As Michael descended the stairs, he noticed Felix ascending them. Felix halted his steps upon seeing Michael.
'Michael, are you leaving?' Felix enquired.
Michael offered a curt nod, his expression unreadable. He strode purposefully towards the coffee table in the living room, his eyes scanning the surface. A sigh escaped his lips as he realised his car keys were missing.
But then, a glint of metal caught his eye. There, nestled amongst the sleek black remote controls and a single, folded magazine in the woven leather basket on the coffee table, lay his car keys. He reached for the basket and retrieved them with a sigh.
Glancing at Felix, who had just declined a phone call, Michael paused for a moment before asking, 'Mind joining me at the office?'
'We should go. Perhaps it will help us blow off some steam,' Felix sighed. 'You go ahead first... I have something to attend to before heading to the office.' It seemed that Felix had suddenly remembered he needed to visit a florist shop to purchase a large bouquet of flowers for Chioma. He wanted to surprise her with a gift for the weekend.
Without uttering a word, Michael turned and strode out. Sliding behind the wheel of his gleaming gold Lamborghini, he slammed the door shut. Gripping the steering wheel, he drove off into the radiant sunlight.
Meanwhile, miles away, Audrey expertly maneuvered her car through bustling streets, with Celine chattering excitedly beside her. They were both eagerly anticipating their shopping spree. After quickly changing outfits at home, they would be heading out immediately for their Saturday shopping. Audrey planned to shop solo for some items, while Celine couldn't wait to go shopping with Prince. The thought of their upcoming excursion brought a sweet smile to Celine's face as Audrey drove them home.
Celine's phone buzzed with a message from Prince, prompting a wide smile to bloom on her face. She stole a glance at Audrey, who remained focused on the road, before discreetly tapping out a reply, her fingers flying across the screen. The anticipation of meeting Prince later only heightened her excitement for the day.
