The next morning I woke up quickly, as a habit, and freshened up. I head downstairs to find Arcturus already up.
"Good Morning Arcturus!" I say to him, to which he is a bit taken aback on how I wake up this early.
"Had a good sleep Aedan? Come here and have your breakfast and then come outside I want to show you something, and also preferably - Jill?" She popped up in an instant.
"Would you give Taylen some light clothes to wear?"
In a while I was outside,wearing a dark blue tshirt and some loose trousers. The crisp cold morning air on my skin felt so good. I followed uncle into the forest.
"You see Taylen, I'm a Wild Man, and pretty fit too, at that. I love creatures, and as I grew along with my siblings in this mansion, my sister was all day buried in her books, my brother always doing something with his wand, and me, I learned living in the wild." He said as after a while we were in the deep forest.
I heard a loud breathing and I turned to see a dark horse, nearly skeleteon. The horse had wings. Yep it's a Thestral.
"These are Thestrals...and sadly you can see them, this very one, was your Father's, and -" a mini version of the Thestral appeared behind the adult one "that small one's yours." I approach the young one and try to touch it, it goes back first, to which it's father reacts, but then it comes towards me. After a while of playing with it, we went further into the forest.
As we went further in I saw more creatures which Arcturus told me and showed me.
Like Bowtruckes, Diricawls, Augurey aven some baby Acromantulas.
We then came to a lake clearing. The sight was beautiful. Arcturus told there are many more creatures in the forest, most are harmless, the harmful ones are rare.
Near the lakes during winters, Hippgriffs also give a small visit, there was a very small wooden shelter here. In which there were anvils, apparently Arcturus likes Forging.
We spend the while as he cuts some trees for wood for the month, some Doxy came and sat on my shoulders.
When Arcturus was heading home, he asked me to follow, but I wanted to sit for a while.
"Wait...you like all these stuff? I thought today's kids- you might not-"
"No Arcturus , I love it here, this is exactly how I want my life to be"
He smiled and patted my head.
He gave me a finger ring made kind of wood, but rubbery, he said it has a protection rune, it will protect me incase something happens.
As he left, I got up to do something which was the actual reason why I stayed back.
I want to see how am I physically, due to rituals and stuff. Whether less healthy or stronger instead.
I removed my shoes and ran in a straight line.
I felt like I was running like the wind. I was too fast- I was going to crash on a tree, but actually, the tree broke on impact and I didn't have a single scratch on me.
"WOHOOOO" I screamed as I ran back at the same full speed to the lake area.
I picked a peice of wood and threw it towards the lake clearing, and boy. It wasn't visible anymore.
I returned to home late evening and got back to studying.
Till the next day the same routine followed, except I asked Arcturus to teach me Forging and Handling weapons like axes and stuff. On returning home, I also asked him if I could be buffed like him, on which he laughed and said sure.
Within a year , I had already read about politics almost all the books, same goes for geography and social customs , improving them with handwritten notes between pages even because I compared the old books with the new ones and found faults in logic.
The muggle studies books were nonsense and History of Magic was done and dusted by me.
I was now growing and at around 4 feet in height and I was going bulky (in a muscle way). I had made a makeshift gym kind of thing in the forest with some wood I had broken and joined using magic, and I used to run with my thestral in mornings.
So one day I approached Arcturus as he was in his office.
"Hey Arctur? You busy?"
"No Taylen, come on in, what's the case?"
"Umm would you be willing to hire tutors for me so that I could learn spellcasting, Herbology, Potions, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes? As for the Creatures part, I have you? I completed the books on the ground floor, so I want to step in the magical world!" I said with my eyes like those puppies.
"Wait what? All of them?"
"No , I read most of them, maybe I could show you?"
He follows me to the library and I explain him
"Well you see first with the book ' Laws regarding Muggles and Muggle Borns' there were too much illogical statements, which according to modern day laws are totally nonsense, which on seeing I wrote down their explanation and corrections on notes and put them in between pages , same goes for the series of ' Laws on Creatures and Beings' and also for ' Imprisonment and Fines on Magical Crimes' series, I also added some points on the Magical world Maps on the other shelves and geographical books, and History of Magic Books..." Like this I went on explaining how I changed what and how, which took hours. He was too mad at first on how I confidently said the books were wrong, but when he read them, he was delighted.
"Kid. First of all, Brilliant. You're definitely getting those Tutors you asked for but first we need you to have some Ettiquete and Calligraphy classes, and only theoretical classes, you don't get a wand now, Deal?"
I nodded. And so did my grind start.
