Chapter 20: She Really... I'm Touched to Tears
"What nerve!" Suyan laughed. Seriously, where does he get the audacity? Since he struck first, Suyan wouldn't be holding back.
[One Inch Punch: Open Sky]
Suyan struck. He struck later, but his fist arrived first. Suyan's punch slammed into Takashi.
Whoosh!
The air around them erupted in a violent gust. Takashi's chest and abdomen caved in and deformed instantly, an invisible shockwave rippled out from the point of impact, sending him flying with a single blow. Before Takashi even had time to realize what happened, he was already on the ground, out cold.
Just a stray by the side of the road. Suyan didn't even have the interest to spare a single glance at the fallen Takashi. He took Saeko's hand. "Let's go."
Rei looked at him with a flicker of worry, but remembering his angry expression when he tried to slap her, she stopped dwelling on it and followed. "Hey, wait for me!"
"Don't worry, I didn't strike with lethal force," Suyan said. It was true; he had held back. Takashi might be able to wait a few months to heal, but the zombie outbreak certainly couldn't. He could pay the damages, but he would never apologize.
"What about you? Is your hand all right?" Rei asked, breathing a huge sigh of relief.
"Do you have some kind of misunderstanding about my strength? Swatting away a fly won't hurt me," Suyan said dismissively.
They left the school together. Rei's eyes were constantly stealing glances at Suyan. She wished she were the one walking next to him.
Shortly after, a club advisor found Takashi lying on the ground, unconscious. A trickle of blood suddenly leaked from the corner of his mouth. His face turned pale from fright; he would never be able to explain himself. He called an ambulance.

"Um... Busujima-senpai, are you and Suyan in a relationship?" Rei asked as they approached a fork in the road.
Saeko shot Rei a meaningful look. Saeko was certain Rei had definitely fallen for him. Rei had a certain light in her eyes. Suyan's actions at the time really were quite handsome, after all.
Saeko instantly decided to give the girl a little push. She shook her head and laughed. "No, we aren't."
"Eh? Really? You're kidding, right?" Rei was shocked. She didn't think Saeko had any reason to lie. If she liked him, it was unlikely she would have answered so decisively without even stealing a glance at him.
Rei lapsed into silence until they reached the crossroads. She suddenly took a deep breath. She walked up and said, "Suyan, thank you for what you did today. I'm really happy."
Then she quickly pecked Suyan on the cheek and bolted down one of the paths. She stopped after a short distance and waved. "Suyan! Even though you have a sharp tongue, you're definitely a good guy!"
Her youthful face was flushed with a rosy glow in the sunset. One could tell her joy came from deep within. Out of sight, she pressed a hand to her chest; her heart was racing. Is this what it feels like to have a crush? She couldn't stop herself from humming a cheerful melody.
Rei bolted, leaving Suyan standing there utterly stunned. Wait, where the hell did my FWB go? Turned into pure love and ran away? Morality is truly in decline these days; people are so heartless.
Saeko had no idea what Suyan was thinking; she assumed he was stunned because he was worried she might be jealous. She hugged him. "Don't worry, Suyan. No matter how many women you have later on, I won't mind."
"Huh?" Suyan blinked. It's not like I ever said I wouldn't have a harem.
Saeko, she really... I'm touched to tears.
