Nyssa's brows raised in confusion. "You…wanted to die?"
"Yes," Aveline answered unblinkingly.
Nyssa stepped back a little. "W..why? I mean…everyone loved you."
Aveline finally blinked, "My life wasn't about me anymore. It was about others," she turned her face back to what she was stroking on the ground, "I just left my earthly vessel. I still watched over them and sometimes granted their wishes…if I pleased."
"That's why…you were worshipped," Nyssa's face brightened in realization.
Aveline shrugged.
Nyssa, then took courage and walked closer to her, "H…how did you come about those titles? History only said you were called those but never said why."
Aveline stopped stroking and then sat on the floor, with a beam, "Intrigued now, aren't you? Don't you want to go to your place of rest?"
Nyssa looked away, "I … don't know. I'm kind of regretting dying…because I promised someone I would live."
Aveline smirked, "Oren, isn't it?"
