Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Ye Shin Ye's Second Lesson.

The young maid reappeared with the three maids that tried to bully Ye Shin Ye and when Ye Shin Ye looked at them they shivered.

"See-" The steward said as she pointed at the three maids.

"They are scared to death of the young Miss." the steward said with a wail.

"Grand Abbot master," Ye Shin Ye said with her hands before her face.

"Yesterday when I was on my way back from washing my bedsheet, my mind wandered a little too far and I slipped and fell into water. With great determination, I finally succeeded in climbing out of the water but when I came out of it, maybe because of my appearance and extremely wet clothes, these three maids saw me tripped, then ran away as they yelled the word "Ghost"." Ye Shin Ye said pitifully and the steward looked at her in shock.

Before the steward could say anything to contradict her statement, Ye Shin Ye coughed and began to sweat profusely and the old monk looked at her in worry.

"You there!" the old monk said, referring to the young maid who had helped search for Ye Shin Ye's jewelry and called the three maids involved in the investigation.

"Check the young Miss's temperature quickly!." The old monk ordered and the young maid put her hand on Ye Shin Ye's forehead.

The minute the young maid put her hand on Ye Shin Ye's head, the young maid jumped and shouted "What a high fever!" and the room grew cold as the old monk's face darkened.

Turning to the steward in disappointment, the old monk said "For wanting to bully this poor girl who came to our doorstep just the day before, the steward is required to copy a thousand Buddhist scriptures by hand in repentance and is thereby stripped of her position until further notice." the old monk said and the steward sat on the floor in despair.

"Bring the young Miss some hot tea and a fresh set of bedsheets to cover herself." The old monk said as he ordered the onlookers who had gathered to watch the show.

"Fix her doors properly and get more candles for this room." The old monk said before walking away in disappointment.

"You wretch!" The steward said as she grabbed Ye Shin Ye's by the collar of her uniform.

"Slipping into water?" The steward yelled and the young maid who had found Ye Shin Ye's jewelry and checked her temperature ran out to call the old monk back.

"You poured sand in their hair and threatened them and all of a sudden you're sick?" The steward asked in disbelief and Ye Shin Ye smirked.

Flashback

"Would this really work?" Ye Shin Ye asked her seemingly empty surroundings.

"Of course." Shen Xiatang said with an evil smile.

"There were no eye witnesses when you attacked those maids so the steward can only accuse you with the word of mouth." said Shen Xiatang.

"To counter her word of mouth, you have to create a word of your own." Shen Xiatang said with an evil grin.

"But how do I get them to believe that it was because of my appearance they slipped and ran away and not because I bullied them?" Ye Shin Ye asked Shen Xiatang.

"Simple." Shen Xiatang said as she laid down on her back in the air.

"All you have to do is provide undeniable evidence." Shen Xiatang said and Ye Shin Ye nodded before submerging herself into ice cold water.

Flashback end

"Help!, Help! The steward wants to have me killed!" Ye Shin Ye screamed as she flailed in the steward's arms.

"Shut up, Shut up!" The steward said as she tried to cover Ye Shin Ye's mouth but just as her hand muffled Ye Shin Ye's screams the old monk stepped in.

"Jingxiu!" the old monk said sternly with the young maid at his side, as he caught the steward red handed.

"For being unrepentant even after I showed you mercy by simply stripping you of your position, you are hereby expelled from this monastery!." the old monk said sternly and when the steward tried to plead he raised his hand up.

"Drag her away!" The old monk ordered the onlookers and the onlookers grabbed the steward and dragged her out of Ye Shin Ye's living quarters.

"Young child," the old monk said to Ye Shin Ye.

"I am sorry that you had to face this injustice." the old man said in a sincere tone.

"This is a direct insult to the Ye's family kindness and I bear full responsibility for this." The old man said with a slight nod of his head.

"The Great Abbot master need not bear responsibility for anything." Ye Shin Ye said, bowing with her hands in front of her face.

"The Great Abbot master has already upheld justice for me by expelling the woman that tried to harm me." Ye Shin Ye said before doing a formal bow.

"That's more than enough." Ye Shin Ye said as she raised her head.

"Good child." The old monk said with a smile before leaving Ye Shin Ye's living quarters.

The minute the old monk left and the onlookers dispersed, Ye Shin Ye looked at the three maids that tried to bully her and gave them a small smile that sent them running.
