Tan sneered as he wiped the blood on his hands with pure disgust. He glared at the unrecognizable corpse of a Crokun. Its body is filled with rotting flesh and green fluids, with gaping jaws, exposed organs, and maggots wriggling around an empty eye socket.
His gaze fell on the saviors he had captured. They all had powers; however, he was not certain which one had healing powers. Taking out a cigar, he lit it and puffed out rings of smoke in exhaustion.
He scanned the littered environment, strewn with Crokun corpses.
"Let us out, a red-haired man yelled. The man was wondering why their savior had placed them in a different transparent box like animals.
Tan smoked his cigar as he gave the man a fleeting glance, like he was looking at the dead Crokun earlier.
Thankfully, his boss had invented a disability collar to avoid unwanted confrontation. The metal collar was a masterpiece, perfect for capturing elementists or any powered creature around the solar system.
His boss is really a monster to be able to take on the fury of the entire solar system for creating a weapon against celestial beings.
Tan had a few men in black pullovers with chains tied tightly around their waist, pulling in the captured elementist in a solid glass box into the spacecraft behind them.
Vist was now screaming and pounding the glass with all his strength, only to realize that a collar was strapped to his neck. It was beeping and tightening around his neck, as if it had its own awareness.
"Keep trying to use your power, and you will end up killing yourself.
Vist turned to Carl, who was trapped in another glass box. The young man looked exhausted, with the power-suppression collar on his neck, too.
"How did you know?' Vist demanded. Fear of the unknown has crept into his body. First was the Crokuns; now, a fellow human has captured them for who knows what.
As Vist laments on his misfortunes, Carl has his eyes on Tan.
The familiarity, the nostalgia. He couldn't shake it off.
He wanted to reach out. To hold him and bury himself in his strong arms.
Carl knew that history would repeat itself if he got involved with Tan again… in this life.
He shifted his gaze away. In this life, he will willingly allow himself to be Bram's sacrifice to save everyone.
Some of his teammates were still unconscious. Vist was busy snarling at one of the men, who chuckled and called him cute.
The spacecraft closed as Tan and his men disappeared into the control room.
Somehow, Carl can't shake the feeling that this life would be much more tragic than the last one.
......….
Azran Planet,1203
The Federation Medical Lab.
Bram frowned in dissatisfaction as he observed the changes in the petri dish. Other scientists stood rigidly as cold sweat dripped down their foreheads.
"I always have a feeling that Zick's blood will be useless, but not to the extent that it can't fight against a common bacterium.
With a sigh, he stood up. "Take that filth away from my lab. Do with him what you wish.
He walked away feeling exhausted.
The Crokun will soon spread to this side of the galaxy, and he was not ready to look like a mother hen running around with two children around his hip.
One is useful, the other is...
Maybe he should make it look like an accident. It will be an embarrassment for his own flesh and blood to be consumed by a Crokun.
With such vicious thoughts, he reached the door to his office.
'Oh, that's right. I have a visitor today.
He pushed the glass door open. Recently, his eyes have suddenly become painful. Maybe it's too much to use that serum. A drop in his eyes is enough to give him a little sight for a month. However, the serum was already losing its effects.
'Damnit.
Bram cursed as he walked into his office. Suddenly, he paused in pure shock.
"What the hell?' Bram growled in vigilance.
A familiar figure sat quietly on a sofa, watching with empty eyes.
The memory of an arrogant, scheming boy filled his mind. Running his mouth at kids bigger and stronger than him. He was smart, vindictive, and very selfish.
Nuit Ashford.
That once sunny boy, with plain black hair, delicate features, beautiful doe eyes, with rosy cheeks and red lips, was nothing like what sat before Bram's eyes.
Nuit was heavily pregnant; his stomach looked like it was about to explode. His eyes have sunk inside, his skin too pale from being confined for too long, his figure thin and skeletal. He was like a living ghost.
"Long time no see, cousin,' The voice was terribly hoarse.
But Bram doesn't give a fuck what Nuit looked like now. What he cared about the most was how the lunatic found him. If Nuit can find him, then what about the others?
Nuit Ashford knew what this devil was thinking about. After all, Bram had once experienced what he had gone through. The only difference was that Bram got wise and escaped with his children, while he stayed in the name of love.
Thinking about it was traumatizing. But using his past life memories, he was able to locate Bram as soon as possible.
"How in the galaxy did you manage to find me?' Bram decided to keep calm. "I thought you would never leave the love of your life.
"I must say that was stupid of me, but now I want to experience the test of power like my dear cousin,' Nuit smirked gently.
Bram frowned. To say he was shocked would be an understatement. The Nuit he knew back in the academy was a very prideful and egotistical lunatic. He was impulsive and very vengeful.
Though they both married into a powerful and mysterious household, even until now, he still hasn't scratched the surface of uncovering what a deadly household they married into.
They were treated as breeding cattle. Expect Bram's husband disliked him. Bram didn't see his face even after the wedding, and he didn't see it when the man raped him. That's when he decided to disappear with his children for his plans.
"Nuit, I have no idea why you are here or what you want, but you need to leave,' Bram glared at him.
Nuit knew Bram was never one to have a heart for anything. Heck, the devil used his own children as a meat shield in his last life.
Nuit looked down at his bloated stomach. Disgust washed over him.
"I am heavily pregnant, and you want to send me back to the wolves?' Nuit raised an eyebrow.
"You loved that wolf, remember?' Bram stated as a matter of fact. "You stabbed me in the back just so you could please that motherfucker.
Nuit flinched slightly. Yeah, he was a fool to do such a thing back then.
"Would you believe me if I told you I went through a rebirth.
Bram paused. He bit his lips, a smile curling up. "In this time and age, such things are common. Did my cousin rise from the ashes to warn me of the impending doom?
Nuit gave him a deadpanned expression.
Bram laughed loudly. "Oh, my sweet, sweet cousin, do you know what happens to people who have gone through a rebirth?
Nuit swallowed. Of course, he knew. He would be hunted by the Sun Celestials and reduced to nothing but ashes. That was another reason he sought to find his all-powerful cousin to prevent another death and also terminate the abomination he carries within him.
