I could see her response in the way her eyes glowed, and it was exactly what I thought.
Earlier, when we got the notice, Jamie had been worried about Rena chickening out and going back, but I had told him that she wouldn't.
I might have been wrong about Rena when I thought that she was working with them, but I knew she was a fighter.
Jason most certainly got used to seeing her softer side because of their child, but if he wanted her to come back, he needed to have enough reason.
Unfortunately, despite sending different teams to work on it all night, we still didn't have a lead on Daisy yet.
"The Council has some laws and on matters that aren't directly addressed by the law, the three Elders of the Council decide how it would be handled."
Rena nodded in understanding.
"I don't think what they really want back is me; I think they just want the last batch of the tonic that I took with me."
