"It isn't a problem. I wouldn't be drinking your best vintage otherwise." He took a slow, deliberate sip of the champagne, smirking as he set the glass down on the coffee table. "It's unforgivable because despite your best efforts to offend them, the girl still wants to marry you."
"I won't marry her."
"And why not? She's perfectly adequate. You can work something out."
"I thought we had an agreement. If you're going to force me into this, I at least get to choose who I marry. I don't want her, and that is final."
"You d*mn kid! Do you think I'm stupid?!" He slammed his hand down on the armrest. "We agreed on that years ago, and you haven't even attempted to make a choice! I'm letting you live exactly as you please, yet you won't even make an effort to fulfil your end of the bargain!"
