[Limitless Technique Lv.2 (1/300): Interferes with matter at the atomic level to dominate space. Objects approaching the user become increasingly slower, essentially never being able to touch the user.]
A flood of information surged into his mind, and Aurelius Viremont's proficiency with the Limitless Technique skyrocketed.
While the original Limitless had an effective range of about $5$ cm from his body, the Lv.2 upgrade doubled this distance. Now, the maximum range of his neutral barrier reached $10$ cm!
Furthermore, since the Limitless Technique serves as the foundation for both Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue and Cursed Technique Reversal: Red, both techniques received a significant boost in power. Not only was the activation speed faster, but their destructive output was also substantially enhanced.
If he were to strike Abomination with "Red" now, it would likely pierce straight through the monster's chest and abdomen instantly, rather than needing to blast him thousands of meters away before achieving a total breach.
After finalizing the price for Abomination and Hulk with Nick Fury, Aurelius Viremont waited patiently. During the thirty minutes he spent waiting, not a single armed soldier dared to approach. They monitored him from a distance, and even the fearless General Ross held back.
Through the ordeal of hunting Hulk, Ross had realized the gap in their power. Facing Aurelius Viremont—who was even more formidable than Hulk—Ross wasn't foolish enough to waste more of his men's lives for nothing.
Hidden in the shadows, the local mutants were overwhelmed with emotion. They stared fixatedly at the white-haired figure in the center of the ruins. To them, he was their God.
The God of Mutants!
For so long, mutants had been oppressed, hidden, and subjected to inhumane experiments. Now, they finally had someone who made them stand tall. Just by standing there, hundreds of fully armed troops didn't dare move forward, and not a single missile was launched. They knew such attacks were useless and would only provoke the White Demon into slaughtering them all.
S.H.I.E.L.D. moved quickly. Before long, a Quinjet descended from the distance. The leader of the tactical team was a familiar face: Agent Coulson. Standing behind him was a man clutching a bow—judging by his appearance, it was Hawkeye, Clint Barton.
Hawkeye looked at the white-haired man with intense curiosity, then scanned the surroundings, his eyes lingering on the massive, kilometer-long trench. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed that such a slender-looking man could contain such terrifying, colossal energy.
Aurelius Viremont ignored Hawkeye and spoke directly to Coulson:
"Hulk and Abomination are right there. Take over. Remember to use Adamantium or Vibranium to restrain them; otherwise, it'll be nearly impossible to keep them contained."
Coulson watched Aurelius Viremont talk about the two monsters as if they were mundane trade goods and offered a bitter smile. The White Demon was truly frightening.
His appearance had undeniably shattered the balance between mutants and ordinary humans. From a strictly Earth-centric perspective, neither he nor Director Fury wanted such a powerful mutant to exist. But looking at the broader universe, Aurelius Viremont's existence was indispensable. They knew that more brilliant—and dangerous—civilizations existed in the cosmos; Earth was just a remote corner that could be extinguished at any moment.
Once he finished his instructions, Aurelius Viremont said to Coulson:
"Agent Coulson, remember to deposit the $200$ million into my account. I'm taking off!"
Without waiting for a reply, a surge of azure cursed energy enveloped Aurelius Viremont. He pushed off the ground, leaping toward a nearby skyscraper. Using the walls as leverage, he vanished in the blink of an eye.
Aurelius Viremont wasn't worried about S.H.I.E.L.D. stiffing him on the payment. These agents were smart, and Nick Fury was even smarter. They wouldn't make such a stupid mistake.
As Aurelius Viremont departed, Coulson pressed his earpiece to report to Nick Fury, then glanced at Hawkeye.
"Agent Barton, what do you think of him?"
Hawkeye was still staring at the spot where Aurelius Viremont had vanished. The wall Aurelius Viremont had used to leap from was covered in a network of jagged, deep cracks. After a long silence, Barton spoke:
"It's hard to imagine that level of power belongs to a human. It's so terrifying it feels surreal. It makes me wonder what the point of my decades of hard training even was. If I fought him, I'd probably be killed instantly without any chance to resist."
He paused, looking at his bow. "My style relies on specialized arrows. The White Demon's speed is so high my eyes can barely track him, let alone hit him. And even if I did land a shot... that defense..."
Coulson patted Barton on the shoulder, offering comfort: "You're already very strong, Agent Barton. After all, there is only one White Demon in this world."
"Yeah... only one."
On the rooftop, Tony Stark was waiting. When Aurelius Viremont returned, Tony circled him curiously, scanning him with the laser sensors in his suit's eyes.
"How did you do it? How can you win so easily against those two monsters? Are you even human?" Tony finally blurted out the question.
Aurelius Viremont smiled. "Tony, the world is vast and full of wonders. Even I am not the strongest right now. On Earth alone, there are many people more powerful than me. The Dark Phoenix, the Sorcerer Supreme... you need to broaden your horizons."
"Really?" Tony questioned, but seeing the smile on Aurelius Viremont's face, his expression gradually turned serious. He finally realized the world wasn't as simple as he had thought. If even Aurelius Viremont wasn't the strongest, what kind of power did those others possess?
"Wait... Sorcerer?" Tony asked. "You mean Earth has wizards? People who cast spells?"
"Of course!"
Tony was stunned yet again. Then, recalling Aurelius Viremont's previous words, he asked, "You said you aren't their match now. Will you win in the future?"
"I'll win."
The same words Satoru Gojo once spoke, delivered with the same absolute confidence. However, Aurelius Viremont, equipped with his system, was destined for a different ending.
He! Aurelius Viremont! Does not intend to be cut in half!
Meanwhile, as Coulson was transporting Bruce Banner and Abomination back to the Helicarrier, a new command came through his earpiece from Nick Fury.
"A strange crater has appeared in New Mexico. There's a hammer sitting in the center that no one can pick up. Agent Coulson, you're in charge of investigating that hammer. I'll definitely give you a vacation after this mission!"
Coulson stroked his thinning hair, hung up the comms, and sighed.
"Sigh... Director Fury, you've said that so many times already."
