Y-Yeah!" She says as she awkwardly walks away.
I watch her awkwardly walk away, following her.
"W-Why're you following me?" She asks.
"Just making sure you're actually going, after all... the group earlier are my friends. You should've known that because you saw me with them at the entrance." I say, letting her know that I knew she was stalking us.
"A-Ah! Uhh... sorry..." she lowers her head.
I look at her with killing intent, I raise my hand. Sayaka just keeps her head lowered, expecting me to hit her...
I pat her head.
"H-Huh?" She says, surprised by my actions.
I continue to pat her head. "It's fine, Yui is a good person so it's understandable why you'd fall for him."
"So will you-"
"No." I interrupt her.
"I won't help you, Yui..." I look at Carla from afar holding Yui's hand. "...already has someone." I say.
"He has a girlfriend?" She asks.
"Not necessarily... but its pretty obvious that he likes someone." I say.
"So why can't I just steal his heart before he ends up with that person?" She asks me again with more aggression.
"It's fate, they're meant to be together." I say, I knew how the story would go, Carla and Yui ends up together and married, that's how its meant to be.
"Fate is just a superstition. I don't believe that idea at all. I believe fate is only for losers, losers who dont want to work hard, losers who believe there it is only up to an idea we dont know whether or not it even exists, that's why I believe on myself over fate, because I know, at least I exist." She says with conviction in her voice.
"T-That... actually sounded cool. Im surprised you can say something like that." I say genuinely impressed.
"E-Eh? Im not that incompetent... and why are you talking like you know me?"
"No reason." I say calmly. After hearing her words, I realize that maybe I shouldn't try sticking with the story. I myself is already an anomaly, so why don't I try to change fate myself as well? But... am I even worthy enough to do so?
"Fine... I'll try to help you." I say to Sayaka.
"R-Really?" She says.
"Yes."
