I had a hard time falling asleep. I was tired but somehow I couldn't sleep at all… and so… I slept in for the first time, leaving late for work. Making a run for it.
I knew I shouldn't have stayed!! This is Ruben's and Xavier's fault!!! Dressing up quickly and thankful for mastering my makeup I rushed to leave home, running down the stairs almost falling on the way, since I think I can make it to the next bus if I run.
"Oh? Layna, honey, did you sleep in—" I heard my mom say while I ran out of the house, without eating breakfast and without the lunch she said she would make to help my economy this week after using most of my income on new clothes.
Sorry mom! But my job's on the line! I apologised while I ran. I thankfully made it to the bus, I would still be late but not as late as it could have been. The bad side is that I sweat a lot and suddenly, now that I can calm down… I got mad thinking about how calm she was when the time clearly meant that I was late.
