Chapter 22: Capturing Tyrant Alive – Brutal Team Assault
"Remember! Tyrant's vitality is insane. It has terrifying adaptability. The same attack—or even similar ones—will likely become less effective over time, or even completely useless! We have to overwhelm it fast!" Naraku shouted.
Hearing this, Jiraiya and Tsunade felt the situation grow even more troublesome.
As time passed, massive amounts of natural chakra continued pouring into Tyrant. Its body grew steadily larger—from 7 meters tall to 10 meters.
Jiraiya noticed immediately and yelled to Tsunade: "We need to move fast—that thing is getting stronger!"
He turned to Gamabunta: "Use your sword!"
Gamabunta leaped high and swung his massive blade toward Tyrant's neck. At the same time, Tsunade ordered Katsuyu: "Acid attack again!"
This time Tyrant finally showed some awareness. It jumped aside, dodging Gamabunta's slash—but was once again hit by Katsuyu's acid.
Instead of roaring, it fled into the distance.
Tsunade and Jiraiya naturally wouldn't let such a dangerous creature escape. They urged their summons to pursue.
Yet Tyrant seemed to vanish. They had clearly seen it flee into the small forest, but no trace remained.
Logically, a 10-meter-tall creature should be impossible to hide—but atop Gamabunta's head, Jiraiya suddenly felt his hair stand on end!
An extreme sense of danger surged through him, as though a blade hovered above his head, ready to fall at any moment.
Without hesitation, Jiraiya began forming seals.
He channeled chakra into his silver hair, instantly hardening it like iron. The strands wrapped tightly around his body, forming a solid protective shield to brace for the incoming attack.
Gamabunta also sensed something wrong and swung his weapon wildly at the invisible enemy.
But at that instant, Tyrant struck. Its massive claw swung down viciously toward Gamabunta.
Slash! A deep gash appeared on Gamabunta's arm, blood gushing out.
Jiraiya wasn't spared either. Tyrant's claw sent him flying through the air in an arc before he crashed heavily to the ground.
Tsunade's eyes narrowed. Chakra surged wildly within her. She gathered immense power into her fist.
Then she leaped high and unleashed a devastating punch—carrying terrifying force and a piercing sonic boom—straight toward Tyrant's left side.
BOOM! The impact was cataclysmic. Tyrant was blasted away like a cannonball, carving an arc through the air before smashing into the ground dozens of meters away. The earth cratered instantly, dust and debris exploding outward.
Tyrant continued sliding from momentum, snapping thick trees like twigs. Finally it stopped, sprawled pathetically on the ground.
Tsunade's monstrous strength punch had clearly inflicted serious damage.
But she watched in horror as the damn creature's body rapidly regenerated. Its form began blending into the surroundings once again—it was trying to turn invisible.
Just as Tsunade prepared to deliver another punch, Jiraiya called out: "Tsunade—use Katsuyu's mucus to slow it down. I'll attack with Fire Release!"
Katsuyu spat another wave—this time non-corrosive but extremely sticky mucus.
Tyrant struggled violently after being coated. Only then did they realize the monster had been feigning weakness earlier.
"Gamabunta! Toad Oil!" Jiraiya shouted.
Gamabunta wholeheartedly agreed. He had just been slashed on the arm—the pain was unbearable. Now he wanted to roast the monster.
Gamabunta puffed up his cheeks and spat an enormous stream of thick, oil-like toad oil straight at Tyrant.
Jiraiya formed seals and added Fire Release.
Fire Release combined with toad oil produced an even more ferocious blaze.
This was Jiraiya's strongest fire technique: Toad Oil Flame Bullet.
Tyrant roared madly under the terrifying flames. But this time, Jiraiya and Gamabunta endured the discomfort and kept pouring on the pressure.
Gradually, Tyrant's roars grew weaker. Finally its massive body stopped struggling and collapsed to the ground.
Gamabunta emptied every last drop of toad oil from his stomach before Jiraiya slowly ended the Fire Release.
Everyone stared at Tyrant's charred, blackened surface.
Just as Jiraiya prepared to seal the creature, Tsunade stopped him.
She formed seals—Earth Release: Yellow Spring Marsh!
A massive swamp materialized beneath Tyrant, slowly swallowing it.
Half-submerged, Tyrant suddenly revived and began thrashing violently. As it struggled, its charred outer layer sloughed off—revealing fresh new skin beneath.
Tsunade and Jiraiya watched the horrifying regeneration with grim expressions.
They finally understood just how exaggerated Tyrant's vitality and adaptability truly were. With this kind of adaptability, if it lived long enough... could it one day become immune to most nature transformations?
Unable to move freely, Tyrant was trapped. Tsunade and Jiraiya prepared one final assault!
Tsunade's eyes turned cold. She took a deep breath, leaped high, and unleashed another monstrous punch—carrying unparalleled power and speed—straight into Tyrant's left flank! The blow struck like thunder.
At the same time, Jiraiya showed no mercy. He channeled chakra into his hair, letting his white locks grow wildly. He controlled them like spears, drilling straight toward Tyrant's brain.
"Gamabunta!" Jiraiya shouted.
Gamabunta gathered power and swung his long sword with full force.
Three deafening impacts rang out.
Tsunade's fist smashed into Tyrant's left side. The creature's flank instantly shattered like it had been hit by a siege hammer—blood spraying like a fountain in all directions.
Jiraiya's hair spears pierced Tyrant's right side. The tremendous penetrating force tore through skin and muscle, exposing stark white bone in a gruesome display.
Finally, Gamabunta's blade came down with crushing power on Tyrant's head. The strike was so forceful that brain matter was visible beneath the cracked skull.
The scene was utterly brutal and bloody—enough to make one's blood run cold.
Under the relentless barrage, Tyrant finally went still.
Jiraiya quickly applied multiple Five Elements Seals, binding the creature into a scroll.
Tsunade and Jiraiya panted heavily. Katsuyu and Gamabunta exchanged brief greetings with their summoners before returning to the summon realm.
