Chapter 5 - The King of the Clouds

Aryan pulled his matte-black Lamborghini SVJ to a halt in front of 'The Sky-High Towers.' This wasn't just a building; it was the ultimate symbol of status in Haddon City. They say the people who live here don't look at the streets; they look at the clouds.

Aryan stepped out of the car. He was still wearing that same tattered delivery jacket—it was a reminder of the man he used to be.

But the way he walked had changed. The slump in his shoulders was gone, replaced by the steady, heavy stride of a man who owned the pavement he walked on.

"Hey! You can't park that piece of junk here—wait, is that a Lamborghini?" A security guard came rushing over, his face shifting from anger to pure confusion. He looked at Aryan's muddy sneakers and then at the $600,000 car. "Sir, you... you can't leave this here. This is for residents only."

Aryan didn't even look at the man. He pulled a key fob from his pocket and tossed it to the guard. "Park it. And be careful. If I see a single fingerprint on the glass when I come back, I'll buy this entire building just to turn the parking lot into my personal gym."

The guard caught the keys, his jaw hitting the floor. Aryan walked past him toward the private elevators without looking back.

[The Penthouse - 99th Floor]

The elevator doors hissed open, revealing a world that Aryan had only seen in movies. The entire 99th floor belonged to him. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls offered a 360-degree view of the city. Haddon City looked like a toy town from up here.

"System," Aryan whispered. "What's the move?"

[Ding!]

[Mission: Build Your Fortress.]

[Task: Upgrade your lifestyle to match your wealth.]

[Target: Spend $50 Million on personal luxury (Decor, Tech, Security).]

Aryan smirked. He picked up his phone and called the top interior design firm in the country. "I want the best designers in my penthouse in one hour. Money is no object. Work starts today."

Within the hour, the penthouse was crawling with suit-clad designers and luxury furniture dealers. Aryan didn't look at price tags. He pointed at things like a kid in a candy store.

"That Italian marble? Rip out the current floor and put that in. This 110-inch micro-LED screen? I want one in every room. And the security system? I want it so tight that a fly can't enter without my permission."

The head designer's hand was shaking as he added up the total. "Sir... the materials alone are $45 million. With the rush installation fee, it's exactly $50 million."

Aryan handed over the black titanium card.

"Swipe it. Get to work."

[Ding!]

[Luxury Upgrade Completed!]

[Spend: $50,000,000.00]

[Current Multiplier: 15x]

[Congratulations! You have received $750,000,000.00 Cashback!]

[New Balance: $1,306,765,012.45]

Aryan was now a billionaire. 1.3 Billion Dollars. He felt a rush of power so strong it almost made him dizzy. But he hadn't forgotten why he was doing this. He opened a contact he hadn't touched since the rain. Steve.

He typed a simple message: "The Penthouse, Sky-High Towers. 9 PM. Throwing a party for old times' sake. Don't be late."

[The Party - 9:00 PM]

By nightfall, the penthouse was glowing like a diamond. The elite of Haddon City were there—CEOs, models, and influencers—all wondering who the mysterious new owner was. Aryan stood on the balcony, now dressed in a $10,000 tailored suit. He looked like a god among men.

Then, the doors opened. Steve and Maya walked in. Steve was wearing his usual arrogant smirk, and Maya was in that same red dress she wore the night she left Aryan in the mud. They thought they were being invited to a party by some legendary billionaire.

"God, Maya, can you believe this place?" Steve bragged, trying to act like he belonged. "This guy is even richer than my old man."

Maya's eyes were wide with greed. She was already scanning the room for the host.

Aryan stepped out of the shadows. The crowd went silent.

"Welcome, Steve. Welcome, Maya," Aryan said, swirling a glass of expensive vintage wine.

Steve's face went ghostly white. "Aryan? What the hell? Are you working here as a waiter now?" He tried to laugh, but the sound died in his throat when he saw the guests bowing to Aryan.

Aryan didn't laugh. He raised his hand, and the music stopped. "Everyone, look at these two. This is Steve. He told me I wasn't even worth the price of a decent umbrella. And this is Maya... my ex. She told me I would never be anyone."

The crowd started whispering, their looks of respect turning into glares of disgust toward the couple. Steve panicked. "Aryan, stop the act. Whose house is this?"

"Mine," Aryan said, his voice as cold as a grave. "This building, this party, and the company that just crushed your father's stock... it's all mine."

Maya rushed forward, trying to grab Aryan's arm. "Aryan... honey, I knew you had it in you! That night was just a misunderstanding. Steve forced me to say those things!"

Aryan stepped back as if her touch was poisonous. "Honey? Misunderstanding?"

He signaled a waiter. The waiter brought over a small, dirty velvet box. Inside was that cheap silver ring, still covered in dried mud.

Aryan dropped the ring into Steve's champagne glass. "Keep it, Steve. Because by tomorrow morning, my lawyers will have frozen your family's last remaining assets. This piece of cheap silver might be the only thing you have left to sell for food."

"You can't do this!" Steve screamed, but the security team—three massive men—grabbed him by the collar.

"Get these beggars out of here," Aryan commanded. "They're polluting the air."

As the guards dragged a screaming Steve and a crying Maya toward the elevator, the elite of the city broke into applause.

Aryan walked back to the glass wall. The city lights twinkled below him.

"Mia's surgery is tomorrow," Aryan whispered to himself. "And after that... I'm going to buy the sun itself."
