There was not a single reason for Daniel to believe anything Ivan said. And yet, one look at those puppy-like eyes made Daniel feel guilty for labeling Ivan as a troublemaker.
It was true that he had not done anything this time. Daniel had been with him this whole time and the one who called the police was the old landlord.
