He hadn't heard everything the old woman had said earlier. But the hallway was eerily silent when he walked by and heard the latter bits of her speech.
It sounded as horrible as she looked. An old lady who tried to look important and self-righteous when she's clearly in the wrong.
Aurora didn't understand why he insisted she wasn't fine. She wasn't physically hurt. The words the old lady said did bring some pain in her chest, but it wasn't as overwhelming as before, now that he has arrived.
To this point, Aurora realized that Caesar was like a tall fortress she could rely on.
No, she shouldn't think like that. But she couldn't help it. He had saved and helped her three times now. The first time was when she collapsed, and following that, he had been there when she was in a terrible state.
