"Damn where the hell does she wander off to all the time?" I asked biscuit hoping he'd know he tends to know things he's one of the smarter and friendlier amongst us.
"I don't know she doesn't tell anyone. She comes back covered in engine grease stains and stuff so I assumed she was hanging out in the hanger, but I asked Mr. Nadi however he just said no he hadn't seen her." Said Biscuit
Sigh "Kagura is so weird if you told me she wasn't human I'd believe you." I said tired"
"Now that I think about it she also never stays down for long either. I heard Orga say she recovered in a day after her Alaya-Vijana surgery."
"That's not too bad some of the tougher people tend to recover quick though not that fast." Said Shino
"Shino how dumb can you be?" I said and sighed
"What?" Said Shino
I gave him a deadpan look "Kagura had the surgery 5 times despite the chances of the her surviving it that many times let alone recovering from that in a day isn't normal it's impossible, but she did it. Orga said Mika was down for a week and he got it 3 times." I said exasperated at Shino's stupidity
"Kagura just says she built different, but honestly I don't think even she knows." Said Biscuit shaking his head
"Well regardless of big sis's weirdness and sharp younger she cares and that's what's important." *yawn* "welp we should hit the hey" said Shino he said laying down in his bunk.
I sighed at how simple Shino's thoughts could be sometimes. I layed down myself Biscuit followed shortly after. And I let sleep claim me.
Kagura - pov -
"Big…, Bi… si…, Big sis wake up" said Mika
"Oh." *yawn* "is it time already?" I asked still sleepy.
"Mmm, boss said called for me, you, and Org" said Mika in his usual Monotone voice
"Aight, I'm up let me get dressed I'll be there in a minute" I said grabbing my CGS standard issue coat and throwing it on, and put on my boots. I sleep in my tank top and pants don't want to entice Perv.
Mika was waiting outside the door "so Mika what's Orga planning?" I asked
He looked while we walked "Orga said not to tell you the details not that I was really paying too much attention." Said Mika as listless as ever
"Heh classic you." I said laughing softly
We walked in silence the rest of the way meeting up with Orga along the way. only to hear the Dumbass kissing ass through the door. Disgusting weasel probably sell his own mother if it meant money. Orga knocked on the door.
"You wanted to see us sir?" Said Orga he said with a slight tone of disgust but the dumb ass was too busy being a kiss ass to notice. Hitlerstache and commander doucebag were there too. I saw her Kudelia Aina Bernstein she was shorter than I expected. I started checking her out she's like what 5'3"? I'm starting to wonder if I'm freakishly tall or something I'm around 5'11" maybe 6ft last I checked. Don't really know any girls near my age besides Arata. As snapped out of my thoughts when dumbass started talking
"Yes your company will be bodyguarding Ms. Bernstein and her assistant while she is on base. Ms. Kudelia these three brats are Orga Itsuka, Mikazuki Augus, and the weirdo checking you out is Kagura Nikushimi." Said the Dumbass
Kudelia flinched confused that I was quote checking her out.
"Oi don't act like you wouldn't if she was older." I said back
The adults grimaced at that. Kudelia looked like her brained crashed from that.
*cough* "moving along then Kagura you and Mika show her around the base or whatever." Said dumbass
"Yeah, yeah sure whatever you say… Boss. Alrighty princess come with me. Mika Let's go." I said with quiet obvious disdain for him in my voice with my emphasis on boss. The adults eyes twitched but said nothing as we left the room we
Kudelia seemed to recover from the earlier shock
"Uh…um… yes let's go" she said blushing and clearly confused chasing after us
'Hmmm cute.' I thought
We toured the base with honesty I wasn't paying too much attention to the princess and let Mika do the talking. which in retrospect would probably be a mistake oh well neither of us have tact. The gut feeling I had was still there and but instead of dread like usual I felt… excited. Huh oh Mika seems to have made the princess upset.
"Mika sometimes how honest you are is a problem. *sigh* go help Orga or something I'll take care of it." I said sighing and chasing after her.
She didn't get very far before I caught up to her.
"Alrighty princess what did Mika say that made you cry I mean it was pretty obvious to me he hates you but he doesn't usually go out of his way like that to upset people unlike me"
"I asked him for a handshake and said I wish to be on equal terms with him, but he refused and said we aren't on equal terms" said Kudelia
*sigh* "Mika" I said exasperated "He's right though we're orphans who grew up in slums, on battle fields, or even sold to the PMC as slaves. Were called space trash most, no all of us are uneducated, unlike you. To even get this job we…" I stoped myself. "Are you aware of the alaya vijana system and implants?" I asked looking her dead in the eye.
"Its a special surgery used to increase the ability of pilots in machines that have the compatibility with the system correct?" She said unsure of herself.
*sigh* "he's right you really are naive. The alaya vijana surgery can only be performed on children and in the latest case pre teens otherwise it's a death sentence, not that it's less so at a younger age. All of us child soldiers you want to give rights had to get this hellishly painful surgery with a success rate of 30% at best." I said looking at her she looked at me in horror and then something I hated pity, but I didn't blow up at her. "Don't pity us especially me and Mika unlike everyone else Mika repeated the surgery twice. The more times you receive the surgery the better the data flow from the machine. So don't pity Mika, Mika, or any of the others it's an insult to our resolve. Afterall I have to protect them. Especially my reckless stupid little brother Mika." I paused catching my breath trying not to get heated. "So he was right when he said you are naive you who lived in a golden cage can't under stand what we who have been treated as less than human have gone through. I paused again to gauge her reaction. "If you truly want to understand us than watch… watch our resolve and our actions because we won't stop not yet and not ever." I said then quickly turned around and began walking away and stopped when she called out.
"Wait! You said you and Mika received the surgery more than once. She hesitated but still asked "How many? How many times for you?" She asked she sounded upset it pissed me off but I told her anyway
*sigh* "Five… I received it Five times not all of them by choice real bastards we're in charge of overseeing mine. It's a miricale im even alive" I said looking back at her over the shoulder she widend her eyes in horror. She looked like she was going to say something, but I left before she could say something noticing her assistant heading our way.
It was getting late so I went to bed talking her ruined my appetite. She's lucky she's cute otherwise I would've let her suffer. I was about to close my eyes when I heard an explosion followed by orders to mobilize. It was then I knew the situation my gut was telling me about was here.
Authors note: yo chapter 3 done sorry for the cliff hanger want to keep these around this many words gjarllarhorn's here and about to get fuckin Molly sopped hope I did Kudelia justice probably gonna have to rewatch some of the anime remember her character better pov changes will not be common and some may even be retroactive as they are mostly going to be the other characters reacting to Kagura. If anyone has a problem with Kagura having more than Mika that was initially planned and was only possible do to her body being weird you want more info look up despair memory gundam sequel (no clue why it's called that there is no story preceding it) main character pretty much explains why Kagura is so durable but she has no clue about that.
