Chapter 30 - you're going to destroy

Yuna:

The room went quiet after Ethan's words.

"I don't love you… but I desire you."

For a moment my chest hurt, but strangely… I wasn't as broken as he expected.

I looked at him for a long second, then I let out a small breath.

"So that's your answer?"

Ethan didn't reply. His dark eyes were watching me carefully, like he was waiting for me to run away.

But I didn't.

Instead, I slowly sat back down beside him.

"You think that will make me leave?" I said softly.

His brows pulled together slightly.

"Yuna—"

"You don't have to love me back."

He froze.

I continued quietly,

"You don't have to say the words. You don't have to promise anything."

My fingers lightly touched the blanket near his hand.

"You can desire me… just like before."

Ethan stared at me like he couldn't believe what I was saying.

"Do you even hear yourself?" he said under his breath.

"Yes."

My heart was beating faster now, but I didn't look away.

"You think I stayed all night because I wanted a perfect love story?"

He didn't answer.

"I stayed because you matter to me," I said.

"And if all you can give me right now is your desire…"

My voice softened.

"Then I'll take that."

Ethan's jaw tightened.

"You're playing with fire."

"Maybe."

Silence stretched between us again.

The air felt heavy, almost electric.

Ethan tried to sit up slightly but the pain in his shoulder made him wince.

"See?" I said quietly. "You can't even move properly."

He looked irritated.

"Go back to your room."

"No."

"Yuna."

"No."

Before he could say anything else, I suddenly leaned forward and grabbed the collar of his shirt.

His eyes widened slightly.

"Yuna, what are you—"

I pulled him toward me.

And kissed him.

This time it wasn't hesitant.

It was deep.

Passionate.

Everything I had been holding back poured into that moment.

Our tongues pours each other mouth.

For a second Ethan froze completely.

Then he reacted.

His hands grabbed my shoulders, trying to push me away.

"Yuna—stop—"

But I didn't.

I kissed him again, refusing to move back.

My fingers tightened in his shirt.

Ethan tried to push me away again, but the movement pulled his injured shoulder and he groaned softly.

Still, he tried.

"You shouldn't—"

I kissed him again before he could finish.

His breathing became heavier.

"Yuna…" he warned quietly.

But I could feel his resistance weakening.

His grip on my shoulders slowly changed.

From pushing…

to holding.

The tension between us snapped.

Suddenly Ethan pulled me closer and kissed me back.

Harder.

Deeper.

He bit me in my lips, the blood comes out my lips. He breaks the kiss and touches my lips and licks my blood. He kissed me back again.

The kiss became intense, almost desperate.

For a moment everything else disappeared.

The danger.

The wounds.

The arguments.

Nothing mattered except the heat between us.

When we finally broke apart, both of us were breathing heavily.

Ethan's forehead rested against mine.

His voice came out low and rough.

"You're going to destroy me one day."

I whispered softly,

"Then stop pretending you don't want me."

His dark eyes searched mine again.

This time…

He didn't deny it.
