It's almost afternoon, and my stomach is growling with hunger, my throat parched with thirst.
A few minutes passed as I gazed out the window when I heard a noise coming from outside the door.
I turned to look, and it seemed like someone was unlocking the door and about to enter my room.
When the door opened, I expected a servant to enter with food. But when I saw the person who came in, anger surged in my chest.
What was she doing in my room now? Maybe she came to see me writhing in pain from hunger.
"Why are you looking at me like that, Livia? Aren't you happy to see your sister?" she asked, her tone taunting, as she walked over to a single couch and sat down.
She crossed her legs and arms, her confidence and mocking gaze making her look like the owner of the room and the entire pack house. She sat like a queen. I wanted to approach her and hurt her now.
My hands itched to slap her. She had committed too many wrongs against me. Because of her lies, I'm suffering now, and I'm almost begging everyone to believe me.
"Why would I be happy? Who are you to me that I'd greet you with a smile? You're just an adoptee, a tag-along here," I said boldly. And because of my words, the smile on her lips immediately disappeared. She stood up, her eyes flashing with anger.
"Shut up!" she shouted.
"Why? Don't you like what I'm saying?" I smiled at her, but it was sarcastic. "Don't be hurt by what I'm saying, Amber, because it's all true. You're just a tag-along, an adoptee!" I emphasized each word, my anger boiling over.
She glared at me and quickly approached me. The moment she reached me, her palm landed on my cheek, something I expected to happen. The slap was strong, and my head turned slightly.
"Tag-along? Adoptee?" she asked, her voice rising. I looked at her, and saw the mocking grin playing on her lips again. "At least the woman you're calling a tag-along and adoptee is given attention and loved by everyone," she continued, her eyes scanning me from head to toe with a mocking stare.
"Unlike you, who's been abandoned by everyone, especially your husband." She laughed after saying that, which made my blood boil.
"Because you're a manipulator!" I shouted and pushed her slightly. "You took everything from me, Amber! You manipulated everyone here, especially Aldrake! Why, Amber, were you really lacking in love that you were willing to take someone else's husband?"
"I didn't take anything from you, Livia! They all willingly gave it to me, including Aldrake's attention, trust, and even love--" she said, but I didn't let her finish.
My palm landed on her cheek with a loud raspy slap, and she fell to the ground in shock and disbelief. I couldn't believe I had slapped her either. It was the first time I had ever done that.
But now I realized how good it felt to unleash my anger on someone who had wronged me for so long. I felt satisfied with the strength of the slap I gave her, and I hoped it would wake her up from her delusions.
"How dare you!" she shouted at me.
"That's not enough for what you've done to me, Amber. One slap isn't enough for all the lies you've spread about me!" I shouted back. She stood up and charged at me, grabbing my hair. But I didn't back down. I grabbed her hair too, pulling it hard, hoping it would come out of her scalp.
"Btch! You dare to hurt me? I won't let you go until I've pulled out all your hair!" She kept pulling my hair harshly, but I didn't give in. I doubled my strength, matching hers. "Same here, btch! I've been holding back for a long time, so don't think I'll let you win!"
"If Aldrake finds out, he'll surely sue you!". She threatened.
"That's what I want to happen! Do you think I'm still afraid of him finding out that I'm hurting you? F*ck you, because I no longer feel fear towards him, only anger and hatred!"
With those words, I used all my strength to knock her down. I succeeded, and she fell to the ground, with me sitting on her stomach, still holding her hair tightly.
"Ouch! Let go--Argh!" she cried.
"I won't, until I see all your hair pulled out from your scalp!" I felt she release my hair, and then she started hitting me. But I didn't feel the pain; instead, I focused on pulling out her hair.
When she realized I wouldn't back down, she tried to push me off her. But I didn't stop there. I started slapping her face, and she blocked each slap with her arms.
I was furious with her. I wanted to make her face red and swollen. I wouldn't stop until I saw blood.
"Stop! Please let go!" she begged, crying. I didn't hear her. My vision was blurry, and all I saw was blood. I was consumed by anger. I want blood!!.
"Ahhh! Help! Aldrake, please help me!" she screamed.
I laughed and bit her arm deeply, making her shout in pain. Lilly was using her full strength, trying to take over, but I was stronger now. I felt an unusual strength in my body due to my anger.
"Livia, unleash me now! I want to k*ll that bitch!" Lilly's orders still echoed in my mind, but my ears were now closed off to everything except the primal urge that consumed me.
The only thing that mattered was seeing blood, feeling the rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins.
"Arrghh!!! Stop!!" Her screams, her tears, were music to my ears. The sound of her desperation was intoxicating, fueling my rage.
I wanted to hear more, so I bit deeper into her arm, making her shout even louder - loud enough for the entire pack house to hear. And just as I had anticipated, the door to my room burst open with a loud crash.
"Oh my gosh!! Amber!!" someone exclaimed, the horror and shock evident in their voice.
The scene unfolding before them was one of pure chaos - Amber's terrified screams, her pleas for mercy, and my unrelenting grip, my teeth sunk deep into her flesh.
The sight would be enough to make anyone's blood run cold.
